Sony BM 820. Kind of pricy but really really the best. I used to type 7 days a week on this baby. Still have it.

Another cheaper one is Pearlcorder T100. It is okay but I tended to jerk the light little thing around on my desk. Also the ERASE button is right next to the other ones, so I used to tape a bottle cap over it so as not to reach over and ruin myself!!!!!

http://www.emedicine.com/ — this is my personal favorite. A lot of time when you Google a condition, like "diaphragmatic hernia" it will bring up E.medicine.com article. These articles give the alternate names, treatments, etc. Great source.

especially the drugs are listed categorically. For instance, if you heard a drug but couldn't quite get it but knew it was for (for example) Parkinson's disease, you could look it up under "antiparkinsonian drugs." Drake & Drake has a similar book, XRef.

I'd love to use the Internet more but I can only get dialup in my area and it takes waaaaay too long. Books are faster for me.

As far as Sherlock Holmes is concerned, I was more of an Inspector Clousseau.

Dealing with ESL dictation
Subject: Dealing with ESL dictation

Just looking for some advice on dealing with a heavy load of ESL dictators, all different accents.  I've been an MT for 10 years and haven't dealt with quite this many before.  I'm not the leave a blank type of gal, so I'm wondering if there's a secret.
