Laparotomy for small bowel obstruction. The only thing I can think of that it could be is "peritoneal", but I'm not sure. It just doesn't really sound like he's saying that.


Sentence: Small what appeared to be a s/l perial-in-sit cavity in the subcutaneous tissues in the inferior portion of the incision was cultured.

Does this sound like anything to anyone?  Almost sounds like serial but maybe with a "p-u" infront, like purial.  The patient was treated with Keflex and Septra.
