I started there at the beginning of this year, and..
have had no problems whatsoever. Never had to call even once about a late paycheck. I have the schedule that they gave me sitting in front of me right now. It gives all of the pay periods through 12/31/05, and the exact date that the check will be deposited in the bank. It has never been late; always on time. You can even go online a few days before your scheduled deposit, and see the amount that is going to be deposited on pay day. Are you sure she worked for the same company?
Do you think maybe that is why they are starting this plan in the beginning of the year. That may
indicate change in type of employee. We shall see. Dont know why I think things point to no SE anymore just a gut feeling. There has been talk off and on about a merger with MQ and Spheris so I just connected the whole thing as MQ seems to be moving closer to how Spheris operates all the time. Seems that way to me anyhow.
I remember those posts
I just don't remember anyone saying that they were going to leave MDI rather than do the VR, or at least try it first.
I remember those posts too
And if memory serves me correctly, it was a pretty lengthy and detailed discussion about how the only work/accounts TT had were the ones spoon-fed to them by Dictaphone.

If memory serves me correctly, this discussion was presented as a factual account of how things operate at TT, rather than a personal opinion or a personal observation...

As adults we all should realize that when we allow our suppositions and personal theory to be presented as cold-hard fact, that changes a post from being protected by freedom of speech to grounds for a libel suit, which is precisely what has happened in this case.

I didn't have to test and I can't remember if they
called the same day or the next day.
I remember one co I worked for that paid weekly
and on that first paycheck from Monday to Friday, the check was in the bank. We were paid by the hour though and worked in-house (a service). They gave you the benefit of the doubt with the 40-hr week and I guess if anything had happened during the week, they would adjust it out the next.

I also worked for another MT service as a remote employee that paid weekly. The pay period would end I think on Sunday and the money was in the bank on Friday so you just had a 4-day wait.

I love weekly pay. Makes the week just fly by! That also requires a very very organized payroll dept and the service has to have enough backup money in the bank, which is smart for any company.

I wish all companies paid like that! LOL

Those weeks would just fly by if they did.

Remember QA is paid to find fault..sm
I've been there and they can be maddening.  On top of the nitpicking, if you get more than 1 QA person, they'll be contradicting each other.  Do one thing, #1 corrects it, so you do it her way.  Along comes #2, and you did it wrong, so you do it #2's way.  Don't take it personally and remember THEY'RE PAID TO FIND FAULT WITH YOUR WORK.  You know that you know your stuff.  If it gets to be too much of a hindrance, I would contact management to let them hear YOUR side of the story; wouldn't count on it, though.  In addition, a lot of the QAs get so uppity in their holier-than-thou attitude, some downright rude.  Good luck.
REMEMBER-QA IS PAID TO FIND FAULT...SM
15 months??  I would think about 2 weeks should be enough, maybe a bit more if learning a difficult account.  (I was on a difficult Oncology account for about 4-5 weeks but that was because the supervisor doubled as the only QA person).  But your case is extreme and just another example of MT abuse by management.  I would contact my supervisor and give them an ultimatum...you have every right, long overdue.  Do you know how this QA is taking food off of your table and how much time she has literally stolen from you???  You could be doing your PAID work instead of the constant, inconsistent feedback back & forth with these egomaniacs, who really need to get off of their high horse.
old posts from last year...
are not to pleasing, though. Can anyone verify the pay, management, etc?
I was there last year & got paid right from the very 1st pay day, by
d
plenty of posts from this year.sm
yes, run out of work sometimes, but mostly have more than enough. Very flexible. Pay always on time. MTs treated just fine.
I didn't see any posts about VR --

I just perused over the page and I recall the day that thread was posted, as I was concerned about that email, too, but nothing in that thread stated that MDI was going to VR or in the email, unless I missed something.

Did your account go to VR and how were you notified?  I'd definitely like to know ahead of time what's going on.  I worked for MQ for too long with my head in the sand, don't let me sink now!

I paid both self-employment tax AND SS last year. sm
I don't think they're the same. With SE tax, I think the feds assure themselves that they get enough money out of us. Social Security is allegedly tucked away for our old age.
Might have to use THEIR puter, 1200 lpd. Posts from last year say pay is very low. nm
s
See the string of posts below. Been there almost a year and really love it.
They are hiring like crazy now because they have several new accounts coming on, so I would go ahead and apply. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I can only find negative posts about them from last year. nm

I read some posts a year or so back (sm)
that it was a husband/wife operation - that the wife was super nice and very easy to work for - no comment positive or negative on the husband that I can recall - that they usually always got paid on time but there was that little bit about being paid when client paid - which is a little scary - I'm of the firm belief that a company - large or small - should have enough cash flow to pay their people - that is running a little too close to the edge for me - but if it is a good company and great platform, good docs - I might try them someday.
Sorry, I didn't see the earlier posts at first.
It just shook me up with GP's original post, because I like GP.
I was offered 8 cpl last year, experienced. Didn't take it. nm
s
Heck, no, lol. Didja read my posts. Taken 2 year to
how I actually DO my work.  Just cause this is my fit doesnt mean it would fit you.  Jobs are not one size fits all.  And anyway, personally I think there are already too many on this acct.  But then, dont all of us feel that way about our accts, lol.
Job ad posts are free. We aren't being paid for them, so
because no money is being given. Administrator
The negative posts didn't scare me...
None of them compare to what I've gone through with other companies.  The good far outweighs the bad.
You only get 3 holidays OFF per year. PTO is paid at a very low rate. There is 401k...sm

But the company match is only up to 2%. Employees are required to work at least 1 weekend day every week.

