Ew, I thought they were one of the good hourly ones. Changes my opinion of them.

I thought they fired all hourly. Then someone posted below
that she spoke to them a few days ago and was told that QA is paid hourly? What gives?
Fairly flexible but they do like a schedule. Insurance is good. Benefits are good in my opinion.

For the past week, work has been a little slower but I think that is common in every company..some days busy and other not.

Do they pay hourly or production for QA? Is it good pay? nm

I love QA, but I'd only do it for a good hourly wage that
nm
Not so good in my opinion!
Every time I apply for them and they send me an e-mail back asking me to contact them, I leave a message, but then they never bother to contact me. Waste of time in my opinion. They have done this several times.
Not a good way to get paid, plenty of the better companies pay hourly.
x
In my opinion, this is not a good company.
Based on my experience there, I would venture to say that people are leaving. There seems to be lots of unfriendly team leads. My Indian team leads were great, but unfortunately they got rid of them.

There is no paid time off. Management is poor.
Worked out to a pretty good hourly rate, just not the right company for me. nm

What is the general opinion about the packet? Good or Bad
Did receive mine yet?
And a great opinion! Good post. nm

What company is good in your opinion if Spheris is the worst? (nm)
nm

Thanks
Still good companies in my opinion...was not on the list. Check them out for yourself OP

They have created a new position that pays hourly. Anyone know what the hourly rate range is? NM
xx
A combo hourly/incentive or straight hourly rate based on
A platform where MTs have had major input in developing it.

10 annual days of PTO, at average hourly rate.

Affordable, decent health insurance.

QA done by very experienced high-level MTs, with open and respectful communication between QA and the MTs.
Appreciate the thought, but it's good enough for me
...and more than you usually get in the workplace, so I'll take it. Thanks, Michelle.:)
I thought the pay was very good
It ran from 14-18 based on production......if they had direct deposit, I'd STILL be there!
I never thought of that, good luck. nm

Isn't FutureNet IC only, though? 10 cpl either way is good, but I thought they were

good perspective, I thought of this too when sm
I posted yesterday, thought this may be happening, i.e., helpless situation for supervisor who prob. relies on so-called expertise of that worker, perhaps does not know medical transcription herself. It is a concern your name/work record being ruined.
I thought it was good when I charged

I charged that even for half pages.  I did clinic work, so most were only short letters.  Doctor was happy and I was happy.  I transcribed in Word.  The difference was made up when I had length letters for the workers' comp cases, so it all evened out.

I'd shoot for that in a minute!

Are you being sarcastic or serious? I thought it was a good post. nm
nm
Good to know. Thought maybe I was falling through the cracks. nm
nm
I had no idea, I thought Medware was one of the good guys.
Guess I won't be applying with them after all.

To those already with them, I hope you can all agree to not assist offshore typists to take jobs from US MTs.
Really? I thought it sounded like a good line rate.
nm
I thought that cpl seems a little too good. Without spaces would make sense. Not
sure how much you really make per line without spaces.
GOOD. This is important. Glad you thought ahead.
.I think we as women are condition to wait and see how it goes. Has it really ever gotten better -- whatever THAT was. We need to learn to believe our gut. When My Office Genie sold to MQ, I guess she (carol) was so fearful, she made the anouncement and wham, immediately gone. Had it all planned out in advance packed and gone..
I saw this posted some time ago and thought then, hmmm, not a good idea
You were outraged and it was very apparent as you spoke then of they knew who you were and you really spoke your mind. I know we are supposed to have freedom of speech but having said this it was like you did not care if someone came after you and now, well seems like that has happened. I am not saying it is right but sometimes good to keep thoughts to yourself, especially now since you have heard from the state. You said you are flattered. I would never been flattered to have someone sue me. Seems like you bit off more than you can chew.
That's strange. When I received an offer, I thought it was competitive and the benefits were good
especially medical insurance benefits for family. Maybe I did not look at them very close. Could you elaborate on what you were offered? I really thought they were decent pay and benefits.
Hourly?? Where does one get an hourly editing job?
I'm at 5 for VR/8.5 for straight typing.  I know we aren't to mention names, but I'm curious how hourly VR jobs are located.
Good advice, and advice that I'm giving real thought to ...

