It is very frustrating when you get conflicting guidelines from different editors. I would make a document cutting and pasting some of the conflicting guidelines and then sent it in the form of an email and cc to all involved and nicely say would you get your act together and tell me what exactly the guidelines are you want me to follow. With conflicting guidelines from different editors you will never get off 100% QA.
