I made a BIG mistake. SM

I was working for this great company who only required 2000 lines a day and had a very flexible schedule.  I couldnt handle the 2000 lines a day in addition to my other position and had to quit.  Then a little later, asked if I could have another chance.  She gave me this chance and then, again, it was too hard for me to keep up with all the work.

Now I am on a different schedule with school starting again as well as other circumstances and this would just be the perfect scenerio for me.  The 2000 lines a week.

I have been searching for other companies that might have this type of position available and have failed to locate one.  Do you think it would be completely wrong of me to ask, yet again, for another chance?  Or would I be coming off too nutty. :-)

Just asking for opinions.  Go ahead and tell the truth.  If you think I am a nutcase, go ahead and let me know.  LOL.  Just want pure honesty here.

Also if anyone else has ever been in the same position as I, I'd love to hear about it.  At least I would know I am not the only one.

I made a mistake, geez! sm
I thought I WAS posting in the correct spot on the board. My experience WAS with the guy I mentioned in my original post. I thought it was the same name as the OP stated ... the names are VERY similar (only a couple letters off) so it was an honest mistake. I never would've posted if I hadn't seen it and been curious whether it was the same guy, so there would never have been a post for me to put elsewhere. Man, oh man. Much ado 'bout nothing.

I apologized and corrected it, but my experience remains the same with the person I originally referred to (again, sorry it was not the OP's guy) and I didn't say anything that is going to sully anyone's reputation one way or the other to any great extent. He might very well be a great guy and I never said he was anything less! Even if it HAD been the same guy the OP mentioned, I would never take anything on these boards with anything more than a grain of salt, and I would investigate and draw my own conclusions before deciding for myself.

I should've double checked the name before posting, and for that I have apologized and continue to apologize. I didn't realize it caused such an uproar behind the scenes. It's not like I said the guy was a murderer or something - just that he sounded like a salesperson! LOL
Hey, QA, I made another mistake .. pull my post .. LOL
Pardon the html in my post, as I tried to enter smileys ... lol ... there was no way to proofread ~ and I didn't anyway, because it's time for me to get ready for work. I also said not being turned down ~ should have been no not .. LOL .. toodles ~ I'm outta here and not participating anymore. ;o)
if you are referring to the mistake the webmedx MT made
The mistake the Webmedx absolute disaster post made was that she was toggling between her two newly assigned accounts, each of which required many of the opposite criteria/spects for the accounts--she mistakenly bolded and capped impression for one when that client preferred lower case, unbolded impression. The templates for these two clients were identical and it was so easy to confuse which you were on I would defy anyone not to occasionally make a mistake of this nature when toggling between these two identical- appearing client accounts, with the reports randomly coming up one or the other and nearly impossible to tell which hospital you're in and it is your first and second days! It was a 'Russian roulette.'
I hope you made a mistake when you posted below my response.
I certainly do not have an easy account like the poster I responded to. I don't complain about TT. I like it there and plan to stay. They treat there people decently, not like some other companies.
God forbid the poor poster made a mistake by posting on the wrong board!! Good grief!

My mistake. It was MDI-FL. sm
They called me back yesterday finally and found out that it was MDI-FL.  I was offered the position which I gladly took.  The funny thing is that Transcend has the account now that my previous employer had and was taken away and given to Transcend.  I am crossing my fingers I will get on that one (although not holding my breath either).  The line rate seems good.  The schedule is what I need.  So we shall see.  So far so good.
mistake
Yes. Mistake made. Windows Vista not compatible with a lot of MT software. Go to Microsoft.com and find what IS compatible, by manufacturer's name.
its a mistake. This was before
this is a mistake..if you check the dates it was before the layoff..
My mistake...
It was not Keystrokes, it was a different company in Illinois on the list that was no longer in service. Just one of those Monday moments on a Thursday!
Big Mistake :-(

Anybody else ever think they figured it out, schedule wise, and end up leaving a company for another one and then realize they made a HUGE mistake?  But it is too late because the doctor that you transcribed was already given to someone else.....

I was working for a great company!!!!  One that, for some reason, will occasionally get some bad reviews here.... which I do not understand why.. had a baby, had to leave one company (as I was working for three) and let go of the wrong one!!!!  But was too stressed out at the time, when making my decision, to realize it.

