Being an MT...sm

I have been an MT for the last 18 years and each year my income has gotten smaller and smaller. I think I'm probably making about half of what I did 10 years ago. It's sad! I love transcription and I think that the knowledge and experience that we old timers have is so underestimated and not appreciated. I used to mentor people to transcribe, but now when someone asks about becoming a Transcriptionist I always advise against it.
