It says listen to the instructions carefully, but I'm having a hard time finding those instructions?  Anyone else having this problem?

Position with Larry and Eileen
Yes, I was having trouble.  The directions are not clear as to which files to click to complete the test, etc.  I called and had it explained to me.  But the pay is $1.00 per page, which won't work for me.  Good luck.  Let me know how it turns out.
i would like to know also, i just applied for a position with them. thanks

MDI has a position I applied for. What can you tell me?

Does MDI carry heavy ESL?  Are they management heavy?  Are some MTs ecstatically happy while others consider putting their heads in the over (unfair distribution of work)?

Hate to take a job I will end up quitting in three months.  This is PT so I want to enjoy it along with my somewhat difficult FT job.

Mucho gracias!!!

I think I applied for the same position.
I am not sure about this HIPPO thing either, but the work doesn't sound like it will be too fruitful to warrant purchasing anything. I was going to tell the IC that if she wants me to work for her, than she should pay for the HIPPO because I will only be using it for her account. But, I did the test, and now she is MIA!!!
I applied for an onc MT position and rec'd an e-mail
without the attachment to transcribe.  I wrote the person back but have never heard from them again.  I am really disappointed because I have 10 years experience and really wanted to test/work for them!
I applied too and was offered a position...
I really think their accounts would be a great fit and also my feel for the atmosphere at this company, but I'd have to start out at a rock-bottom rate, so I'm passing it up.  I may be sorry, but I'm just not going to stoop to that low a rate even if it does increase rapidly.  I'd still be losing out on money I could have made someplace else.
Has anyone applied for the Documed position?
For the love of pete, I can't open the files to test.  I tried to open them up with GearPlayer, Express Scribe and Windows Media Player.  I get a message that the files are corrupt.  I even tried to convert them, but no such luck.
I used to work for Eileen
It's a legitimate company, but I was fired (just never heard back after I had done a few jobs for her) and it was really no loss to me. Truthfully I can't even remember the name of the company anymore.
chiropractic reports
My chiropractor is interested in having me transcribe reports for her. If they are just clinic visits, would 15 cpl be too much to charge? She is in a major city in MA and would be dictating on a handheld digital recorder and sending me files on the computer...

Any thoughts? Thanks!
I have a chiropractic account and charge
0.13 a gross line.  Most of the lines are long though.  They have been happy with this arrangement for years now. They also went digital for me.  Love it!
EMTS Chiropractic MT? Anyone test?
Has anyone tested for the clinic job available right now for the chiropractic MT position?  Also what is anyone's experience with EMTS?  Their voice files are very horrible - wondering if that is normal.  Thanks.
chiropractic MT is bottom of the barrel for pay in my experience

Why would they? Larry isn't going to come here...
...to make company policy public, nor would anyone who cares about their future in management. This board is here for rumor, suggetion, help, support, and conjecture.

However, you might have some luck researching on the internet for an announcement, as they are a publically traded company (try TRCR, as that is their stock moniker). However, I was told quite a while ago what was happening pretty much from the horse's mouth, so it's true.

Another bell tolls for the demise of an all-American company.
Larry King? - LOL - let's think of more -
nm
Larry? Sue? Liz? Dorothy? Is that you? nm
x
You should send your note to Larry...

I would copy it and send it for you. I have only been working for Transcend for 1-1/2 months. The management seems great as well as the non-VR platform, it's easy to use, works very well. Man, why change a good thing? I've been trained on the new platform but have not started on it yet. VERY scared. I hope it works out as I don't want to have to look for a new job right away. I'm also working for a local clinic as an IC, part-time and have another opportunity for the clinic I just left to be a back-up person, probably IC as well. BUT, that won't be enough to pay the bills either.

I think part of the problem with these national companies is that they do look at their MTs as machines. They don't see faces behind the names, just numbers, $$ signs and the like. It is a very strange thing, having this cyber job and not meeting anyone face to face. Maybe if we all emailed Larry with our picture, pictures of our families, he would get the clue to let well-enough alone.

ya, dat daer Larry is sumptin else..
LOL!
Larry just said that Transcend does offshore.
X
Larry Gerdes CEO of Transcend is aging just like the rest of us!
LOL!!
Larry doesn't know if he's coming or going! One day a mass email to employees begging them to
even though no work, and the next day mass email begging people to hire anybody they can scrape up and now accounts out of TAT, etc.  Different story every day of the week, and I don't wanna hear about the company perils!  Just let me type! No thanks.
The DQS is an IC position and the Dictaphone EXtext is an employee position....
both part time...both making 9.5 cents per line...which is better IC or employee?
Thanks :)
Can I asked when you applied? I applied a few weeks ago
and never heard a word and I have over 16 years of experience. I applied because I got a recommendation from a friend of a friend who loves working there..Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anymore details other than that.  I'm all for even one positive at this point on this frustrating job search. Good luck to you though and check back with us to tell us how the interview went etc. Thanks
I'm hoping too as I accepted position a position also nm

No. I applied, but I've applied SM

at a lot of places lately.  I got an e-mail from a lady whose name starts with an M, but she didn't identify her company in the letter.  She had my resume on the bottom of her e-mail, so I know it's someone I applied with, but I don't know which one!!  LOL  I'm thinking it's The Word Pros.  Anyone else apply to The Word Pros and get an e-mail from M?

