Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm
nm
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
scribe platform problems
Anyone else finding Scribe's tech support to be lacking in timeliness?
Keystrokes using Scribe platform

Can anyone currently working for Keystrokes please tell me if you use the Scribe platform, what is Allscripts, and are you happy and able to make a good line count on a daily basis? Thanks very much.

Scribe is the platform and it is slooow
I worked for transportal to too long ago and if your getting on the account I just left then you will type forever and ever to get 800 lines.  They will assign you 80 to 100 minutes of work late at night then you have to get up early to type it in the TAT they want.  They will also tell you that those 80 to 100 minutes will typically give you 1200 lines but they do not.  The account I was on had good dictators but the Scribe platform was slow, very slow and I have DSL.  You had to click the job number, then click the voice file, then search demos, then search templates, and then you can type the report.  Oh yeah, not to mention the fact that Scribe does not give a line count.  Oh yeah you heard me.  You have no idea what your line count is at the end of the day and transportal will not tell you on a daily basis either.  I hope they have changed in the last few weeks since I was there but I doubt it.  By the way, I am not the only one who has left there in the past few weeks.
Precision Scribe Platform
Is it MT friendly ?  Thanks
The platform is Scribe. EASY to learn and use.
The line count is straight 65 characters with spaces and you can see your count which is important to me.

Today is supposed to be my day off. I needed to do a bunch of errands and catch up and do closets. So far, it's almost 10:30 and I have been on here all morning! I need to scoot!
Question about Keystrokes scribe platform

Is it transcription friendly and productive i.e. ease of getting lines, etc.

Thanks

Scribe platform line count

What are your line counts with the Scribe platform?  I'm only getting half of what I did with DocQscribe.

Scribe platform line count
I was told I got paid for all headers, footers and expansions, but so much has to be done manually, like open sound file, click to save, then click to close, then click to send, then click to send with note or without note, etc. With DocQscribe, so much was done automatically including downloading a file behind the one we were doing.
I work on the Scribe platform but there are many other platforms..
just depends on what account you get hired in for. On this particular account, you can look up old reports. We do have part-time employees but I believe they are slowly going away from part-time into full-time.
Scribe platform, how to see line counts? sm
Does anyone know how to get individual report line counts in Scribe platform?  I can see the lump sum, but I want to see individual report counts.
Do you type in Word?
If so, maybe I can help you. I have to pull in a template with all the doctors' names on the side and I cannot charge for that. After I type each letter, I highlight the text, then use the Word character count including spaces. I take this total and divide by 65. I also, unfortunately, have to generate a report for this client with each patient's name and the number of lines for each letter.

At any rate, that is what I do. I hope I was of some assistance to you.
do what I do - type in WP and then convert to Word - sm
All my "stuff" (and you know what I mean) is on WP and I didn't want to spend the $$ to get all new for Word ... so, I do all my typing in WP, do a basic WP spell check, then open the document in Word and save as a Word document for my final proofing. I know some other MTs just proof as they go, but I find a double WP spell check/Word final proof gives me pretty near 100% accuracy. The clients get what they want (Word, accuracy) and I get what I want - awesome production out of WP, even accounting for converting and proofing. Works for me!
You just type in Word. Very simple. nm

FutureNet MTs, do you type in Word or do they have their own SM
platform? Thanks
And I like how they say to keep Word open and type as they come in...sm
Like I am going to sit here for 8 hours and wait for one job an hour to come in and type it right away so it can meet the clients needs.  I understand it's slow today cuz of the holidays but sick of their emails telling us we need to be on when they are off and there isn't even work.

Anyone ever hear of this?  Any info on pay, staff, etc.  TIA!

Do you know any MTs who use Word for their platform?
nm
I've been with AccuSTAT WI for 7 years. We don't use VR. We used MS Word to type in and depe
on the accounts, Dictaphone C-phone, regular c-phone or Lanier VXP player.
Thanks. What platform do they use and is Word compatible?

How about straight Word platform at
Easy enough? Is Meditech anything like that? I've never used Meditech personally.
I don't think it's a platform. I think it is just typing in Word. nm
nm
Is that a Word-based platform?
I just applied for that position and they e-mailed me with some questions.
If you are working in a Word platform
and not some confabulated platform, then the autocorrect that is part of MS Word is more than adequate for macros and expanding words. That is all I have used for the last 10 years and do just fine. Save your money.
Word based platform
Are there any GOOD companiesthat work on a Word-based platform?
they run off a word-based platform
it's not very stream-lined and kinda klunky, but efficient enough.  I know they've made recent updates to make it run a little faster, but there were times when i would spent two to three minutes after filling out the screen waiting for my work screen to appear.

What type of platform is it?
I won't ask where you work, but do you use Meditech, Word, CTS, what?  I left my email if you don't want to answer here.  I've been seeking a better solution for myself with regard to platform because I'm really tired of spending so much time looking up patient demographics and doctors' addresses.  I could actually be making decent money at this if I didn't waste 20% of my time looking up that information for every report.
I-Type platform?
nm
All-Type platform etc

They are using two different platforms, but the one they are hiring for is DocQScribe, which is the Medquist platform... this platform is in my opinion the best.  They can help you if you have expansions to load them onto the platform so that you don't have to type them all back in, too - I don't know if they can do it with every expansion program, but I know they can do it with Word Autocorrect.  I have been with them for about 2 years, and pay has NEVER, ever been late.  I am IC so I don't know about if they pay extra for holidays or not.  You would have to ask a recruiter.  QA usually leaves you alone once you pass the 100% review phase of your work, which if you are a good MT doesn't last long at all.  They only contact you with corrections, etc., if there is something major or if you request to have a copy of a specific report.  The QA team is really helpful though for answering questions.  This is by far the best company I have ever worked for, but not everyone has the same experience with every company.  I can't imagine what, but I am sure there is someone out there with something bad they can say about the company... it seems on these boards there is always someone who can say something bad about any company.. lol :)

MDI-FL - is the internet platform/MS word a good

platform.  I understand they have about 4 different platforms.  I would be interested in the proprietary internet platform that uses MS Word.  Is it user friendly and productive, can you see your line counts immediately, what type of short cut Expander is used, and the type of voice player to download jobs?

Thanks

Company that uses MS word insteadof their platform.

Did  a search, did not come up with any.  TIA

Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm

Is the platform good? Word-based? Is the new
position still recruiting? Just passed the written and doing the transcription next..
Freedom Type - platform? - sm

What is the platform like that Freedom Type uses?  Hard to get used to or up and running immediately?

Does anyone know what type of platform MxSecure
I love cardiology and am just wondering if they use a platform before I apply.  I wouldn't want to waste their valuable time if they expect work transcribed on a platform, i.e., Emdat or the like.  I am interested in typing in Word and using Express Scribe for voice.  Any info would be greatly appreciated!      my fellow MTs.......
Keystrokes uses mroe than one type of platform
Some accounts require a C-phone, some don't. It all depends on the account.
What type of platform does TransTech utilize?

Is it hard to learn?

It's their own platform on the editing end, I-Type. Not sure what you meant...nm

It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
Accustat (WI) - what type of platform, equipment needed, etc? Thanks! nm
