Keystrokes has the best radiology accounts IMO. I have plenty of work and radiology only. nm
I make a good living and rarely run out of work. When I do, it is for a few minutes at a time and usually because the rads have not started early enough. No other complaints!
I make more at Medware than I did at MQ
and the benefits were better.  Steady work with a team leader that I know actually cares about MTs that work for her.  Medware has been a great company for me.
Make more at Medware than I did at MQ
That is one of the reasons I went to work for Medware, because the line rate was higher than what I was making at MedQuist.  I am an employee and also have their insurance.
I make this, too, and also not management. Top pay for Medware is 8.5. nm

She's giving work TO Medware, or is Medware giving work to her company? Medware has no work. nm

I make 4 cents a line, work part and make
over $500 a week on part.
Don't know about radiology work load, but we have been scratching in the dirt for work for a numb

of months now.  They hire, lose account, hire again before new accounts comes onboard, then have overhired, having to put new MT's on the current low workload.

I know two people who work 3rd shift for Keystrokes on radiology and have a lot of work. Maybe you
on an account that has enough work. I hate to hear that someone doesn't have enough work or that they have a problem because I know that Keystrokes works to find the right account for every person. They do a lot for us but you have to talk to them until you find the right account or volume or hours for you.

I think that a lot of companies are that way but there is a lot of job-hopping in transcription. Everyone is looking for the perfect job but the grass is not always greener on the other side. There are a few MTSO's really are not good but for the most part, the others don't intentionally drive people away. That would not make sense. They need us to work as much as we need them to have the work there for us.

$20 an hour is not even average for radiology. You should not make less than $25-30 per hour. sm
I work for Keystrokes and have for 3 years. I average 25 reports an hour, which is $31.25 an hour. I have 401, health insurance, direct deposit, life insurance. My lead tells me I'm wonderful when I talk to her, but I do not need a daily pat on the back.

I also have a good friend who works for them on a clinic. She only makes 0.08 per line but does 300 lines an hour, which is $24 an hour, again higher than your $20.

I don't think we're selling ourselves short. There are companies out there that are good to work for, 6 or 8 of them that I know of personally. Don't settle for $20 an hour.
Want Radiology QA work

Looking for part-time radiology QA work.  Anybody know of any companies looking?  Thanks.

How is MDI-MD Radiology to work for?
Is there enough work or are they overhiring? TIA
still work in radiology
Just read your post and was wondering if still working for this company and if so what company is it. Thanks
Radiology work
Does anyone know a company who will let you work on radiology if you have not done radiology for several years?  I used to do it all the time, but it seems every ad says current experience.  Now I do acute care and am sure I could pick radiology up again.
used to? EVERY work day? On radiology?
/
I make more than that with Spheris but never have work. I would rather make $1.25 and have work. s
My SIL works for KS, and she gets paid double for linked reports too. Where do you get $2.25? I am ready to leave Spheris.
Best company for radiology MTs to work.
I'm looking for a company that hires radiology MTs. Thanks.
I will only work by the report for radiology and only if sm
I am paid for links and extra for specials. I type 120-200 reports a day for Keystrokes and make more money by far than when I worked for another service and when I worked for a hospital. But make sure that you are paid for links and make sure that the person who hires you and/or trains you is familiar with the account and can tell you what the average report count is. Go with a service, such as Keystrokes, that is known for radiology. There are a few out there but make sure that they have enough radiology accounts to keep you busy. There are slow periods just like with any speciality and a good service knows when they are and how to schedule for them. Do your homework. Not sure if KS is hiring but they have the most rad accounts based on what I researched two years ago prior to going with them. Good luck!
Keystrokes - Not Enough Radiology Work
I too thought Keystrokes would be my salvation when I read all the great posts about it, and accepted an offer in September.  But my radiology accounts dried up, and even though I have been begging for work, I have not been offered anything steady or stable.  Yes, everyone there is as nice as can be, paychecks (such as they are) are on-time, but from the time I get up until I go to bed I am lucky if I have a half-dozen reports.  My first/primary account went voice before I even started it. I asked for a backup and they gave me clinic notes - I only do radiology, I have 13 years of radiology.  I asked for another backup and had one for less than a month before it went voice.  During that month there were more transcriptionists than available dial-in lines, so couldn't get in to work half the time.  Now I've been given an account that I'm only allowed to work on weekend afternoons.  I continue to ask them to find me an account.  I absolutely cannot believe I am begging for work and earning nothing.  I have a family counting on me, I can't go on like this.  I am absolutely devastated.  CONSIDER VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU GO TO KEYSTROKES.
Webmedx Radiology work
Does anyone do radiology transcription for Webmedx?  How do you like it?  Do you make enough money?  Thanks, any info really appreciated.
Webmedx radiology MTs?? How are they to work for and good pay?

