lateral "trans" sphincterotomy

Patient has an anal fissure.  Schedule for what sounds like "lateral trans sphincterotomy".  Anyone heard of the "trans" part?  Maybe that is not what she says.  TIA

This is for total knees.  He consistently says, AP, lateral, sunrise, and S/L forefoot cassette.  I should know this!  Cannot find a site with list of x-rays either.  THanks for any help.
