Worked for them for about 2 months.  Just quit them recently.  They are very disorganized.  The accounts are mostly ESL doctors and bad dictators.  They do not take this into account on QA.  As an MT, you are to leave a blank and to never guess, but they don't look at things that way.  You should know 100% of the time all the time what the doctors are saying.  Unless you are a seasoned transcriptionist and, by that I mean at least 15 years extensive hard core acute care, this would not be a good choice.  I have been an MT for 8 years full time and would like to think I know what I am doing or I wouldn't be here today.
See if you can network with other MTs on the account and...
ask them some questions.

First of all, in their experience the difficulty of the account and ESL ratio. If they say it's tough, maybe it would be best to ask for another account or go elsewhere. It might just be too much for you at this stage, when there's so much still to learn.

If it's an average or easy account, stick with it and ask for samples, etc.

The poster below mentioned asking that they pay you on production. There may be a reason that they aren't--if you are an employee most states (if not all) have to pay you an hourly minimum wage. If you aren't making production yet, they are doing you a favor.

Bottom line is this--ask questions, and maybe that will help you to make a decision.

You might want to look at another service that has a lot midwestern accounts (Amphion comes to mind, though I do not work there). Those tend to be more 'whitebread' than services that have coastal accounts.

Best of luck, and hang in there!
There is always that "secret network"

that has been eluded to in another post of MTSOs being a very closen woven group who share what employees are doing (that was a post on this webiste).  In fact I was about to leave a company (although I never posted about that) and responded in general about good/bad employers and the next response I got was that I shouldn't speak ill of a company I was leaving while I was still there (my post never mentioned my transition status).  It was rather shocking that someone said that to me when no one knew of my having accepted another job and had turned notice.

Also, if you go through the entire process of testing, interviewing, turning notice, getting your new employer's paperwork and ONLY then find out about this gag order, what would most people do?  I think most people would do as another poster stated.  They don't really read the handbooks and sign them without thought.  I don't think I could sign it even if it meant I couldn't go to work for the intended company.

Run!! Don't waste your time.
Premier Office

My exact thoughts.  Very, very disorganized company.  They will tell you that you don't know what you're doing.  RUN!!!

Premier Office
Don't waste your time, honestly. Tammy is the most unorganized owner ever!!
Would that be GTN. Global Transcription Network?

This forum is to network with fellow MTs and to ask
questions.  Many times, MTs have already searched references and will ask questions here and that is alright. And, while people should attempt to look to their own references first, sometimes a question can be answered quickly and that's ok, too.  Policing of who should do what, when, and where is not really necessary on this site other than by MTStars moderating team.
Anyone ever heard of TNI, LLC - Transcription Network, Inc.?..sm
Has anyone ever heard of this company?  She applied and then received a contract but never tested or talked to anyone.  Has anyone ever worked for or had a problem with this company concerning pay or work?  Thanks in advance.
Can anyone tell me anything about Premier Office Technologies? sm
I did a search on this board but couldn't find any information except other people asking about them with no response. Is there anyone out there who can tell me anything about them? Thank you!
PREMIER OFFICE TECHNOLOGIES
I have just been offered a position with them.  When I searched this site, there were several negatives posted on 4/18/2008.  Are there any transcriptionists with a positive response today?
Premier Office Tech
I have worked with Premier Office Tech for over five years and have had nothing but a positive experience. Tammy is very organized and always looking out for her MT's, signing new accounts, etc., to make sure we always have a full plate of work. She has always been very understanding and communicative amongst her MT's. I do not understand how an account could be labeled as mostly ESL doctors. The medical field in general is comprised of physicians from all over the world and many of them have heavy accents and are not good dictators, to say the least. This is the industry standard, not an exception to be singled out to one service. Transcribing these doctors does not require long-term, extensive experience with acute care. Premier has high QA standards and thus expects the same from their MT's. Anything less would be mediocrity. It is what sets Premier apart, makes it a company proud to work with. In the past 20 years I have worked in several hospitals and for two other services including one that at one time was one of the larger services in the country, and I can say without hesitation that Premier has been the best to work for.
Mitchem Consulting Network?

any info on this company??  Thanks in advance.

Global Transcription Network
Does anyone have any information about Global Transcription Network out of Texas?  Thanks.
great place to network
I love it!
Anyone working for or have ever worked for Premier Med Net?

Recently took a job with them - out of Kentucky.  The work is great - easy docs, no ESLs, enough work to meet my needs, the owners seem really nice.  Wanted to know if anyone has worked for them or currently works for them.  Are there any pay issues or workload issues?  I just started and everything seems great, communication is a little lacking, though. - just hope it is not too good to be true.