I'd love to hear information about them as well.

Just Me

Is the AC a salaried position or hourly? If the position is salaried, there is
no such thing as overtime, at least not at any places I've worked. I've been in salaried positions before and you work until the job is done or delegate it to someone you know will get it done. Only hourly employees are subject to OT pay.
HUH? I just applied with them.

Thank you to all who applied.
Great responses and experiences. Thanks.:)
Thank you! I have applied but sm
haven't heard anything yet. Just curious.
Is that why you applied?

just applied
Good luck to you.  The test was easy.  I did 100%.
Just applied also and took
the tests.  Hopefully this a good company.  Still waiting to hear from Keystrokes.....  For being desperate to find transcriptionists for their radiology accounts, they sure take a long time getting back to you!
No, I actually just applied there myself. nm

Anyone applied to JLG? Ad says they need 100 MTs. (sm)

I have to assume they are growing big time to need this many MTs added to their work force.

I can't find any recent info on this company.  Any help appreciated.

Applied
I agree, there's nothing to lose. I already applied. As well as being an MT I also do insurance claims typing and it really isn't that hard. You just have to be able to type verbatim including um's and ah's. I get paid by the page now so to me it seems the pay may be actually better than what I'm getting now.
Anyone else applied to JLG? (sm)
Was told there were some changes and they would call and talk to me before the official offer letter was sent.  The lady I interviewed/tested with was very pleasant and I am guessing very busy.  Anyone else have input?   I know I can't be the only one who applied.
Actually, I had never applied to them...
or even heard of them before I received the e-mail, and I have been happily employed for 6 years for the same company, so it is a mystery.
When I applied with TRS the -
recruiter couldn't even explain how pay rate was determined.  He told me is personal life story, which I thought was very unprofessional.  I found a job elsewhere.
I just applied
I just applied there myself.  Do you know if the insurance is affordable there?  They sound like they have good benefits from looking at their website.
I applied too
I haven't heard back and at first thought the pay was low.  Then after I read the description of the work, it sounded too easy to get paid much more than that.  Let me know if you hear back from them.. Thanks.
I must have applied to at least 20 of
the wrong companies as well - looked for about 6 months - IC or employee - didn't matter - 25+ years experience MTing and 5 QA, and best offer was about 8.75 cents...with huge daily requirements to hit that mark - one offer for IC at 10 cents which never materialized - company folded. Lots of 7 to 8 cents per line offers - several 6 cents per line - needless to say, I stayed with my day job! To me, the 10 cpl and 11 cpl offers are like unicorns - I have looked and looked, but never found one and am definitely thinking they are mythical.
I applied....
for the pathology position.  Never heard a word!  I have 12 years pathology experience, so I know it wasn't because of lack of experience!
When I applied
They wanted this ridiculous itemization of where I worked as an IC over the past few years. Hello?

When I run into that type of red tape, I 'run'. (Because it's a sign of how they 'might' be if you were worked with them).

I don't have a problem providing a resume, and testing, but that was not enough to move the process along.
I have applied to several
I have usually always heard back.  But I don't go by the job seekers board and found out who  is advertizing for employment   I just read the company board and apply to the company I find has the better reviews.   It just seems to me that they are all always hiring.
I just applied also!
I have never heard of this company, but orthopedics is my favorite specialit7. Sounds like a new company to me.
I Applied
I applied with them over a week ago and never got any response. I have 7 years of MT experience which included dermatology, so I'm not sure why I never heard anything.
Have you applied?
Hi Little Bear,

Thank you. Believe me, I am thanking my lucky stars in heaven for this one. I needed the benefits so badly and they just seemed like a wonderful place to work. I will definitely let you know how it turns out. Have you applied there?

I got one too and just applied! sm
They said the list was from AHDI.
I just applied
and missed 2 on the test.  I do not know if that is good or bad.
Anyone who applied
for the jobs posted recently by p.r.n. Transcription or Phoenix Medcom heard back from them yet?  I applied the same day they posted the jobs, but have not heard back and yet I am a very well-qualified transcriptionist.
I applied but don't know anything either

We must have applied for the same job.
