Not sure about the "five gram." And are you sure it is "decreased"? In this context, "increased" would make more sense.

If there were no stones in gallbladder, it would be acalculous cholecystitis, not acalculus.

I'd really recommend getting a Stedman's. I started doing Ophthalmology about a year ago and it was a life saver for me! I bought a used copy on eBay. Just took a quick peek there and saw one for under $5. Totally worth it! Good luck!!

I will not use it either. I do not think it is professional looking and if I was still going through training, it would not be acceptable to the school either. but my Stedman's spellcheck will not accept it, either.

Subject: not to be rude but Stedman's has been....sm

Not to be rude - it IS coffee grounds that one can vomit and when used as a noun, but when it's used as an adjective, it is coffee-ground emesis....I suppose it could be an either-or so I'm not giving anyone an argument.  Just have seen Stedman's be wrong on many occasions and I don't use Stedmans as a result.

To each his/her own....

additional info:

coffee-ground emesis is old blood in the vomitus, coffee-ground vomitus.
