Resource Providers, Inc.?
Has anyone ever heard of this company?  Know anything about them?
Here's a great resource
YOu can find out what services are available anywhere at this site (it's safe to click on). I'm in the same boat as you...

If the link below isn't clickable, copy and paste in your browser

Resource Providers, Inc (RPI)....Does anyone actually work for them? sm
Would like to hear from current or former employees with info on this company. You can email me if you would rather not post here. Thanks.
Here's an awesome resource for MTs using MS Word...sm
It's called Tips 'N Techniques in MS Word --Productivity Tips and How-To's for the Transcriptionist compiled by Cheryl Flanders. It really helped me when I was new to Word. It comes in a large, handy spiral binder. I ordered mine from her website, cherylflanders.com. I believe it was around $40. You can also find her online help in a forum called ProductivityTalk.com.

Good luck, I hope this helps! Also, I'm sending you an email.
Heartlanders-find a Federal resource to help

Although my job has not been displaced, I can emphasize with your predicament.  I have seen the decline in pay and benefits as a direct result of offshoring and only being able to find a job with a MTSO who stands against offshoring by sacrificing about 30% of what I had just 3 years ago.  Now I have custody of a 2 yo and because I make just barely above the 200% poverty level, I do not qualify for goverment benefits that I have been paying into for the past 30 years; however, because of certain federal funds being administered differently at the discretion of different states, I could move to a different state and the 200% limit would not apply to me!

In researching what benefits ARE available to me, I found the website I have linked below.  There are benefits available to persons who have lost their jobs to offshoring but I would like to point out one thing:

ONE of the programs requires that at least 3 OR MORE persons having been affected apply for the benefit.  So please for the sake of each of you that are going through your own crises, band together so each of you can find a solution that works for your own needs.  Please leave the ability to email each other in your posts so you can network.  You need each other's support now more than ever!  Find out what you CAN do for yourselves and for each other.  What have you been paying taxes for all this time?  You deserve whatever benefits you can obtain...you have already PAID for them!

I replied, too
What difference would it make if it was an MTSO checking things out?  I mean, if they have jobs, what the hey?  Or am I missing something here?
Yep, I got it and replied.
Thanks.
Have you considered radiology tech or lab tech?
A lot of the credits you have acquired for nursing transfer to both of those programs. Probably a little less stressful.
I was just looking at their website when you replied to this, trying to (sm)
decide if I should call them about an ad they had online!   Do they have employee status or is it all IC?  Were they flexible with schedules?  If you don't want to answer on here, feel free to e-mail me.  I have about 6 companies I'm juggling and don't know which to choose.  Thanks!
I replied to you via email nm

Loved The Way You Replied!
I know this is days after your discussion but just saw your post. Laughed out loud at the way you replied to the previous comment about better rate. Guess it was just one of those moments that I needed a good laugh.
I know they never replied to me when I E-mailed them..nm

TY, replied back. nm

Thanks to all who replied to my post. nm

I read it below and replied...
The link worked fine for me.
Got it and replied back. Thanks! nm

I replied to you once, sweetheart. You've got a
really bad attitude. My response wasn't a big huge long drawn out one-sided conversation either. It was plain and simple. If you can't find the email that they send to everyone, CALL THEM or email them. Who is supposed to help you here? Not that I CARE anyway. Just trying to help the helpless become more proactive in finding their own answers. How much time did you waste on the board being snotty and calling everyone else snotty when a simple little five minute phone call would have fixed all of your complaints? Try to help someone and get your nose bit off.
Did you read the post you replied to at all?
Because they can even manipulate their count program not to count certain letters, data tags, etc. Of course it will not jive with a word count in Word that will count it all and fairly. Make sense?
Ditto....I replied about them below too but just had to say I agree again! (nm)

...

I posted the one you replied to, and I didn't
say anything about Obama...?
A post was made asking for opinions. I replied. sm

Part of the reason I replied was because I did go to management, several times in fact, and either there were no replies whatsoever or the replies were in disagreement with others in management, leaving me wondering which one was correct, or they were replies to simply pacify with no intention of correcting.  I'm not trying to flame the company. If my experience seems like a flame, it is because there is a problem and exposing it is like exposing dirty laundry, I guess.  It isn't meant to dissuade anyone or persuade any else for that matter.  It is simply MY experience.  Like I said before, I am not a disgruntled employee.  I am merely experiencing some things in the company that differ from what others are going through and I am simply expressing my experiences on this forum because of what I stated before about intimidation coming from management on the internal forum.

You are absolutely right that there are many, many employees of Transcend that are extremely happy.  I'm not among the ones who have flamed anyone for posting postive experiences. I have/had been one of those happy employees for years.  There are also many that have been so fed up they have quit. There are also current employees who are in my situation as well, but are afraid to talk about it.  At this point in time, I fall in the middle grouping.  I'm not saying it's a bad company to work for.  Again, I am merely expressing my experience, and has been said many, many times before, I'm quite confident that people on this board have the ability to know what is best for them in a company and aren't going to let the posting of a few happy cheerleaders or a few disgruntled ex-employees be the basis for the decision what company to choose or not to choose.

