This can happen to anyone and in fact the statistics prove that right now you are not alone! Keep in mind that the bank does not want your house back. They would rather work something out with you.

Maybe the only reason you got turned down was because the new company didn't think they could match your current line rate, or perhaps they were afraid they wouldn't be #1 on your priority list since you are working 2 other jobs.

just go poof! out of your queue whenever it looks like a halfway doable one - and replaced STAT (think we won't notice) with a piece of s---.  So tired of getting one piece of crap after another, while they get to pick & choose the best ON TOP OF THEIR HOURLY/WEEKLY SALARY!  And we're stuck with 99% ESLs or other garbage.  You KNOW mgmt. won't do anything.  I confronted ONE lead & was rudely told, What difference does it make? You haven't even started on it!  It makes a LOT of  ------g difference when they're literally taking food off of our tables.  And they have the power to do this -- even at the Q, we got routed 1 job at a time automatically -- if an MT was free, he/she got the next job that popped up, and if that job were to be rejected, we had to add a note as to reason.  That's the only fair way to do it -- work should flow naturally - not a few selected holier-than-thou beeches selecting work THEY want to do and leave the manure for us to figure out.  This would NOT be tolerated in an in-house/hospital job, not matter who did it.  But we all know it's going to continue w/o support from mgmt.

That is why there is an incentive.  The manual for pay STATES by the 5th and by the 20th.  LAST 3 TIMES NOT.  Obviously, you got paid on time.  Do not know who you know but no one else was paid on time.   Try and get an answer why not TOO.  Good luck seeing the incentive.  You are dreaming.

Overnight mail
I don't believe the $25 is for overnight - I did it once and I believe I was told within 3 days which was not worth the $25 charge. I live in Florida; am told they actually mail checks out on Thursday, almost without fail have mine with Monday's mail
If they are mailing overnight, then they are using
a service such as Fed-Ex, UPS, etc., or maybe even the postal service. Not cheap by any means.
Has anyone ever noticed from Amherst MQ there seems to be work in the account and then suddenly
it just strangely disappears. Any clue where it goes.

Overnight with USPS is like 17. UPS gets it there by 1030.

if Cbay has any say in it, I would bet money that they slowly start sending more and more over to India. That's what they did with Cbay, until eventually they finally laid off all US MTs and editors.

Accounts that were on OT for a couple of weeks now have single-digit jobs pending, not all, obviously, but most.

I was speaking with someone about becoming an IC with Futurenet Technologies.  They told me if I wanted my paycheck mailed overnight it would cost $25.  Why so much? Normally to mail something overnight is only like $5 or so.  Why $25?  Are they making a profit off of this?  Could someone explain?
Paycheck mailed overnight and cost
You have the choice of having you check mailed, which would take a few days or delivered overnight either via UPS or by DHL for a cost of $25. They do not utilize regular postal express mail so you can go with either of those choices.

No DD offered in July ག, wanted $25 each check to overnight it.

Never offered Direct Deposit, only an agreement to pay $25 per check for overnight deposit.  No work or low work through training, try to find someone to set you up with reports to type 1-3 jobs at a time, this could last for months.  Lots of ESLs as I have said before.  I only have experience with one account with 3 hospitals that still used WP5.1, and two accounts that were done in Word. All of these five hospitals had ESLs who slurred, rushed, mumbled, plenty of background noise on the unit while Doc was dictating, drowning him out.  QA read every report and seemed to have no problem filling in blanks, but very rarely sent copies so I could try to make out what the Doc might be saying.  Some people who answered phones on weekends and should have been able to get tech to help, or get someone in QA to help, were rather touchy and crabby, and quick to tattle to management if you weren't sweet after 4 hours of computer hell.  If they put an old outdated program on your machine, and your machine won't run with it like they say it should, they seem amazed.  Nobody is really able to help with the WP5.1 program, they're all waiting for the accounts to convert. They like to say it's a family, but to me it was a rather dysfunctional family at that.  


