REALLY sounds like ETOX.   I considered detox but can't reference AND there really is no D sound at all.  Can anyone help?

This is a 4 day old infant with jaundice.  The doctor states the baby has rising "transbutating"? bilirubin levels.  I cannot catch the "trans" word- it sounds like transmutating, transfutating...  Any ideas?
