I recently hired on and was told they were kind of getting away from 12 hour (sm)

but that a lot of that depended on the account you were hired for.

Recently hired on and was told those of us coming on now (sm)
were eligible to participate immediately in the 401. As far as the matching, their ad states discretionary so I assume it is dependent upon profit margin or something. At least they are up front about it and not telling you they match and then say, Oops, no more like MQ did.
I recently applied, what kind of

problems were they having?

Hired recently for 0.825 cpl.
:)
Recently hired (sm)
They were slow with me too, but I just kept calling every day and letting them know I had to work - Becky is the best person - She will always answer your emails and get things done. she did for me! They are great but you have to be proactive and it works! Good Luck! I'm completely content.....Hope this helps!!
I'm a recently hired IC for MDI
nm
was you recently hired?

How long ago did you work for them?  My friend was very recent....

They have recently hired several, don't know
for sure if they are still hiring, but best way to apply is through their website.  The recruiters and supervisors do not work in the office, but in their homes.  The fax is probably in CA, so faxing the resume may not get you a response.
I was recently hired and did not test.
nm
Were you recently hired for a new account? If so (sm)
wouldn't it be easier for you to ask them at the office if the acct has started, if not when, if it has, ask for a backup.  Coming here and complaining does no good.
Just recently hired, and so far I Love it...
e-mail me with specific questions if you want...but I have  no complaints thus far.
Well, crap. I was just recently hired

by DSG and have heard only good things from folks nice enough to answer my posts on here.

I'm quitting my full-time job (with a steady paycheck) to work from home with DSG. Gosh, I hope and pray that I make enough money!!! I committed to 1000 lpd and will be IC status Monday when I start.

HELP!! Now I'm scared!! Good luck to you, though.

This is scary, I was recently hired :( nm

I was hired recently & they did not have enough work to train me.
I had never heard of such a thing before.
Don't bother. I was recently hired and hate it.
is correct in saying that they are not honest.  Wish I was aware of that before taking this job.  Guess I'll just keep checking the job postings.  Should have listened to my daughter she tried to warn me.
As recently as last week, I was told that there were
never employee positions at MDI-MD, strictly IC only. Are you sure you have the right company? I have many friends who work there as well, and all are IC and wish they had employee status. Very confused here.
Yikes! Webmedx recently told me they don't have
...the capability for VR.  Is this something new?
My contract (was just recently hired for a new acct coming on) does not list any benefits for part-t
It only gives the requirements (as stated in my previous post) for full-time status for benefits. If they used to offer benefits, they are not offering them to new hires, at least that is my impression.
Was told recently that they do 70% clinic notes and 30% acute care, very few Ops. Don't know

I have 12- hour window and was hired 1 year ago. nm

They told you they were looking for 3rd shift and hired someone for that sm
so you don't trust them? That doesn't make any sense.
After I was told I was hired by someone advertising
on the company board here - I provided my DL#, SSN and never heard back from her - since she said up front a background investigation would need to be done down the line and with the type of work I was to do - I understood - but never again.  Unless it is a very reputable company with a lot of info about them out there - I will never provide again - way too scarey.
Debbie told me when she hired me
that she is more interested in the total line count than the hours. Pam I Yam and the other poster is correct - just put your regular shift instead of all the signing in and out stuff. The time card needs to show 40 hours but how many people take bathroom breaks and actually eat during the day? It's not a big deal!!!!! Put your regular shift in.
Yeah, that's what they told me when I was hired...

they were hiring all American QA and leads and that they were making a transition to bring work back on shore.  Six months later, I was fired along with a bunch of other people.

Like I said, THEY LIE!

Right before I hired on, they finally told me that..sm
they couldn't offer the health insurance that is stated on their website. Also, they don't pay for holidays - lines only. Platform definitely not a productive one! I turned down their offer quickly.
This week I was told $11.25 an hour

I'd be editing VR all day though as she sends her standard transcription off to some MTSO.  I forgot to ask which.  Those wages are not bad really for this part, but nothing to scream about.  I was making $14 an hour at the in-house hospital job and the peak there was $17.50.   The bens are wonderful, $150 for family and that includes dental, vision.  We also get a 401k.

But just from the interview, we only get yearly raises.  She doesn't do merit increases.  There are no quarterly QA audits.  Her standards are low, 1100 lines per day for editing.  She told me I was at the top of her list to hire but she is still interviewing.  I took it as she was looking for someone who would work cheaper.

I hired on a month ago and was told there was no choice sm

but to use their computer.  I do not object to the deposit, and, like you, I think it is reasonable since they are supplying their equipment to a stranger.  I would MUCH prefer to use my computer to the computer they sent me.

As far as WMX being the best company ever, your experience must be better than mine.  So far, I have experienced an account with VERY poor sound quality, running out of work during my scheduled time, requests for a secondary account ignored, and emails ignored by the team manager.  Fortunately, I am only working part-time, so it is just a minor irritation while I look for something else.

Everyone's experience with a company is unique, and I am glad that yours is a positive one.  Sorry that I cannot say the same.

