Subject: s/l airy syphilis?

OBJECTIVE:  Exam reveals an erythematous rash into the malar area with some swelling of the upper lip and perioral region.  Intraoral exam reveals moderate gingivitis around the lower incisors but no fair entry point for infection or abscess.

ASSESSMENT

Facial cellulitis, reminiscent of (s/l airy syphilis), lacking any marked fever or toxicity however.

PLAN

Cephalexin 500 mg q.i.d. for 7-10 days.  Follow up visit is planned in 2 weeks to ensure resolution if needed.

What could this be?  I hope I did not give too much information to read.  I would appreciate any help. Thanks
