It sounds like doc is saying "it drops out of joint when it is in the "appendant" position. I could not find it in any books or on internet. Could someone tell me what he's saying? Thanks.

The doctor is a hand surgeon.  He does not give specific diagnosis, but indicates that this is a followup visit for surgery of the PIP joint.

DIAGNOSIS: Right bunionette and cyst at the s/l MTV joint.

I know it could be MTP but it really sounds like a "v".

I searched the word board as well as Google and couldn't find any mention of this. The doctor speaks very clearly and there is no doubt that he is saying PCP joint. I just do not know what it stands for and must expand all abbreviations used in the diagnosis/impression. Thank you for any help.

New dictator, mumbling, with fuzzy audio.  He's on the osseous structures and articular surfaces of the shoulder MRI dictation.  He says:  "Negative for bone marrow edema to suggest s/l roo-beck-la sush-en-v or capital-oh-see-dee."  Help!  Never says these words again and I'm going back for a millionth listen.

You can get a ganglion cyst in almost any joint. If it's wrist, "fat pad" could be correct, but it seems unlikely.
colectomy of the 2nd MTP joint?

I had a blank on a podiatry exam that my QA filled in like this...


"would recommended a modified Weil osteotomy to decompress the joint along with opening up and cleaning up any osteophytes and possibly a colectomy of the second metatarsophalangeal joint."


I had a blank where the word colectomy is.  I've never heard of a colectomy of the MTP joint.  I did a search but didn't find anything.  I'd like to document it if it exists.