In summary, the two hospital accounts that were done in Word I found impossible to understand the doctors, couldn't make enough lines to pay my bills.  When I asked to try another account, I was given the WP5.1 work, basically the same story, awful dictators, PLUS big problems with the platform. 


Everybody in Work Flow and QA were friendly and kind and supportive.  Jim Pinkerton in Tech is very easy to work with but he has a lot on his plate and can't get to everybody's problems.  The other guys in Tech like I said just couldn't help with the WP5.1 platform.  Harder to get help on the weekend from any aspect, even though a weekend day is required. 


If you are looking for a great job they are out there, I finally did find one that I hope to be with for many years.  Keep your eye out on the Job Seeker's board here, and on MTJobs.com   Don't assume anything, have a list of questions ready when you talk to the recruiter.  And try not to take the first line rate offered, if you're not convinced it is enough for you.  You really can't negotiate it after you accept the job, you have to do it before you agree.

My brain would look like an overdone fried egg if I do do VR for more than one day. At least when we do straight-typing MT, we're creating something - a medical document. VR is just robot-work, and adds to the concept that that's all we are, as well. Nonhuman, dispensible robots.

You said it's not TT..but the name does start with a T doesnt it. This sounds way too familiar.
And personally, I have about had it. They want you to submit your schedule but you never get to work it due to lack of work on your accounts so you have to bounce around, log off, come back later, etc.. It's funny how there's no work during the week but come the weekend when no one wants to work, then you can find some work if you want to work every weekend ....no thanks

The reality is changing jobs doesn't necessarily create a better situation.  There are new insurance deductibles to be met, learning curve and lost wages due to that, and then once you get settled in, the company may go a completely different direction.  These companies are rapidly making changes as technology advances.  Just because a company is currently paying 70% for VR doesn't mean that is what they will be doing tomorrow.  Changing jobs is often a pain in the rear.  I'm not jumping around anymore.  I'm tired of it.  It is stressful, and I have come to realize when you change jobs, you are just shifting problems around.  My last job, I could not tolerate the crazy QA audits that demoralized and were a constant source of stress, mandatory OT, and just being nitpicked to death over senseless stuff.  At least at TT I am not stressed in that way.  I'll give them some time to figure things out.  I don't think paying people half for VR is the answer, at least not in the system I work on (I have heard it is better on the other platform they use).  I think they will come to realize this. They may have newbies lining up at the door to do VR for half pay, but that will bite them in the butt if that happens because the quality will drop.  I have many, many years experience.  I should be paid for my brain and paid well if they want their reports to reflect any kind of quality.  I think TT will find balance eventually ... at least I am hoping. For now I am staying put.

Oh my gosh.. Do they realize they outsourced to someone who doesnt pay her employees, thus she cant
them apparently. How sad is that? I know when I worked for our local regional medical center here they had MQ do their outsourcing but the worst was when the hospital did not renew MQ's contract but they failed to tell their employees. They knew months in advance the date their contract ended but still didnt bothering telling the employees who kept trying to dial into the hospital's system only to find out their passwords didnt work anymore. I thought that was kind of bad on their part. I have never had any contact with MQ and did not know about them up to that point but that sounds pretty low to me and about par for these online companies. I am about burned out on the whole thing. So, is it possible that your local hospital is not renewing their contract with TTS?

did you transfer from Foxboro. I wont stay there if they take me off my accounts. How is the quality with putting people on all these accounts. It is my understanding all the NE offices will be working out of Amherst fairly soon. What a fiasco that sounds like it will be. How long do you think this will last until all the good MTs move on if that office contines to do that.

There is no working out the bugs on bad sound. If it doesnt work you move on. My
accounts have problems but I put up with it, some people will, some wont.

Bummed!!! Apparently the MDI-FL side doesnt get incentives. It seems like the benefits/incentives
would apply to everyone. Oh well, wouldnt be the first time.
