involutional atrophy (sm)

I'm typing neuro exam:  Motor exam:  ...deconditioning and *involutional* atrophy of age.

When I *Googled* involutional atrophy, I got all these hits to member-protected medical websites; go figure... (just a little vent on the word board here).

Anyway, anyone familiar with this term? TIA.

Villous atrophy
Subject: Villous atrophy

I believe the doctor is saying true villous atrophy.  I'm not sure if the true part is right or if there's another word.  The doctor took biopsies of the duodenum and says they did find blunting and inflammation (if additional information is needed).  TIA.

I found the same thing myself. I did use the cephal atrophy, but I may be all wrong, maybe not. It is in the same sentence (a run-on btw), that is talking about possible neuropathy. Really just doesn't make sense to me.

Subject: hmmm--good possibility...sm

I had to send it back already with blanks and a note to my coordinator for some help. this sounds pretty close, as in the note to the referring physician, he mentioned a urine test for this too. It is hard to believe a one year old baby would have something like this though, but I do appreciate your help. I will let you know when I find out definitely what it is. oh, and I am hopped up on Hershey kisses with caramel, so don't feel bad! LOL. thanks again. I have a feeling this might be it.
