hysterectomies?

Forgive me, I rarely work on women, so I'm a little rusty.  In her PMH, doc says: 

She has had hysterectomies in the past for various gynecological disease processes. 

I am thinking that it should be hysterectomy.  It seems like you would only have your uterus removed once.  Am I missing something?
