Exactly and the CMT should be a requirement
to practice! That has been proven by the absolutely atrocious quality of MT'ing today. Trust me, I have been a recruiter, a mentor/trainer, a supervisor and QA, I've seen it all and it ain't pretty.
Line requirement
I was told 6,000/two week period.
Line requirement

What I meant to post, 6,000 lines/two weeks for a part timer, 12,000 lines/two weeks for a full time worker, whether you are statutory or employee

IS THERE A MINIMAL REQUIREMENT?

and do they give you the equipment to use?

The only requirement of a recruiter

is to get bodies in the door.  Some are honest and some aren't.  If you have a bad gut feeling then you need to go with that.  My experience has been that the ones who are good recruiters have all the answers on the fly; if not, they can put you on hold to get the answer, or get back soon.

Of course you may have gotten a recruiter who just started and you are asking questions no one had given her/him answers for.  Geez, the percentage of retention for the past year?  That's an arbitrary question in any event due to a number of different factors and one I wouldn't even ask.  I know my skill set so for me it's just knowing if they have a system I can make money on and if there is sufficient work to make money.

Weekend requirement

The reason for this requirement is....sm
the speed and success of transferring voice files over a dialup ISP usually cause a lot of problems and take a person at least 2 x as long to download a file, most commonly 3 times as long.

Do you have satellite ISP availability?

What is the line requirement for them for full time?
Alltype - New MT requirement) sm

I tested, had recruiter interview, given install date and emailed the paper work which included Appendix G provide and maintain Professional Liability Insurance, required by law.

When I asked about this, was told, part of renters or home owners insurance for PC.  But when I called around, insurance companies -- said no, &  puzzled by this requirement.  I asked well how would the company benefit, they said, I don't know.  In the event of loss, they pay to me, not the employing company.

Anybody run into to this job requirement before with them or others??

The full time requirement is (sm)
1000 lpd. Not sure about part time. I am on the new ortho account that just started. I just started so cannot really answer the next question, but they seem to give you a primary and leave it at that. They do like to cross train, which everyone does. They send a foot pedal, but you get online with the tech person to download the software. It is very user friendly and the best I have ever worked on!!
again, no physical requirement at diskriter
but hospital employees still have to have a physical, pretty extensive one too - - I used to be one but got out of that employee status, prefer the Diskriter employee status, believe you can get both there though whichever floats your boat
Line requirement is 11,000 per pay period. sm

You keep a time sheet and turn it in every 2 weeks.  I am not sure as to how much time you are given to get up to speed, but they are a great bunch of people and seem to be very understanding and caring.  I am sure they would work with you if you were having problems.  And yes, you can make up your time if you are missing some hours.  Hope that helps.

Good luck!

Line count requirement

There are different pay levels.  To stay at the top level, you need to do 200 lph minimum.  P.S.  The web site is www.transolutions.net for more info.

Experience requirement for Keystrokes

I am just a few months shy of 3 years experience.  Does anyone know if it is worth it for me to apply?

what is their daily lines requirement
I use to work for Spheris which I loved I just got tired of working the Sa-Tu for two years and they would not change from schedule.
as a minimal requirement:? That's ridiculous

Every company has a minimal requirement.
Besides, radiology lines add up a lot faster than regular transcription.
Yes, partially, if a line requirement is met per PP.

Part time requirement is now
750 lines per day, I think.
Couldn't it be that more MTs are working 40 hrs now, due to the new requirement?? sm
Rather than assuming webmedx MUST BE doing something? I know I'm getting in all my hours.
Sounds nice but if it's a job requirement

I'm FT and it's 1200 lines...Not sure what PT requirement is (nm)

What is your minimum line requirement for FT?
Just curious what all is out there....thanks.
One-weekend day per week requirement...

I presently work for a company that requires one week-end day every week.  I've been browsing through the job list on MT Daily and all of them so far also require one weeke-end day per week . Why is this?  It's kind of a depressing thought to think the rest of your work days on this earth will include one weekend day.  Can't they just find people who want to  work weekends only and pay them a differential?  I know there are times in my life when just working weekends would have worked for me, there must be others out there.  I think it's rather gutsy to require everyone to work a weeken day.  Oh for the days of ole when MT's could work whatever days and hours they wanted.  And made good money on top of it.  And mostly English-speaking doctors.

