The carpal ligament was identified and this was opened proximally and distally through the palmar aspect of the hand. Distally, we placed a s/l flatmouth malleable.
2/7 camera with carpal tunnel release

Next, the s/l -2/7- camera was placed inside the cutting guide, a straight knife was used to cut part of the transverse carpal ligament, next followed by the hooked knife and the hook knife was used to cut distally first, then the camera was flipped to the distal portal and the knife was placed in the proximal portal and the rest of the transverse carpal ligament was divided.