TIA....

What in your experience is the most efficient Word-based radiology platform to work on? nm

RE: What in your experience is the most efficient Word-based radiology platform to work on? nm
RadNet
I work on acute care accounts, so I can't speak for the radiology side. (SM)
The work does look like it's beginning to pick up though for acute care.
I work on the radiology account they are hiring for at Southern Transcription Services
and always have work. I have only run out a work a handful of times. It is a very busy account. It is a very good company to work for.
Anyone Work for Medware?
Still fishing for some input on working for this comany, anyone got any info?
Does anybody work for Medware?
How productive are you?  Is the platform user friendly?  I'm thinking of applying there.
Work for Medware
You are right, it is an awesome platform.  Easy to get good line count.
I work for Medware
They are a very good company, I started out part-time and then went to full-time.  Good benefits, direct deposit and steady work.  Don't know too much about Spheris but I am quite happy with Medware.  Good luck to you.
Anyone know how much Medware work goes to
nm
How is Medware to work for??
I was just offered a job with them.  Anyone out there give me any info on them??
Just work for Medware

I currently work for Medware....sm
and absolutely LOVE it! They do match a percentage on 401k. I also think it depends on the Team Leader regarding holidays. Everything is negotiable. I always have work, and the Team Leaders I have are great! You also have to kind of take what you hear on this board (or most) at times with a grain of salt because as you said, there are lovers and haters of MOST companies, but what one person may hate, another may love. This is only my second MT job, and I believe I will be retiring with this one. I have been one of the lucky ones to have only worked for 2 companies. The first one I worked as an IC, and I would still be there, but needed an employee position with bennies and other perks such as sick leave, vacation, etc. when my hubby got laid off from his job. I have to say that I could not have chosen a better company to work for, and I too was skeptical at first. You just need to ask questions and make sure ANY job is the right one for you. I wish you luck!
I work for Medware....sm
and LOVE it. I have been with them for almost a year now. They pay on time. They have a GREAT staff, incentives, platform, good benefits, etc. HTH!
Medware has no work for anybody
.
Keystrokes for radiology. They are the biggest for radiology out of all of the companies out there.
I have been there 2 years and have been very happy. I make a lot more money than when I worked for Edix/Spheris.
Which platform do you work on at Medware?

nm

you don't happen to work for medware do you??...
I work on an account that sounds just like the one you are on and it is horrible. After 4 months still can't get a decent line count on this account and I have several years of experience.
I work for Medware and could not be happier

Medware has been a great company to work for, I have been with them for over two years.  Very happy at Medware.

medware and cymed...anyone work for both and if so...sm
I was wondering which company you prefered.  They are about the same benefit wise and such, but was wondering how they differ as far as management, work load, platform, etc.  Also, am just taking general comments on both companies - good or bad.  I have a offer from both and not sure which company to go to.  I have looked in the archives, but just not sure as there is good and bad for both.  Thanks.
I too work for Medware and LOVE it...
They were a very good change for me also. The benefits are good. My team leaders are GREAT. I could NOT have picked a better place to work. They DEFINITELY are a GREAT company to work for, and I too have been VERY happy there!
I work for Medware...I love it!

Medware is giving work to her.

Thinking about applying with Medware. Is work and

I work for MedWare part-time.
I am happy MedWare. Theyis flexible though you do have to do a stick to a schedule. However, I have never had a problem with getting time off when I wanted. They have plenty of work for us to do. Pay is on time. The Merit platform is user friendly though I liked Dictaphone better. So far, I have had a nice group of people to work with.

I believe the pay is low but I have applied to 3 other nationals and they have not offered anything better. I hope that helps.
I work for MedWare part-time.

I am impressed.  I get quick responses from my supervisor.  The Merit runs real smooth on my computer.  We have lots of work. This week it is a little slow as compared to last week but enough to keep us busy during our shift.  Usually by weekends though we are swamped.   I do think the pay is a little low but for me it is worth it not to have to drive in-house.

I have never worked for Diskriter.  The benifit package looks wonderful.

I work for MedWare part-time.

I have no complaints.  I have worked since December.  Last week the account I was on ran out of work.  They say that doesn't happen very often.  The week before that we had too much work to do.  Anyway, the pay is a little low but probably average in this business anymore.  I use the Merit platform.  It is easy to learn but I don't like the word processor part.  It is like a glorified note pad.   Schedules are flexible.  I have not yet had any problem getting off when I needed it.
