Sorry if you thought my post did not make sense. Actually I did not say anything at all about part-time employees. I am currently a part-time EMPLOYEE. The point I was trying to make is that companies want ICs in order to save on paying employee benefits and then they can't quite figure it out when the ICs don't have the same level of committment as an employee. I am not talking about the ICs who know their worth, charge appropriately, and take their obligation seriously. I am talking about gals/guys who do not need benefits, who are willing to take less than what an IC should take, and are happy just making a little extra money on the side when it is convenient for them. I am certainly not saying all ICs fit this profile.