Can anyone tell me how the work load is at MDI-MD? nm
nm
QA/work load
I too was with them for about 1-1/2 months. Their QA people were great, easy for me to work with, very helpful. The owner is easy to work for. I left for personal reasons, getting out of this field for awhile. I would go back if I did this work again.
Work load at TT
Crystal...how long have you been an MT? Why I'm asking is that if you've been an MT for any length of time you KNOW that there are certain periods during the year that things will slow down JUST briefly. Labor Day and school starting times of the year is one of them. Another is Christmas and Thanksgiving. Transtech usually has an over abundance of work and all you have to do is take advantage of the times when the work is really booming with the bonuses they offer, etc. and these times when it's a little bit slow you can sit back and relax a minute...and I mean a minute, because it's going to pick back up with a quickness.
The ESL load has been mentioned as being a very

TT work load
Maybe they're expecting. I work 2nd and have only run out of work twice in a year for a few minutes at most.
Work load
I personally almost always have work, although this morning was very slow, it picked up in the afternoon. I know work flow has been an issue for some though.
Work Load
Oh for goodness sakes, don't you know that work flow varies from day to day. As a rule TT usually has plenty of work if one is willing to work on more than one account. So many seem to complain but if they would get out of that little comfort zone and learn other accounts they would have more than enough to keep them busy for 8 hours. TT has a really good track record. The ones that complain probably don't want to work. They'd rather get their lines on message boards.

Work load
Well, have you ever considered moving to the shift that DOES have work then? Geeeeee, what a concept.

What a load of poop
When I put a space in a report, I'm pretty sure that's MY thumb that hits that space bar - I have the tenosynovitis to prove it. Therefore I should be paid. I think if that were the case we would have to send in reports with no spaces just to prove a point. OMG - just let me hang on in this industry long enough to put myself through nursing school!!!!
They only want FT MTs but the work load sm
for me was a PT load and of course at the lower end of their tier system. I had to jump ship.
If you are entry level, what is the line requirement.

and how long will they give you to make that count.  Also can someone tell me what the pay will be for entry level.  I see they are hiring all the time and was interested.

Thanks.

Also I was told there is a 20 hour per week requirement (sm)
along with the 4,000 line. I have been an IC with this company since 1998 and just found this out about a week ago. Nothing in anything I actually signed, they were just "letting me know" to maintain my status this was the requirement.

As above, each office is different although I think they are trying to get more uniform across the board.
Any companies with a daily line requirement of 800?
I'm serious. Are there any companies IC or employee with a daily line requirement of around 800 or so? I seriously lose concentration after that but I love to transcribe.
I thought the line requirement was 1200 for SE - sm
Do you have any idea why this person above is saying 1400 lines/pay period and telling me to brush up on my math skills? I'm confused! I only want to do 1000 lines per day right now, at least until my youngest is off to Kindergarten! I guess it depends on how easy it is to make 1200 lines/pay period. I could give it a shot to try for their incentive bonus and if I find I am doing it consistently, maybe change my status. Thanks for your help!
line count requirement at Webmedx

Last week I trained on a my account, which is very large with many dicators.  Today is the end of my first full week of production and I am averaging 110 lph. The requirements are 150 lph.  My trainer said that studies show it takes an average of 30 days to get used to a new account and reach production.  Therefore, I have 2 more weeks to reach 150 lph,and I am worried.  My supervisor said to work towards goal, but I know line count is the bottom line.  Can any Webmedx MTs shed some light on what they have experienced.  Also, is it usually customary to give at least 90 days?  My quality is good;however, I really need to crank out the lines.  Thanks

I have been with them 3 weeks and already surpassed the requirement. The platform
is very easy to use and easy to be productive on. As the other poster said, they are a wonderful bunch of people and I am sure they would work with you in any way you needed.
Requirement jacked up after good work goes
What's really great is how they jacked up the minimun requirements after ASR and Precyse International took all the good work, so it's now all crap all the time and you'd better do more of it or else. I'm very disappointed in this company.
Same here. When there is no work, how are you supposed to make the requirement

rate and line count requirement
So you know the rate for single coverage and the line count requirement to be eligible for coverage? Do they have dental also?

Do they stick to their 3 year experience requirement? sm
I only have 1 year of ortho exp on clinic accounts but feel that I am very well qualified in that I usually send my reports direct and they do not need to go to my manager very often.
