What Typingperson wrote was flat-out fact. I find your comments odd (and make me wonder if you even
are a MT). Typingperson owes no secrecy to the basic facts, nor should be shamed into censorship for an honest assessment.

I also took notes and they are similar. I, too, am going to type along on a wing and a prayer, at least for awhile, though I'm very torn. I do expect a mass exodus of DRC MTs very quickly; actually, I am certain of it. There was not a lot convincing them to stay; quite the opposite. A VERY small percentage of time was spent talking to MTs about, well, MTs. I heard little commitment or even recognition that it is the MTs that are the very core that makes it happen. I remember thinking the word peon a few times in regards to us. I left the meeting feeling like I'd been at an executive's meeting with someone who was boisterous about trying to sell me a company, or instructing how he'd like for me to be the commodity to help that company make the execs wealthy. Just a first impression and I may well be wrong. I thought this board was here for us to discuss MT concerns, and this is a big and frightening concern to a lot of people right now.

It may work, it may not. But we all know the history of this kind of take-over/merger in this business, so it is not TAINTED to look at it closely, not quite trust it or to discuss it without rose-colored glasses.

My take on Typingperson's note is she is going to give it a shot, but is going in with her eyes wide open. It's not wise to suggest running off the MTs of this company right now. Many already have a foot out the door. A slight nudge will send the ones who have decided to give it a try right over the threshold.
