Also KS Question in this regard...(sm)

Posted By: mt on 2008-07-16
In Reply to: Does KS pay an evening differential? - Donna

It is my understanding KS does not pay shift differential, bonuses for working on days off, etc. In other words, if you are already making the maximum lines per day that you can, there is no real incentive to work days off, etc. I may be wrong about this, so it would be helpful if a KS person could confirm/deny this. Have they ever had an incentive program in the past but it didn't work out? Not trying to cause any problems here, just interested....

Regard deposit
The deposit for the equipment is $250, but like stated before payments are in installments. $25 to $35 per pay period. You should try them. They are a good company to work for. No underlying discrepancies occur there.
With regard to your last sentence (sm)
I bet I can guess who is the scammer and who you are working for now.  You are right on both counts -
In regard to SmartMed
what is the eSmartMed curriculum about?  Has anyone taken the curriculum courses and gone through the internship, and then hired by them?  I am curious about this.
With regard to insurance premiums, sm

Who would you say has the best insurance to offer, at a reasonable price. I am currently paying about $500 for family coverage per month; that does not include dental and vision.  It is probably another 100 a month.

Also, what companies out there provide the equipment; including computer and software?

With regard to that on-site training
Does SS pay for travel expenses, including lodging, meals, etc? Or does the MT have to pay out of pocket?
Seeking info regard DaVenture
sorry about my mistake...guess I should pay more attention to how I spell company names...they just might hold it against me!!!!!
Except - if things change with regard to offshoring,
hiring an American union member may be the most cost-effective way to go.

Making offshoring undesirable and EXPENSIVE should also be on MTs' agendas, this coming year.
Regard CC Transcription, Carol Joyce...sm
She has promptly paid my invoice.  This matter is closed by me.  Please email CC Transcription if you  have any questions or problems with anything.  I am no longer an IC with her company and if anyone has any questions, please contact the company. Thank you.
Feeling clueless in regard to MT platforms such as Extext, etc. sm
I have always worked with MS Word and WordPerfect. Had my own clients for many years, as well as working for MTSO as an IC. I have never worked on a transcription platform such Extext or any of the other common platforms. I am well versed in working digitally with FTP, TASP, etc. I currently work for a service and continue to work strictly in MS Word and FTP transfer. I worry about this lack of experience with these platforms What can I do to educate myself in the event I choose to go with a large national who uses a MT platform? Quite honestly, I have never even used a shortcut program other than auto correct in MS Word because I have very, very few repetitive dictations, as I type many different specialties and doctors, who each has their own style and format required (mainly teaching and research hospital) Thanks for any ideas.
I can't remember where I first heard this line, but with regard to AHDI.... sm
Remember, the court-appointed psychiatrist is not your friend.
What is their policy with regard to weekend work, and do they supply equipment?
Thanks.
