Died of GERD?
Subject: Died of GERD?

Can GERD really kill you? I've got a doc who sounds like she is saying "She has a sister who died of gastroesophageal reflux."

But all my attempts at Googling have failed to unearth anything that said GERD was a life-threatening disease... Do I really need my ears checked or is this something that could actually happen?

I imagine the doctor is saying the patient had a sister who died with GERD.

Poorly structured sentence. Sister had GERD and also died.

he just can't pronounce it.  I have this one guy that's so annoying because he adds extra consonants throughout names and words.  I'll be trying to find Dr. Adakariana when it's really Akdaran.
