It's Believe That...

...recruiters, headhunters, etc., might say or do anything to get a person to work for their company. Maybe the poster should have rephrased the title Some of those recruiters will say anything..., but the poster certainly wasn't lying! The bottom line is money, and if a recruiter is being offered X amount of dollars to get X amount of MTs hired in a certain timeframe, you best believe that that recruiter is going to try his or her best to get as many warm bodies under their radar as possible. Don't let the smooth taste fool you. For example, I was to be hired by one company for whom I applied, (not Diskriter) and in speaking with the recruiter, she told me I could have a flexible schedule and didn't have to work weekends. WRONG. What ended up happening was that I indeed had to work a Tuesday through Saturday shift as well as work holidays and my schedule couldn't be changed for 3 months. Not a whole lot of flexibility allowed there.