I wish I could do a system restore on my work situation and set myself back to when I was with that company working on my favorite doctor!!!!

It was a mistake and not a huge one...
GET OVER IT! The poster said they were sorry about the mistake twice now (I wouldn't have after the first time), and it's not that big of a deal anyway! What are you this guy's wife/mother/sister or something? I can't imagine getting so upset about a post about some guy you worked with that again was a MISTAKE?

Take a Valium or 12 and settle down, LOL You keep calling someone out for making a small mistake that's is not going to hurt anything or anyone and who already apologized twice! Plus, your getting yourself frazzled over nothing.
My mistake. You are correct.
So, did the REAL KS recruiter post those messages?
Learn from my mistake
Do not go to work for Robin Hall.  To this date she still owes me over $800 and I can't reach her in any way.  Phone, IM, e-mail, cell... nothing.
Can you tell me why? I really need to know, I can't make another mistake.
nm
DSG website mistake? sm

DSG website has  a link to a website called MTIA saying it stands for Medical Transcription Industry Association.  When you click on the link it takes you to a place that is a website for Missouri Tellecommunications Industry Association!!  Is this an honest mistake or a scam?  Lots of people probably wouldn't even check  the links.

Just wondering.

Please don't mistake me for the spelling cop, but (sm)
You stated that the QA people are supper helpful too... Does that mean that they'll drop in around 4:30 p.m. and start getting dinner ready for me too? LMAO!
is her mistake of posting on the sm
wrong board of such significance that it disrupts your life? Good grief, have you nothing else to do?
If your going to be an RN just for more money your making a mistake..sm
I was an RN and I hated it.  Horrible hours, awful doctors with egos, patients who have no respect for you, etc.  People who are RNs do if for the love of helping people, not money.
Alex-Med -- did they make a mistake in their ad?

The line rate begins at 2.5 GROSS for an IC position... It doesn't say whether it is for transcription or editing?

That doesn't sound right.

Not bashing, just wondering.

Oops, my mistake....yes, TSSC is in SC...

*

You would be making a huge mistake....sm
...by even wasting one second of your time with OSi. There's plenty on these boards to back up my opinion.

But, if you are seeking that first year experience, I suppose OSi should be considered.

Good luck!
Did you look in your spam folder to see if there by mistake?
No I am in Oklahoma. For the MT who says she did not get her line count, you need to look in your spam folder of your email. When I first started I was not getting mine and it was in the spam folder. Please try that and if your truly did not get your line count, have you contacted Raul, or Tonya, or anyone and asked why. If you did what did they tell you. This truly is a wonderful company if I can help please email me at sheryl.cantrell@gmail.com I promise to help in any way I can.
Sorry, but Jester is a pretty bad mistake
I'm not laughing. I'm horrified.

OOPS - yea I saw my mistake after I posted.

because it showed 10 times the same mistake
in this post and ironically regarding 'MT, MT's, MTs and MTs', and blabbering how much MTs are taken advantage of....
Oops wrong board. Another mistake by me
I had just got off the phone when I did this.  I am going to take a long break from the computer
Ok. I could handle once as a mistake if explained promptly and fixed. Twice? I would run sm
as fast as I could. Twice in two months? What if you never get paid at all? You would be better going with a national while getting your own so that you have benefits and a steady paycheck. Start your own accounts slowly so that you start right.
I was sent a gift card by mistake- addressed to my supervisor
I emailed my supervisor and she said sh ewas expecting a gift card in the mail and to mail it to her. I called the company... they said it was a mistake.. So, I am wondering, did only management get giftcards, or did all employees but me get a gift card. I happily mailed the card to my supervisor. I also sent my notice of resignation to Probity.
Not on ER here, another acct. Got an email by mistake a few days ago with an Indian person in the
s
People do make mistakes sometimes. Maybe it was an oversight or plain ole mistake
on someone's part, an unintentional mistake. It is possible.
Worked for an MT service that had a mistake on the cover of Employee Manual (sm)
That is bad.
professionable -- thats cute- did you make this mistake on purpose or really think that is a word?

