Precyse Info

Good company, easy platform to use and learn.  The scheduling is individualized.  I work a split schedule, my choice, and I love it.  Their benefits are also very good.  No complaints on this end after 3+ years.  I do think at this point they are looking to hire 2nd and 3rd shifts, but I am not positive about that.  They do take their QA seriously, not picking on you for stupid things, but do expect you to produce high quality work..a company who still appreciates quality over quantity. I'v worked for other nationals and this one fits me extremely well.  No complaints.  Good Luck!

Precyse Info
What do you need to know?  Each MT has to find a good company fit and Precyse is mine, this after 20+ years in the profession.  No company is perfect, don't get me wrong, but I like my pay, my schedule, the benefits I have (do not carry health care, but do carry dental, vision, disability), PTO account, and most of all the fact that I have been working on the same 2 accounts...yes 2 accounts...for the past 3+ years.  How rare is that in this business?!?
Precyse Info
I have to agree with the other post about lack of getting back to you via Email or IM, but I also have to say that is my only complaint.  I always have work, but I also work a split shift (my choice).  The rest is true about good benefits, PTO and on time pay.  It's obvious that they expect you to be independent and responsible---which is what I live for, I hate a supervisor calling me, nagging me, or simply annoying me.  Let me do my job, do it well and leave me alone.  If you need hand holding, you will not get it with Precyse.  Works for me and I love the company, plan to stay as long as it exists....which in this profession you always have to have your antenna up!

Do they offer direct deposit?  Any problems with pay?  How do they handle holidays?

Direct Deposit--Yes

Problems with pay--After 4 years, always correct and on time.

Holidays--varies per manager, they ask for volunteers first because there are always MTs who really enjoy that time and a half.  I would rather be with my family personally.  I do usually offer a couple of hours if they need me, but they seldom do.

I've read that they have a unique PTO plan.  Do you like it?

PTO plan--LOVE IT, LOVE IT.  You save money without even realizing it.  The more you type, the more you put into the account.  It's great.  You can use it for cash, time off, or anything you want.

I'm assuming since they use Webcorrect, you don't get paid for the demographic stuff, but is the line rate based on a 65-character line with spaces?

Yes; demos are already there when you log on.  If you have to look anything up, it takes little to no time at all (a rare thing from what I have experienced with other companies.

Hope this helps.

Info on Precyse

Interesting that the post below did not take the job, but has an opinion about the company.  At any rate, the Webcorrect program is one of the easiest programs I have used with an easy to use expander.  Rate of pay and benefits are good, on time, and easy to obtain bi-weekly bonus.  You need to be an independent worker that does their job, keeps your schedule, and has good QA.

On the other side of the coin, the post is correct about difficulty getting a response from managers, and if you are looking for a M-F job (and the recruiter told you that you could have one), I'm sure the manager will tell you that is not the case.  Work fluctuates like any other national, but I have personally not be out of work with my accounts.

Personally, this company works for me.  Each MT has their own wants and needs.

Looking for info from Precyse Rad MTs. TIA nm

Precyse info
Precyse is an awesome company with a great PTO plan. They have a very user-friendly typing platform and really seem to care about their MTs. I left there only to take management job.
Precyse Info
Above post not exactly accurate. Yes, we do have ASR and 40% of the workload has been switched to ASR. I transcribe and do ASR. I would love to do all transcription, but I would be sticking my head in the sand if I didn't cross train since ASR is the way all companies are going. It makes the company money, not so much the MT, but it is reality. The company is a good one, but be clear about what you want and expect.
Precyse Info
Loved Precyse, then they switched most of the accounts to ASR. If you are interested in that, the ASR pay is better than other companies. Overall good experience, but reality dictates that we have to accept that ASR is here to stay. I will stay with this company as they have been good to me, just hard to teach an old dog new tricks!
Precyse Info

Love my job at Precyse.  Happy with pay and accounts.  Happy with my schedule.  Same Primary/Secondary accounts for years, no problem with having work.  Been with the company several years.  That said, you need to be able to work without someone holding your hand.  You need to be prepared to go to VR.  Communication at times can be difficult.   Just being honest.

Precyse Info
Good place to work, but you must be willing to take on VR and transcription, the only way to guarantee work and good accounts. I've been with them 5+ years and never plan to leave.
Precyse QA, any info?

I am looking for information on Precyse QA?  Hourly or production, flexible, etc.

Thanks.

Info on Precyse

Hi!  I work for Precyse and do ASR and love it. It has been very productive for me and the platform is very user friendly. Worked for another company where I did ASR and I feel they are very compatible. Go for it!!!

Any info on Freedom Type? I only found something from 2006. Email if you like. nm

Precyse good or bad and info?
I am wanting to know about Precyse, good or bad as far as communication, supervisors, training, and platforms.  Information regarding radiology would be appreciated.  If their platform is anything like their test, I like it.
Any info on Precyse Transcription? nm

Any info on Precyse Solutions? sm
Have an interview with them.  Is their health plan affordable?  Do they pay well?  Is the interview/testing hard...it is rather lengthy from what I hear.  Thanks....Sounds good from what I hear though.
Precyse Current Info
I am an Editor for Precyse.  I have been with the company for several years now and do ot plan on going anywhere else.  Insurance is based on 40 hour workweek, meeting line quota for the time period.  Yes, a small percentage of the work is sent overseas, but that is per client preference.  We have plenty of work to go around, and new business heading our way on an almost monthyly basis right now.  QA feedback is full of hints and tips to new MTs, not just fill in the blanks.  I have seen some complaints about MTs not making enough $$ to survive at all of the transcription companies - wonder if it occurs to them that they are not very good, or not willing to go the extra mile and offer to work on a different account that has late work?  A good MT will not only succeed at Precyse, but thrive.
Can someone give info on Precyse VRs?

