It is with me, but

only if it causes ME to keep the sweet deal.

My company (the only one I contract with, although I am free to take on others)  is not harming me in any way, and I am not harming them, our arrangement is mutually satisfactory.  I work the hours I want and nobody bothers me as long as I am doing that, and producing the agreed-upon number of lines.

Let the IRS decide that I am actually an employee because this is the only company I work for and suddenly a whole can of worms is opened.  If they decide I am an employee, then the company has a chain to yank as far as my scheduling and I definitely do not want that.

So I happily do without such questionable benefits as sick days and vacation days because, since they usually are calculated on full-time employment, my part-time efforts would hardly merit any time off.  Gimme liberty or gimme no job at all!