I have never heard professionable before.  lol

Have worked for both. I am back at Keystrokes after making the mistake of leaving for Accusis.
My pay at Keystrokes has always been much higher because they seem to never run out of work. Accusis is mostly offshore, which is a negative to me. Ask Keystrokes to match the rate, I bet they will if you forego the review in 90 days. I will never leave again!
u made 300 a week? That's more than I made there.
But no work, no pay. Nice ppl, they really are, some of the nicest in the business. Just can't communicate to save their lives and the recruiters are lying dogs.

I'd say if you're looking for part-time work, as in less than 20 hrs a week's worth of work, then this place is for you. Use them as ur backup. Because guaranteed that's all they're using you for.

They have definitely made some changes for the better - sm
There are a few people that are no longer there, that made working there very very very horrible, and they have a new insurance plan, and everything is going real smooth now!!
You made my day also! nm
.
I have seen that ad and it made me
sick to my stomach. That is why whenever someone finds out what I do for a living, I am extremely quick to point out the fact that you cannot make near that much. Well, I guess if you had your own accounts and lived in a very busy area, but not where I live.
I made 38+, some are up to 50K. BUT...you need to know...
You need to consider that recruiters work *for the company*, and they don't call the shots on what they sell. I eventually left the biz because I wasn't comfortable with what I was told to say to prospective MTs, knowing it wasn't reality. When you get in the door and things are different, remember also that the supervisor is probably not be in the know about what is sold on the front end, and the recruiter isn't to blame, either. It's senior management that should have their feet held to the fire.

So, don't shoot the messenger, please, because they aren't always in control of the script they're given. I speak from experience.
More $$ can be made as an RN BUT
the work is incredibly physically demanding, shift work is the norm, and holidays have to be covered.   If you love nursing, become a nurse - but don't go into it for the $$.
I made nearly $60,000 ...
…in the 80s, when I worked for a hospital. Now that I work for a national company. my salary is $24,000 a year.
Don't know, but it made me...
think of on-point.  Stay away, very far away....
Made in USA

It's pretty hard to find anything made in this country anymore.  I just recently heard that Walmart imports their produce from Mexico and China!!!  Wouldn't eat anything from that place.  I don't need my veggies fertilized with people poop thank you very much.

I just took my Gateway laptop back to Best Buy for the 2nd time since I bought it 3 months ago.  Hard drive went out within the first month.  Now it won't even turn on.  The guy who took it for service said it was the cheap made in China  parts.  Cheap isn't the issue with me, quality is.  But I don't particularly consider that $1200+ laptop CHEAP.

And that is so bad??!! I have never made
such easy $$ as here at KS on Meditech.  It rocks!!!
I made a little more than that....sm
at my previous employer, but not much more, probably about $2200 a month. I am not sure what I will be making where I am now because of all the variables....efficiency of platform, difficulty level of docs, etc. However, I do live simply. I do not currently have dish tv (cannot get cable where I live). I mostly eat at home and eating out is rare. I shop the specials at the grocery store and only buy meat on sale and then I don't buy things like shrimp, salmon fillets, etc. I don't spend a lot on clothes. I drive an older model (2001) car when I drive which is not all that often. I don't take vacations anywhere but rather spend the time here at home catching up on things that have been neglected the other 50 weeks out of the year. I also have a very close relationship with my Lord and Savior and feel that helps me cope with life in general and living on a small salary in particular. I'm not saying that everything is roses or that there is nothing that I lack or want for, but because I live simply, I find that I can live better on less. I realize also that I live in an area of the country where the cost of living is relatively low by national standards and I feel very blessed in that respect. My heart does go out to those who are trapped in areas where living is more expensive. Not being able to buy a box of mac and cheese to feed your kids (as another MT mentioned on here) must be an awful feeling.
omg u made my day!
For Real ! thanks for that :)

It sounds like the downsides are nothing to be worried about, I can deal with that.

Thanks again!
They made it up!
I believe the person that posted the message about the earthquake in Oregon was just trying to show that you can make up and post anything; it does not necessarily mean it's true.
Made in the USA.
We could save a ton of money by coming together, keeping a low overhead, incorporating, organizing state offices, could keep the rate low by not having to compensate CEOs. It would have to start out slow and grow by word of mouth.
