Sounds like typical tech

I was warned not to let Lexmark or Windows IT people get into my computer if I ever had to call for tech support - sounds like this guys is the same way. I hate techs who THINK they know what they are doing and just royally screw up your system. They are trained that your system should look a certain way and if it doesn't the first step is to FIX it - problem is fixing it usually screws up your programs. They are setup up that way for a reason!!

Anyway, my time at Landmark did not require logging into anything so that is probably why my time was so pleasant. I'm sorry they can't get their act together on this! It probably is the hospital and the tech person is desperately working with theirs to get it all fixed - but if communication is really that bad I can imagine what THAT must be like.

Sorry it didn't work out, I know you were looking forward to working with them!!

This sounds like typical DSG to me...
I have been gone almost 2 years and nothing has changed...I would say move on...
Right it's a typical office job sounds like.
You could always moonlight for acute care and make money to supplement.  That's what I did for 17 years at a 13 dollar an hour job until they outsourced without warning.  Just know that could happen to you at this new position (the work is there one day and gone the next and you are training your replacement), and you'll be fine.  Good luck!
Have you considered radiology tech or lab tech?
A lot of the credits you have acquired for nursing transfer to both of those programs. Probably a little less stressful.
try transriptiongear.com's tech support. They do gearplayer tech support whereever you bought yo

so typical
I wasnt fired, I left.  I did what I said, worked my shift if there was work.  I have always had good quality.  Keystrokes let me down in every way you could imagine.  I was lied to, left with no work most of the time, not given the pay they said they hired me in at on some of my checks, my pay rate as well as all other MTs was then demoted due to company problems.  I had bad checks written to me and had a hard time getting that fixed.  Not every MT was a bad MT that left Keystrokes.  Some of us are telling the truth and have every right to say what we post here.
Typical and not likely to get better.

typical
I have not heard this yet, but it is typical of the Flannery's to not share anything they absolutely don't have to until the last minute, keeping everyone in the dark, even eliminating positions without notice via e-mail. This is nothing new for them.
Okay, here is a typical day for me....
Up at 7 a.m., out walking by 7:30 a.m. for an hour, I do a rowing machine for 20 minutes and then 200 steps on a stepping machine and 3 days a week I do another 20 minutes on a treadmill, and another 3 days a week I lift weights. I eat 1500 to 1800 calories a day and I am still over 100 pounds overweight. I eat no candy, no sweets, no chips, no fast food. My thyroid is fine. So now what MISS KNOW IT ALL????? I work my butt off and I still have a huge butt, dang, I guess I am still fat by choice. Oh, and I have done this workout for 8 months now and I have lost a total of 7 pounds. So, once again, KISS MY -SS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, that is not typical. Something is very wrong.
xx
You know that is a typical response if you have
a negative comment - maybe the issue is you and you just can't cut it.  I was a great employee, it just wasn't the company for me.
Are you a typical TT MT, with that mouth???
x
That pay is not typical. They are not hiring SM
for the higher level accounts that pay well. They are hiring new people at very low rate of pay. Then you are supposed to work your way up. Actually, my sound quality is pretty good. Still don't recommend because most work goes to India.
It's the typical rate

Typical Ignorance
You have to excuse people like that. The region of the country has nothing to do with crappy MT companies. Wonder why they apply for companies in the south, when it's easy to look up the company and see where they are located before applying? Perhaps they can't read, or maybe they lost their religion.
Typical mentality: TAKE, TAKE, TAKE ..nm

Trans Tech Medical Solutions or Trans Tech Svcs?
Which is the one that everyone is always saying is so good to work for?  Trans Tech Medical Solutions or Trans Tech Services out of Iowa?  Thanks for any clarity you can provide!!!!
Typical bait and switch
They are nice in the beginning, then you get lost in their shuffle. You get mass e-mails that maybe do not even apply to accounts you work on - to the tune of sometimes a half dozen or so per day - that you are told to read NOW, before you start typing. Trying to get an answer to a specific question is like trying to reach the president himself. They tell you the accounts are good, then you get put on pure garbage accounts where you will struggle to make your line counts.

The thing is, a few years ago when I began with them they were great. It seems as they have expanded, chaos has taken over. I am currently looking elsewhere. Others have already left. Notice how they are always hiring now?!
There are better, there are worse. They are a typical national, and yes you have to pay for the com

Seriously, dont let them bother you.. This behavior is typical.
It is normal for some people here to react this way. It would probably be beneficial for THEM to get out of the house to remember how civilized people converse.
Typical holiday at Transcend - no work!

They musta sent all my stuff over to India so they can all get new saris for their next holiday.    Meantime, there goes my lunch for 3 weeks.  Ya happy now Transcend management?  You have managed to put us all in the poor house.  Hope your summer cottages burn and your boats sink.

Is it typical for decreased pay for not meeting line requirements? sm

I know every company is different but has anyone had their pay rate decreased for failure to meet line requirements?  I have heard of taking away benefits, etc. before but never heard of decreased pay rates for IC because of this nor have I ever heard of the pay rate being different for full time versus part timers within the same company.  I have health issues causing my lack of meeting line requirements.  It isn't because I just don't want to work.  I guess this is just another tactic to take money out of our pockets and into theirs like the pay rate isn't low enough already.  Geez by the time I cover my expenses as an IC, I doubt I come out with anything anyway.  I might as well just work for free for the government to donate all my money overseas!