Global Transcription Network and Precyse??

Any information would be helpful, you know all the usual questions, i.e. platform, pay, people, etc.

 Thanks

Any pros/cons on Premier Office? sm
If you would rather not post here, please feel free to privately email me. Their ad sounds tempting but would like to know the real story.  Thank you!
QT Medical
Will they hire newbies?
I wonder just how much medical
benefits are costing them, anyway, if anything.  My benefits are literally just a few dollars cheaper than if I bought my own personal comparable plan.
USA Medical
If this is the company out of Florida, I have worked for them for 18 months. They are very timely in pay, and are a very good company to work with. I highly recommend them.

QT Medical does nm

JLG and QT Medical both have some
accounts that use WP.   I have seen other companies advertise WP, but I don't remember their names.
QT Medical
All of your concerns are valid.  Four words:  Outsourcing, no money and RUN!!!!!!
NE Medical
Have you been with this company long. Can you tell me what platform they use and are they flexible regarding hours?
Medical INK?
Thanks in advance!
QT Medical
Anything new on the status of QT. It is so very quiet and little communication about anything...so different from a few years ago. Feels like BIG changes coming down the pike. Anyone know anything? Thanks.
KM Medical

Anyone know about this company out of Palmdale, CA?  I looked in search but could not find anything.  Thanks

AC Medical
AC has been no better. I have yet to recieve a paycheck on time, and my last 2 paycheck were less than HALF what they were supposed to be. They are looking into it They don't even mail the checks close to payday, its supposed to be the 1st and 15th and they aren't even mailed out until the 5th, 6th or even later. What a nightmare!
QT Medical
Another national got the main account, we lost an account this week and there is nothing left.  The overseas vendor was in the office.  Does anyone know if they are selling or done?  Direct deposit ended as well, which is a big indicator that the company is on its way out.  Owner's blog for Ruban Rouge tells a story of wealth and lavish lifestyle.  There is a regret page for the owner on Google of how many people have been destroyed in her path.  I know there are only a handful of people left but enough is enough.  I am definitely taking another job and I suggest we all do.  It is no longer the company we knew, not to mention a company at all.
The name is QT Medical. nm

Q-T Medical was, don't know about now. I think there were a few

Another Medical Must
This is a very small company out of Las Vegas, and she is a TERRIFIC person to work for.  I have worked for her now for about a month, pay is ontime, and correct, and she treats people like human beings, and respects her staff.  Totally recommend this company!  She is pro entry level.
Another Medical Must
Does anyone have any info on this company? There's nothing in the archives. Thanks!
Another Medical Must
If anyone has any information on them please let me know. I can't seem to find anything.
Thanks !
Another Medical Must
I looked up this company and came across Renee Lella, Another Medical Must, LLC.  When I looked up Renee Lella it disturbed me a lot.  Usually I just read the posting, but there is a job posting concerning this company.  When I did a Google search on the company I came across the fact that they outsource to India and the Philippines.  If I am wrong about this company, please let me know.
Another medical must
I am a new grad too and was wondering if you had heard anything about Another Medical Must yet?
Another Medical Must and NO PAY
The owner doesn't pay on time and only when it fits into her budget.  She rather outsource and keep all the money that they earn and not pay hard working Americans only a piddly amount.
JLG Medical
Does anybody work for this company?  I've been with them for about 6 months and would love to meet other MTs working with them to possibly add to my Windows messenger so I don't feel so alone LOL.
Amphion Medical.

Pros:  Good benefits.  Very flexible, no nights/weekends unless you want it in your schedule.  Always have work available.  Yes, they have radiology.  Great people & great accounts.

First Choice Medical
Has anyone heard good or bad about First Choice Medical?
Medical Transcription, Inc. in NY
In researching for jobs, I noticed this company and was wondering if anybody knew anything about it - comments please.....
medical term

"Palpation over the muscular tissues reveals mild tenderness in the bilateral paraspinals (s/l: clavatus or quivatus, and spiro-glineal) region."  I can't figure it out and am hoping someone out there will give it a shot!  The words in parentheses aren't words I know, they just sound like what he's saying.  TIA.

medical term
It could be gluteal. I thought of that too, but just can't figure out what he's saying before that if it is gluteal. S/l spiro or could be superior......don't hear left or right unfortunately. thanks very much.
You say you have the medical background, do you mean you took a course or you are just
a medical office worker? No one will give you half a chance unless you actually take a transcription course.