Was asked when hired, told them I wanted M-F...
and fortunately for me, they had M-F accounts that were a good fit for me. I've only been there 2 months but feel like I've landed in a good spot!
I hired on about 3 months ago and was told then Monday a.m. (sm)
might be sketchy at times due to so many people scheduling themselves day shift. I don't mind really, I came from Medquist and now when I run out of work and have to flex my time it is on my schedule. I don't have to schedule a time to make up work, i.e. Friday thru Sunday and MQ wanted me pinned down as to EXACT hours I would be on working.

The accounts I am on are smaller than I am used to (both under 500 beds) but they seem to keep me in work most of the time. Smaller accounts and overflow accounts can be a killer though.

Good luck. Hope it gets better for you today. I am still in the honeymoon phase but I really love it here.
When I was hired I was told the 15th and 30th, but
handbook says 15th and last day of month. I sure was disappointed.
Superior Global-out of Plano, TX..anyone else apply recently, told they were hiring quickly and to
do the testing ASAP..only to do the testing ASAP and then hear nothing. Trust me, the testing WAS NOT hard so I can't believe I wouldn't have passed that part. I followed up with emails as to whether they received my tests back etc..but nothing. no response. I find that rude. Even a simple, Dear John, we aren't hiring you would have been polite than nothing at all..Unprofessional
Also I was told there is a 20 hour per week requirement (sm)
along with the 4,000 line. I have been an IC with this company since 1998 and just found this out about a week ago. Nothing in anything I actually signed, they were just "letting me know" to maintain my status this was the requirement.

As above, each office is different although I think they are trying to get more uniform across the board.
I received mine about an hour ago. They told me they are less than
1/5 of the way through the resumes and responses and it will take a few days to get through them. Call their office if you want to move to the front of the list.
I was told 6000 lines for 2 weeks when I hired
in as an SE 6 weeks ago.

Is this true? I was just hired and was told 24 hours for PTO...nothing about 401K..let me know!

I was hired for 3rd shift and was told there was plenty of work
i was given 4 accts and still don't make money - that is all i am saying
I just interviewed with them, they told me a 1-hour window flexibility.
.
Yep, Wally greeter here told me she started at $12 an hour.
nm
I wasn't hired for 1 work type, but told them I like OPs so that is what I am assigned. When I r
out of ops, I usually stop unless we are out of TAT on other jobs because I do not want to take other people's work. I do not think I should get paid less for that.
Hired by Cymed and told they did not pay for spaces, but paid for headers and footers. Just did a

check on the line count, and not only do they not pay for headers and footers, they also pay for 2 lines less than I typed.

I think it depends on experience, account hired for, etc. I was hired at .08 per line sm
but after 90 days went to 0.085 and then 0.09 about 90 days after that. I am now at 0.0925 and have been there a year. I have to point out that the line rate might not be the highest but I can verify my counts, have plenty of work, get paid on time and have a great manager. To me, leaving a bad national and the headaches that went with it was well worth the cut in pay I took. Funny thing is that I took a pretty sizable pay cut but make more money ?!?!
think, people! If she does 250 lines/hour, same docs daily, will make $15/hour
nm
100,000/year - no way. I charge $35/hour and work 10 hour days - sm
AND I DO NOT CLEAR $100,000/YEAR.

what's not to believe - I said that I charge $35/hour and work 10 hour days AND DO NOT MAKE - sm
I DO NOT MAKE $100,000/YEAR

try READING the post.
$35/hour x five 10-hour days = $1,750 gross/week.

$20 an hour is not even average for radiology. You should not make less than $25-30 per hour. sm
I work for Keystrokes and have for 3 years. I average 25 reports an hour, which is $31.25 an hour. I have 401, health insurance, direct deposit, life insurance. My lead tells me I'm wonderful when I talk to her, but I do not need a daily pat on the back.

I also have a good friend who works for them on a clinic. She only makes 0.08 per line but does 300 lines an hour, which is $24 an hour, again higher than your $20.

I don't think we're selling ourselves short. There are companies out there that are good to work for, 6 or 8 of them that I know of personally. Don't settle for $20 an hour.
I don't hesitate to ask. Have been told "yes", and have been told "no." Never been to
:+
Well if I could do 500 lines per hour, I would be making 35.00 an hour. sm
nothing to sneeze at. More than fair for having a 2-year degree. Come on people, we are all acting like we expect 6-digit incomes! Whatev!
I said "about to be" hired... not yet hired, and ........
considering it just like I would consider any job.... I didn't accept the job yet and wanted to check out the info out there.
If that's $9.50 an hour, that would be just under 6.5 cpl at 150 lines an hour. nm
s
Are there any QAs out there that are getting paid by the hour at 15+/hour? If so, where are you and
how are the work conditions/requirements/benefits,etc?
For example, I count every hour on the hour with my job
and while I was posting here and also checking email in between I averaged $22 an hour for 2 hours, not bad for someone who is a) slow or b) does not have a lot of time in transcription work; therefore making me a prime candidate for VR.