Has anyone ever figured out how much difference is needed in pay between IC and employee to cover average expenses related to the job?  I know standard is 1 cent usually and that does not cover my expenses.

Webmedx work pretty low. Typical for this time of year? sm
I'm fairly new, so just wondering. Having come from the evil Q, it makes me nervous. While at the Q and a couple other companies, this is not the time of year I typically ran out of work--Christmas, T-giving, 4th of July, yes, now, no. Thanks.
Typical year round. They overhire. I left due to lack of
work.  About 6 other MTs left when I did, that I am aware of, due to lack of work.  There are accounts with a lot of work and frequent OT, but I was told they couldn't be worked on as a secondary account.  Made no sense at all to me.
So you work for free? Typical male response, jerk.
nm
"becausse" is high standards? nice. typical of the caliber of MTs they have.

Concerned about the low work at WebMedx over the past few weeks. Typical for this time of year?
I've not been through a summer with them before. My main account, which always had plenty of work and occasional overtime, has been low for well over a month now. I have 2 backup accounts that are low as well. In fact, all my STM's accounts are very low volume. In all the years I've transcribed, I've never had this problem in August. It worries me more perhaps since I'm ex-MQ and consistent low work was a signal of a major downhill turn for that company. Thanks.
sure sounds swell. Sounds like 2350 ln/day @ 4 cents/ln=$90./day
in order to figure how many line needs to be produced to make $500 per pay period. ie, how many lines an hour needed per 8 hour day --at your rate.

So say $450 a week would be $90 a day.
For example, if making 4 cents a line, need 2,250 lines a day, 281 an HOUR (to listen through and edit) to make this great wage of $90. a day FOR ALL THIS SAME SKILL, TO KEEP UPDATED WITH CHANGING MEDICAL COMMUNITY. nope Better at Jack-in-Box Pass it up.
Sounds like it and it sounds like you must tell them when they will be and no change them. Wonder
what you do when there is no work. Well, there will be a lot of problems with this whole plan if they dont get things straightened out with this no work situation.
Med-Tech
I worked there for 2 years and I liked it fine. The company has been going through changes internally and going onto a neew system, so I don't know how it is now. You do have to work in-house until you get up to speed (I think that is still applicable) No problem with getting paid direct deposit every two weeks. Supervisors and QA people are readily available for questions/problems. A very fair and nonabusive QA team Some have not liked the company, but I found them fair and easy to work for, one of the better services I have been involved with. They deal with hospitals and large clinics, no individual practices. You get a variety of work. You do have to start out working evening shifts, I believe....like I said I've been gone for a while, but I hope this helps.
Med-Tech

I tested with Med-Tech a few days ago and I got an E-mail today to contact them regarding my scores. Does anyone know if this is a good company and/or if this is good news? Thanks!

Med-Tech
Are you still working for them? How is it?
tt tech

how is the technical department at transtech?  Is it better to have your own computer or are theirs pretty reliable??

Thanks to all in advance.  I would appreciate any input.

Med-Tech Help . . . .
Does anyone else work for Med-Tech?  I got my first check but not my second and no one in payroll has responed to me as of yet.  Do they only pay once a month?  Or only cut a check over a certain amount?  I'm really tired of fighting for my money with these transcription places.  It makes me sick.  I work because I have to work -- it's not like it is just a hobby!
re: Med-Tech
They pay on the 1st and the 15th of the month. When did you receive your last paycheck?
MT Tech
Why do they have a flashing "now hiring" sign?  Everytime I call in for work the pool is dry!
CPR Tech

Also did a short time with company.  Dictaphone needed and second line.  Thought platform was easy enough.  No training given, jump right in with heavy ESL and super speed MDs (was told ESLs but not told almost every dictator would be one).   Rerecording makes ugly MDs even worse.  It was assumed experience in all fields.  Pay was on time, however.

Does Med-Tech offshore?
Maybe the tech can get in there and see if

T-Tech
I know there has been a lot of discussion about T-Tech on here lately but would like to know if there is anyone there who really likes it and would be willing to e-mail and share their experience.  Would like to know about schedule flexibility, software, ESL, etc.  Thanks in advance.
Med-Tech

Is there anyone out there with familiar with the company Med-Tech?  Any information grealy appreciated.

Ask Tech
There is a word Expander on BeyondTXT.  Ask them.  I do believe they can include what they call a short-cut which will export your Expanders over.  Not exactly sure, but they are really helpful... glad to see we have new MTs.... keep in touch if I can be of help.  Im relatively new but would share what knowledge I have.  I work on BeyondTXT for 2 months.
can't the tech help you do that?
x
Tech should help
The techies are very aware of how to transfer your MQ Expander files to be used in MDI. Ask Matt or Greg, they have been doing this for years! Ask them about the aco file, do not try to do it on your own.
MED-TECH
Anyone know what MED-TECH pay is starting at?  I have a year exp.  I am wondering what kind of pay the offer generally.  They sent a test to me.  I hate to waste time on testing if the pay is not good.  I already have one job with bad pay.  I don't want another.
