Serving Over 20,000 US Medical Transcriptionists

100%QA

I am an excellent Transcriptionist and with my current job I was stuck on QA for almost 3 months.  Anywhere else I had ever worked it was a couple of days at the most and believe me I am proud of my 99.4% audit scores.  I was very disappointed, but it also happened that the account was new and everyone was on full QA for a while, and also there was differing of instruction like you are talking about, getting different answers from different people, and I did exactly what you have been told here.  I saved EVERY SINGLE email I got from QA and then I got the supervisor and the QA manager on the phone after sending each and every email I had received to them, asking for a definitive explanation.  I was still kept on QA and that's okay.  I know how good I am and you should too.  Don't let what some QA people have called the KIA disease (know-it-all) get you down.  Some people get into QA for the money, some because the don't want to type anymore and some because they like to tell people what to do.  There is ALWAYS going to be at least 1 of them that likes to tell people what to do at every company, even if it means telling you different things on different days.  It is just the nature of the beast.  If you are not comfortable with how long you are on QA, go to your supervisor and ask for a meeting to talk about why, and as I said, don't let anyone make you feel stupid or incompetent, you are who you are and how good you are does not depend on what others think of you... and there is my philosophical advice for the day LOL. I truly hope things work out for you.
