I have that same argument with my spellchecker.

Couldn't document it in my reference books, only got 800 hits on Google.  However, the doctor said it and QA changed it back to brachioplexus from brachial plexus, so I added it to the spellchecker dictionary.  It's another one of those undocumentable words that are becoming commonly used.

I have Stedman's medical spellchecker installed and it will automatically cap the ones that are brand names and leave uncapped the generic ones. Very rarely do I have to check on line to see.
