I do not think $14 is acceptable--no. She has not

done QA. I know many who cannot make $10 doing line rate QA but I have never done it. I know that most QA do an average of between 2500 and 3500 a day so line rate would not pay a ton of money per hour. Most QA I know do 100% QA though.

I wouldn't work for $14 but she said she was breaking in and it sure beats that 1.5 cents that one co was paying, which NO ONE SHOULD ACCEPT

if SE is acceptable, try MDI.

This is not acceptable to me
That you must check and double check to make sure your lines aren't obliterated by an intentional or unintentional computer glitch. That takes time you could better spend producing reports. I don't trust these big nationals and will find other work before I submit.
I'm sorry - 1.10 per radiology is not acceptable. sm
Actually - in radiology the reports run very short AND very long - per line is the only fair way that balances out daily no matter what you get, a mix vs all short vs all lone reports. per report does not - you have good days and bad and then the week stinks.

my experience

What is an acceptable pay for IC work?

I have been thinking about doing some IC on the side, but can't believe what these companies are offering.  There are all offering less per line than my employee job, which offers benefits, PTO, and holds out my taxes.  I am thinking a good IC position for acute care should at least offer 10 to 11 cpl, right? or am i just dreaming?

Line rate is not acceptable
but 14 an hour is acceptable? I've got news for you, at a line rate you'd likely make more than 14 an hour. What a joke. :(
TransTech is Satellite acceptable? nm

definition of decent: Acceptable standards
making $50,000 a year as an MT is beyond decent, it is really great, but realistically a decent living would be less, which is what the poster asked, as the definition of decent is to have acceptable standards.
Oops...meant to say "not acceptable"
:}
yes, but obviously if she thought 500-odd lines was acceptable in the beginning there was a problem

No, wrong again, it is in modern times perfectly acceptable to
start a sentence with 'But' and even with 'And,' especially when putting emphasis on a statement.
so, keeping in mind that decent means acceptable standard,
