My point was NOT that 6 cpl was anywhere near what the pay should be. However, these days it seems most are starving, not because of the cpl but for the lack of work. My point was anyone would come out ahead having steady work at 6 cpl. 1500 LPD @ 6 cents = $90.00. 500 LPD @ 15 cpl = $75.00. NO one is going to get anywhere close to 15 cpl these days, more like max of 9 cpl and at that the pay would be $45 per day for the same 500 lines, which some MTs I know are sitting in front of a blank screen 10-12 hours a day just to get 500 lines. Ridiculous..