I have done ASRs before with Transcend and with Transcend it would have been faster retyping the report. I would like some current info on what it is like working on Precyse ASRs?  Thanks...

I need info on Oracle Transcription. I did an archive search and found nothing. Thanks in advance.nm

Any RECENT info on Webmedx or Precyse?
Yes, Webmedx is wonderful to work for, I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure there. I retired but would go back at the snap of fingers if I need to ! The admin staff is wonderful - especially the HR Director VC!
Precyse Solutions - Any Current Info?

Any current information regarding Precyse Solutions?  Good, bad, and ugly would all be appreciated.   Question line rate, ESL's, amount of work, etc.

Precyse Solutions - need current info please

Platform, pay, VR, M-F schedule?  Many thanks

Seeking recent info on Precyse Solutions.
I already know that they offshore...any other comments?
I see Precyse is hiring for new accounts. Would appreciate recent info on this company. (sm)
most of what I have found is pretty old.  Are the current employes squelched when it comes to giving out information regarding the company or are they just so busy they don't have time to mess around on the boards?   E-mail if you are concerned about being flamed or don't want to post for whatever reason.  TIA.
Been on it since May 2004
Still struggling. I have never gained back to what I was typing before.

Others have though, so it can be done.

Good luck.
STEDMAN'S 2004 PLUS -HELP

Hello, I need some help loading this program onto windows xp, MS word 2000. The dictionary demo loads and works, but I can't find the spellchecker??? Any suggestions, thanks.

I worked for them 2004 and here is sm
I was hired to MT. I had little training on the platform they used. I worked as an MT for about a week and they asked me to be a QA at $14 an hour, to also be on-call at least 1 weekend a month for stats (that is 24/7) and to take overnight calls like 1 night a week. I did that.

I had to make an out of state move. I was told to take all the time you need. I thought it would take about 5 days to get back to work and I told the MT manager that. After 2 days, she starts calling all hours of the night and day, on my cellphone, and harasses me about when I will be back. I said 5 days and I need 5 days, which was rushing it anyway.

Guess what? She told my MTs (I also lead a team) that she had fired me, but neglected to tell me. She called each and every one of them asking if I had been hateful. I am never hateful!!!! Especially with my MTs! They deserved my respect and they got it. In the end, they still owe me nearly $600 and have refused to pay me.

Now, couple that with the fact that they had a HUGE teaching hospital in Alabama. About 2 or 3 weeks after she fired me, they lost that account. Furthermore, they would hire ANYONE who had every touched a keyboard. I had to QA that mess and it was an ENORMOUS mess. A cute angina. A cute appendix. A femaloral artery. A cesar's ansection. A right hammered toe. And on and on and on. I was not allowed to complain about the lack of capable MTs, nor ask for anyone to be fired or even to give individual feedback.

I lucked out really. I landed on my feet 3 months later and it has been MUCH better since then. I heard from a gal at that big MT head hunter employment agency (you know who) that she had once had her own company and my SG MT manager was the ONLY MT she had ever had to fire for lack of knowledge and quality, and subsequent insubordination when confronted with errors she refused to correct in subsequent work.

WHAT A MESS. What you all say fits right in with what I know of them.
Sorry. It has to be me. I did exactly what you said and all it has is 2004 and 2005.
Thanks anyway.  Maybe someone will still enlighten me, but obviously it is not looking too positive so I probably won't waste my time with them.
Sorry..that's supposed to be "from 2004"
xx
Spheris took over Healthscribe in 2004.
nm
That is what they paid me in 2004 1st shift BUT
Times have changed. I'd do it. I get $16 anytime I QA for a small regional company. I take it. I make double that MTing, which is 90% of my job.
I lost an ER MT job to EMR in late 2004.
Loved that account!
When I searched, the only replies were dated 2004

Net search shows they had a job ad here in Dec. 2004. Their website is www.pdajc.com. Good

Wall Street Journal article, October 2004
A friend sent this to me. UCSF heard from an overseas MT who had not been paid that if she did not receive the $$ owed her she would publish the reports on the internet. There was a lot of followup to this which I will not go into here, but why wouldn't this sort of thing still be possible.

Later that year there was a report of a group of MTs in Bangladesh who tried to force a change in their local management by threatening to make transcribed documents public.

After that California was supposedly looking at a bill to disallow sending confidential medical reports overseas as they are not bound by HIPPA. Never heard what came of that.

I still tell these stories to anyone considering sending work abroad. I just wish some of them overseas would be stupid enough to actually pull a few stunts like that and then see how much work we lose.
People seem to forget it was Pres. Bush pushed EMR in 2004. sm
Try googling 2 words: EMR Bush.

Found this article. Hope links are allowed.