All of the hospitals/clinics have a lot of ESLs, that's just the way it is. But a lot of them also use canned normals, which we love.

There's a lot more to consider than how much the medical plan costs.

In the past year and half, I have always been paid on time. --nm

Been working for Cardioscribe for a year, never once did not get paid within one week of end of pay
Instead of complaining why don't you do, as I did, and just ask. The line counts are being finalized now and the bank deposit will be made tomorrow. As you mentioned, in past posts pay day is the 7th and 22nd, so start the complaining tomorrow if we do not get paid. I have worked here a year and never once did not get paid within 7 days of close of a pay period. That is pretty good compared to other places I have worked for that took 2 and 3 weeks to get paid for a period of time. For those of you that like to say nasty little things about Cardioscribe, quite often, please do us all a favor and find yourself another job and good luck to you. This will blow your mind I am sure, but I am not afraid to backup what I post with my name. Sheryl Cantrell. You are very welcome to contact me if you have questions and apparently do not know how to ask the right person to get answers. I know Tonya posted her name, email and phone number and none of you who seem so unhappy working here have contacted her. As I told her today, there is just some people that like to stir up trouble no matter where you work. If you can find a place that treats you with more respect, kindness, and never a problem getting paid, please go and be happy.
We're just makin more money every year, and you didn't know it. :) nm
nm
I think they did, but you didn't get paid for anything that autopopulated. They use ExText. nm
s
They paid 7 & 8 cpl before and didn't give raises. They were using
s
I didn't work on gov't account but not paid either
Five months and counting now. Lies told to me were, pay you when I get paid, pay you next week, pay you Saturday. Still no check though.
I didn't get paid, but work as been so low, my check won't be much anyway. :( nm

Posts from last year don't shed a positive light on them, no matter where
s
Have they changed their awful platform? Posts from last year said it was terrible! nm
s
I do not know anything about the company, but did read posts that they paid late. sm

The pay was decent, though, at 10 cpl, but it was 3rd shift every weekend, and I decided to pass just in case I ever decide to get a life.

Sounds like you had a bad experience -- sorry for that.  Hope wherever you are at now is better.

So interesting that you didn't address the offshoring posts. NM

Yep, on a keychain PLUS they paid me a fair wage the entire year. (nm)

NO paid holidays for us all year round. If there is any work on the holiday, you get

lines and a half, but usually there is no work.  They usually clear out the work before the holiday so there is no 1-1/2 line pay remaining.  Transtech names 6 holidays each year, but the MT takes those holidays off WITHOUT pay.    I am sure the office staff and all other non-MT staff take off WITHOUT pay, too, aren't you????   LOL

Which MT companies DO pay an MT for holidays.  I don't consider a day a HOLIDAY unless it is PAID.  They can call it 6 holdays, but have to take off without pay . . . . just another day, i.e, get sick -- NO PAY.

Old posts had people not getting paid money due them when they decided to leave. nm
s
Do they allow you an expansion program or Autocorrect usage? Old posts say they didn't. nm
s
Everyone IS paid by the line. I read your posts and feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
nm
I didn't take the posts as trashing the company, just people venting about no work. sm
I used to work for TT, and yes, they are wonderful people -- very caring and supportive -- but in order to get my lines in, I had to be VERY flexible, working on my days off, during times I wasn't scheduled, etc., and it gets old pretty quickly.  I personally didn't care for the e-mails calling me sweetie or telling me you rock, but that's just me.  I just want to be paid well and have plentiful work.  I do not know if they just overhire or what happens, but I finally left because I couldn't stand the feast or famine work flow there.
Webmedx has 6 paid holidays a year, separate from PTO, for full time employees.

This is the TTD lady for sure

Or someone who works with her.  No MT would be saying so what.

The Fat Lady Sang
Yes, but did she sing in harmony?
Thank you kind lady.
nm
some lady called...
sounded more like she was screening me. She asked if I had the required needed to work for them (cardiology/pulmonology), line count, high-speed, etc. I told her yes, and she said someone would call me in a few days--that was a few months ago.
You are way off base lady
I have worked with Holocaust survivors, have you? Ive worked cleaning their rooms taking people for walks, holding hands, listening to stories of horror and hope, shared art therapy moments, given hugs and support. Dont you dare judge me. You are way out of line, whoever you are. If you get nothing else from what I've written here, get this: No one wants to be labeled a victim. You have absolutely no right.

Peace.

She's a nice lady but there isn't
I spent most weekends on her stuff.  The pay was way low, but she doesn't charge much anyway.  She would dump on me Fri night... not sure why she keeps needing this same position, but that should tell you something.  She posts for this position every month or so...  I guess no one lasts....
You mean the lady named Pepper at OSI?
who knew!
Ur gettin' on my nerves, old lady!

When the lady sold her company to..sm
Execuscribe, it went downhill from there.  I was hired by them, went through ALL of the testing except the Psych thing.....and then I was told I would be paid 7 cpl and I had to purchase liability insurance.  CC....this Denise person must have been your "bestest" friend????
nice spelling lady
