Anyone else finding their work drying up in the NE region. Are you sticking around or moving out. I
am not sure what to do yet.
How does MD-IT work...do you work for the region in which you live?
If I live in the MidWest Region do I work for the Midwest Office in Mpls/St. Paul? Seems like the benefits are great. Anyone currently work for MD-IT and could tell me a bit about the company! Appreciate it!
Anyone work as an editor for Transcription Services, LLC North Carolina

Tons of work

I don't know what account other poster is on but she should probably check with her supervisor about the no work issue--that doesn't sound like Amphion.

The account I'm on is never out of work and it is always available to work on, overtime included.  I love Amphion and have been at several different companies.

Amphion gives me the freedom to do my work and keeps me in work but they don't bug me to death about work.  They go above and beyond to create macros, request software changes that get approved for MTs to use to make our jobs easier.  I get employee benefits including retirement and PTO and I couldn't be happier. I'm also not bombarded with emails all day like I was at TRS a few years ago.  The supervisors and QA are great!  I was not sure when I started because I was skeptical from past jobs, so I started part-time and kept my other full-time MT job, then made the switch to full-time with Amphion after a few months and I am so glad I did.

If anyone remembers Omnimed from a few years back, they are now back as Amphion.  You really have to just give it a shot to see if they're a good fit.

I have tons of work.. I can't see how you can say that.
What account are you on?
Tons of work currently
Hmmm, I have not had this problem at Amphion.  We have been doing overtime for a long time now, sometimes mandatory, sometimes optional.  I have by no means ran out of work.  I just wanted to give another opinion.  I'm very happy working there and would recommend them.
I have always had tons of work..SM
I would e-mail Lee directly if you are running out of work on you account. She is VERY nice and more than willing to help out. She will put you on a new account, or give you a backup in a heartbeat. She has done it for me and many other people.
I have tons of work...

Same here. TONS of work. Never run out
They are always asking for extra help, and I'm always glad to give it! I have never even ever come close to running out of work the year I have been there.
We have tons of work!
The account that I am lead on has tons of work. I personally don't use the insurance since I have it through my husband's job, but we did recently get a new policy that I heard was great.
If you want tons of work at MDI
ask for a Lanier account. There is always a ton of work and I have never run out. Plus of which, I love the account!
Still around and tons of work
I have been with Meridian for 4-1/2 years. I haven't had a slow period or run out of work in the last year and a half. Love it there. contact me if you want more info.

Try TransTech instead. FABULOUS company and TONS of work!

I also lost hospital job and have tons of clinic work
Hospitals can afford the software, clinics cannot....  It will be a long time before any of these clinics can afford the software especially when the health insurance providers refuse to reimburse for services rendered like they should...  When I say clinic, I mean private practice....
I do Rad for TT. Pay is good, tons of work, decent accounts. I know they are hiring a few more

I love it there...
Depends on the region I think
Former co-workers of mine still work for SPi and I'm not hearing really bad stories yet. I find myself wondering about the variety of experiences I'm hearing, wondering if it's due to the regional managers or what.

If you don't have a lot to risk, it might be worth a shot, but I'd have a backup plan in case they make you crazy.
Transcenders what region
You girls with no work, what regions do you work in?  I work on 2 different platforms, BeyondTxt being one and in both my regions work is plentiful.  I have 5 backup accounts in case things slow down but they haven't on my primary and they are always asking for help on my secondaries.  Not saying you aren't telling the truth, just wondering what region it is.  Do you do more than one worktype?  I know where are some girls in my region who only will do one worktype and won't try anything else.  That makes for a smaller paycheck, I'm thinking.  Just curious so don't flame me.
Where do YOU work? I want tons of work...
Seriously, where do you work, if you don't mind sharing???
never heard of the Mountain Region....
maybe the Denver region? If that's it, I have no experience with them.
Pronounciation depends on what region
of the country you are in a lot of the time. I am from the south. Our doctors pronounce syncope as syn-co-pe - Up north they say syn-cope. Just 1 example.
Any info on MD-IT Dallas Region?

Any Warminster MTs have any thoughts on the email about getting switched to the NE region. Just
wonder what you think about the whole thing.
Yes, I am talking about the fact that our accounts are being transferred to the NE Region. Are you
not aware of that. It is happening on Monday morning.
Need opinions. I am part of the Northeast region of MQ or New York and we have been told that they

want to keep all the accounts so I assume that means all the NE Region within one hour of being out of work and out of work every night or caught up. Now I ask you where does this leave the MTs. I am speaking of acute care accounts with TAT of 12, 24 and 48 hours. Our offifce accounts are already complaining of poor quality work coming back to them because of just everyone being thrown into them to get the work done so I guess to accomplish this ridiculous obssessive 1 hour complete work situtation they will lose accounts and quite obviously MTs as running that close to complete in my option will run us continuously out of work into backups and of course then we are watched for how much of our work goes to QA etc. Does this seem like a no win situation. ASR has picked over all the accounts already also on DQS. I can see looking around very soon depending on how this situation plays out. Is this idea crazy or is it normal.

North Dallas
I am from about 45 minutes North but closer to Dallas is Prosper and Celina near Frisco, a booming suburb.  Prosper and Celina are small towns not too far from actual Dallas.
TRS in North Carolina

North Shore
In Mass are you talking about. I was supposedly hired by them in 2004. They had me waste my gas and time driving there to train on their system. I was very well qualified if I don't mind saying. The owner has her little canary friend working for her.  They are not a company I would recommend. I feel they are dishonest and sneaky.  The owner sat with her fat arse in her office all day and counted her pennies. There line count was all funky..so just stay away.
Today it's just the NORTH POLE!
Merry merry, happy, happy!
TSLLC of North Carolina??
Anyone know anything about this company?  Looking for good, bad, or otherwise.  Willing to share.  Considering them.  Looking for posts from former or current workers, please.  Cannot find anything on here.
Since when was India in North America?
NAFTA stands for North American Free Trade Agreement; i.e. US, Canada, and Mexico. Since India is not part of North America, they would not be part of the agreement.

No it was acute care up north.

North Shore Medical Transcription

Hi,

I just tried to send you an email but am not sure it went through. I worked for NSMT from 1991 till 1995 and all I can say is it's a very reliable and solid employer if you show you can be relied upon as well. It's really nice having a one-on-one rapport with the person(s) running the company. I ran across an ad recently by them on line, and its led by the same woman. She's a tough cookie, no nonsense, but a really good person and a terrific manager. As far as getting work and being paid on time, as an employee that was never a question for me. If she's doing IC these days, just keep in touch with her and she'll work with you I'm sure.

Everyone's different, but I'd say this company is definitely a good bet. I don't know what accounts they have these days, but there was a good variety. I worked on site at the Lahey Clinic most of my time there and it was a super assignment.