If I had known that they offshored before I accepted employment with them I never would have gone there to work.  I've been here long enough now though to not want to lose my benefits.

Still ... making a DECENT PAYCHECK and making a living without being stressed out over the type of work that I'm doing is just as important as good benefits.

I thought no news is good news, too. Then got email about
p
I actually thought of that. I even thought of trying to go back to MQ part-time!! (sm)
I just wonder about hours at a second company.  I work days (and some nights) with this company.  I have a set schedule but with the no work situtation I've been on the computer at all hours of the day and night.  Right now I have no work, so I would love to jump on at a company #2 and start working.  Do you have to have set hours at your company #2?  Thanks for the suggestion.
Hear, hear! Read My Opinion's opinion.
Regarding Wondering's question, the company I work for is investing strongly in upgrading its MTs' and editors' skill levels (exactly what this says about need for us for ten years down the road I can't say). This morning I found an e-mail saying they would pay every one of us to attend an on-line class on making Expander macros to increase our productivity. Amazingly, I have to assume many employees were choosing not to attend the unpaid ones they had been offering...
The best co. ever! Good work, good people, good pay, good bennies.
x
not that...only hourly, no less than $14

What about QA? Looks like they pay hourly. nm
nm
I used to be hourly
Until Western Montana Clinic outsourced to TTS, then it went to line. I do think editing should be above 4 cpl though.
yes, hourly.......
I really had to look for it, and it is at home, to boot.
Yes! But not hourly...
Production pays VERY well when straight through the hospital. No muss, no fuss, if you know what I mean.
Hourly?
Yes I agree QA should be hourly pay. I am still wondering if QA is a step up as far as pay is concerned. I assume it would pay more on average, as you need to be proficient in all specialities/work types as well as having extensive experience with ESLs, difficult dictators, etc.
Do they pay hourly for QA?
Is this the company that requires you to pay for something before you can start? If so, what is it that you have to pay for and how much is it?

Hourly QA
Medquist and Sten-Tel do.
Hourly pay
So, if you work a 4-hour shift, do you get paid $15.00 an hour regardless of the amount of work available?  If not, then how do they determine how many hours you worked?
Do they pay QA hourly there?

Hourly...
I, too, make $25-$30 an hour. I have a treo of neurologists and do law enforcement & parole board hearings... I think the key is getting away from the MTSO's and getting private practice accounts...
Not hourly
They pay 0.05 a line - no hourly wage - if you ask Matt in HR, he will tell you that what you read online about the free books, the free foot pedal, sign on bonus and hourly wage - it was all a typo.
VR pay- HOURLY
HOURLY. At a hospital that gives a rip about dedicated, quality oriented MTs, with numerous documented templates and has the best Dictaphone has developed.
Hourly Pay
It is all true, I used to work for them.  Weekly check, hourly pay, not a problem and always on time.
Its an hourly job
that is posted, not a cpl job. Apparenlty, Premiere Office Solutions has mostly hourly positions.
Hourly pay rate

I have been working for Transolutions since March, and so far I'm very happy with them.  They pay $10 for training (7 hours a day for 4 days the first week, if I remember correctly) and your first month you make $10/hour while you get used to your account.  You can also get extensions to that time period, as long as you continue making progress.  Once your evaluation period is over, your pay is based on production levels - from 150 up to 225 per hour, with the pay per line increasing as you go up - I think it work out to around $19/hour at the top level.  They also have bonuses, weekend differentials, and paid time off even for part-timers like me.

Hope that helps!

Transcend hourly

What is the hourly rate, and is it more profitable for the average MT than per line?  What determines who works at the hourly rate and who works per line?  Can you choose?  Thank you for any info.