All I am saying is that if you are the poster who feels that he/she can work whenever simply because it is inconvenient to work the shift you had committed to, please don't assume that I hadn't talked to management about MY issues and try to point the finger and make accusations about MY motives.  This board is about the pros and the cons.  Unfortunately for me, my circumstance falls in the latter grouping and I shouldn't be lumped into a group of people flaming or bashing and told it is unfair for me to speak about my experience when I have tried all other internal avenues to no avail.  If my experience seems like flaming the company, there would be no flame if there was no ember to fan, so I should have that accusation pointed at me simply because I discuss it?? That is what's not fair, and since I did say I didn't want to argue, I'm not going to keep the discussion going with banter that gets heated or flamed to the point the whole string gets deleted.  Thanks for your input and have a nice day.

I see. You replied to a post asking about their pay scale. Nevermind. nm

I replied and was hired for one of those positions. It is internet. Not sure about all sm
but at least the one I am on is ExText.

Same thing here, got the email and replied, and now NO contact from them

I appreciate the input, but they haven't replied to my resume...sm
even though I have 9 years of MT experience, 4 of that with hem/onc.  I just don't get why they can't send even a blanket email out...that's better than being totally ignored.

Trans Tech Medical Solutions or Trans Tech Svcs?
Which is the one that everyone is always saying is so good to work for?  Trans Tech Medical Solutions or Trans Tech Services out of Iowa?  Thanks for any clarity you can provide!!!!
Med-Tech
I worked there for 2 years and I liked it fine. The company has been going through changes internally and going onto a neew system, so I don't know how it is now. You do have to work in-house until you get up to speed (I think that is still applicable) No problem with getting paid direct deposit every two weeks. Supervisors and QA people are readily available for questions/problems. A very fair and nonabusive QA team Some have not liked the company, but I found them fair and easy to work for, one of the better services I have been involved with. They deal with hospitals and large clinics, no individual practices. You get a variety of work. You do have to start out working evening shifts, I believe....like I said I've been gone for a while, but I hope this helps.
Med-Tech

I tested with Med-Tech a few days ago and I got an E-mail today to contact them regarding my scores. Does anyone know if this is a good company and/or if this is good news? Thanks!

Med-Tech
Are you still working for them? How is it?

how is the technical department at transtech?  Is it better to have your own computer or are theirs pretty reliable??

Thanks to all in advance.  I would appreciate any input.

Med-Tech Help . . . .
Does anyone else work for Med-Tech?  I got my first check but not my second and no one in payroll has responed to me as of yet.  Do they only pay once a month?  Or only cut a check over a certain amount?  I'm really tired of fighting for my money with these transcription places.  It makes me sick.  I work because I have to work -- it's not like it is just a hobby!
re: Med-Tech
They pay on the 1st and the 15th of the month. When did you receive your last paycheck?
MT Tech
Why do they have a flashing "now hiring" sign?  Everytime I call in for work the pool is dry!
CPR Tech

Also did a short time with company.  Dictaphone needed and second line.  Thought platform was easy enough.  No training given, jump right in with heavy ESL and super speed MDs (was told ESLs but not told almost every dictator would be one).   Rerecording makes ugly MDs even worse.  It was assumed experience in all fields.  Pay was on time, however.

Med-Tech
Does Med-Tech offshore?
Maybe the tech can get in there and see if

T-Tech
I know there has been a lot of discussion about T-Tech on here lately but would like to know if there is anyone there who really likes it and would be willing to e-mail and share their experience.  Would like to know about schedule flexibility, software, ESL, etc.  Thanks in advance.
Med-Tech

Is there anyone out there with familiar with the company Med-Tech?  Any information grealy appreciated.

Ask Tech
There is a word Expander on BeyondTXT.  Ask them.  I do believe they can include what they call a short-cut which will export your Expanders over.  Not exactly sure, but they are really helpful... glad to see we have new MTs.... keep in touch if I can be of help.  Im relatively new but would share what knowledge I have.  I work on BeyondTXT for 2 months.
can't the tech help you do that?
x
Tech should help
The techies are very aware of how to transfer your MQ Expander files to be used in MDI. Ask Matt or Greg, they have been doing this for years! Ask them about the aco file, do not try to do it on your own.
MED-TECH
Anyone know what MED-TECH pay is starting at?  I have a year exp.  I am wondering what kind of pay the offer generally.  They sent a test to me.  I hate to waste time on testing if the pay is not good.  I already have one job with bad pay.  I don't want another.
Med-Tech

Does anyone in the world work for Med-Tech, at home or locally. Infomation on this company is like looking for a ghost!! It's like no one really works for them. Even locally. Or is there information that you just can't get on this company? If anyone has worked, is working, or has any info on this company please share.

MED-TECH
Did you take their test yet?  It takes the recruiter awhile to get back to you.  I passed their test and was offered a job, but it took awhile.  For various reasons, nothing they did, I turned them down.
Med-Tech
I don't know.  I Emailed you.
Med-Tech
I think they are in Covington.  I spoke with a man.
Med-Tech
Hello MTs:   I was wondering if anyone had any information on a company called Med-Tech located in Metairie, Louisiana.  Is pay good per line, are they a dependable company, do they pay on time, just general information.  Thanks
