Supposedly new upgrade for WordClient is compatible with Vista, per our mgmt.

We are about to do an upgrade, and they say it will be compatible with Vista with this new upgrade of WordClient.  Yipeeee

Anybody know of any companies that are compatible with the

Would love to be working on my own computer which has Vista on it.

Help me out if you know any companies that have software compatible with Vista now.

Which companies have Vista-compatible platforms?
nm
A few are compatible, but not all. More are becoming compatible though which is nice. sm
We are the mercy of the hospitals except those that are on DQS now.

Yes, I do. Was this upgrade something that I would (sm)
have seen happening on my screen?  Because if so, I didn't see anything unusual anytime.  I'm really confused now.
Upgrade equipment
Upgrading your equipment, I cant make enough money to pay for upgrading the equipment!  I have been sitting here all day, since 7:30 this morning, trying to get a decent line count and Im still only at around 500 lines..hardly any work all day..just about the worst I have ever seen it.  If and when I decide to move on, Im gonna have to go with a company that supplies the equipment.  Right now, this pay check I probably will just about be able to pay my bills and I need new tires!  LOL!  Well, I will be sitting here tonight till about midnight, hopefully some work will build up in the system.
what the heck is there to upgrade anyway on a DD?
nm
Well, this is a significant upgrade from SM
previous--Keystrokes will definitely now be on my list for possible employers.  I think you've really opened yourselves to a much larger talent pool with the improvement!
When was there an Ex-Text upgrade??

nm

Spheris upgrade?
I have been down for the past 2 days due to computer problems. I was wondering if anybody else has been down. Also, I doubt I will get any down time.
Windows XP - do you have to do the Microscoft upgrade? (sm)

I've heard it's flawed and am afraid to do the time change upgrade.  Will it show that all the reports I do are an hour ahead?  I work on Ex-Text.

Transtech did ExText upgrade on 6/6/07.
When we logged onto the system ExText did an automatic upgrade on that day.  You must work for Transtech?
You say word 2003 upgrade. Is this

I didn't have to upgrade because I had it already but if its the same company I think the QA person can use a class in learning how to deal with people without rudeness.

an upgrade? mean newer version?
This should not be an end of the year thingee seems to me.  I would ask what exactly an upgrade means. No reason not to ask for the facts. Does it mean an upgraded version of MedRite or upgrade to a newer type platform or just what does it mean.

Nice people, but they need a major upgrade.
:(
It was slow before this last upgrade. Tech support is sm
wonderful as well. I don't find it slow.
Stinks, doesn't it? Seems like everytime they do an upgrade sm
the lines get tougher to get.
The solution center's memo of an upgrade to the system SM
in the next couple of weeks (not on company computer right now so don't remember exact date) includes release notes that says the issue of the platform freezing will be corrected. I hope this fixes some of my own problems.
Memo specifically said upgrade would address the platform freezing up.

I don't know why it's not compatible
Are you talking about your MS Word autotext?
As far as I know, nothing is compatible with Medrite, sm
especially if you are working in DOS. I worked on it for over a year and never did get the hang of remembering my own word expansions. I used IT too long and could not get used to anything else.
VISTA IS COMPATIBLE
I dont know who told you VISTA was not compatible but it most certainly is! I bought a new laptop with Vista and have been working without any problems whatsoever. If you're having a problem downloading it, it's because you must first sign in as, run as administrator...then it will download for you...
satellite is not compatible. sorry.

vonage is compatible with 911 - you just have to set it up - nm

MT equipment is often not compatible with VoIP too.
For example:

If you need your (*) key to sign off on a job, it may not work because some phone plans/phone cards will use that key to disconnect you so you can dial another number to avoid having to dial in again and enter your whole ID# and PIN# all over again.
Same goes for the (#) key; some may use this key for that function, which might be a key you need to get the header info. for each job or to repeat the header info.

It's very difficult for an MT to find a LD plan, and unfortunately, some MT companies out there don't realize this or simply don't care.
Is Shorthand or Smartype compatible with

Either program is compatible with ChartMatrix. nm

Thanks. What platform do they use and is Word compatible?

Vista is not compatible with many programs out there yet. (sm)
From what I hear, Vista and MOST transcription platforms are not compatible.
It can be done providing the softwares are compatible. Some

AutoCorrect is not compatible with Extext ESP

Is the platform compatible with an expansion
I don't mean using the features in MS-Word (Auto-Text, etc.), but something like Smartype or Shorthand? When I interviewed with them a couple of years ago, I was very impressed with them, but I can't fly without an Expander and there were issues with Lotus not counting expanded text with every expander I asked to use with it. It was only for that reason that I did not accept a position with them.
Not the OP, but what do you use for a PC-Dart compatible system or

Just found out, Vista NOT compatible

just in case anybody else was wondering.

Is the MDI platform compatible with Vista? nm

Any company compatible with VISTA?

It has to be compatible with Start/Stop. You can
go to their website and see what pedal they offer.  I know they have a 2 pedal one and a 3 pedal one.

the bayscribe platform is supposed to be compatible,

Does anyone know if ChartScript is compatible with Windows Vista?
I just ordered a new HP laptop with Windows Vista, and I was wondering if anyone knows if the ChartScript.net platform will run on Vista without any problems. I want to be able to take my laptop with me when I travel so that I can work on the road.
I use Scribe for orthopedics and it is compatible with Shorthand.
nm
Bayscribe platform is compatible with Vista.
You just need to find a company that uses Bayscribe. There may be other platforms but I don't know of any.
Does anyone know, is the Meditech program with Keystrokes compatible sm
with Vista?  I am thinking of getting a laptop, and I found out that Dell will downgrade you to XP, but they charge you $99 more
And yes as long as the different software and foot pedals are compatible. nm
s
The software may or may not be compatible once they're both on your puter. Give it a go! nm
s
Keystrokes' ads all say WindowsXP or 2000. Vista is not compatible sm
with most platforms, which is not the fault of the company.

You were not fired; the offer letter states that employment is pending IS approval of your computer. Vista is NOT compatible with most MT platforms at this time. No one would have told you to purchase that. We do just the opposite and tell everyone NOT to purchase VISTA as it is does not work with our hospitals.
Is Instant Text compatible with Axolotl's platform? Thanks!

Or do they have their own expansion software?  If so, what is it?

Thanks!
