It's a great place...sm

It really depends on what you are looking for in a company.  This is a very different company to work for.  For example, you don't work in pools, you are not constantly being bumped around, and there always has been plenty of work, even around holidays where everyone else is fighting for work because there is none.  I was so shocked that after Christmas there wasn't a major slow-down.  It's mostly clinic accounts, so you if your work is caught up, you don't have to work holidays.  There is no deciding which holiday you want off or which you have to work because if you just do your work, you get off.  Of course, if you want to work the holiday, there is always something to work on if you speak up.

Anyway, I have worked for just about all of the nationals.  I have been with Wordzxpressed for over a year now and plan on staying.

You know what-OSI seems like a great place to me, but - sm
i have over 10 years experience and they offered me 7 cents a line to start!!  That is quite low for someone with the experience that I have.  A starting rate of 9 cents a line would win me right over.  I wonder why there is such a difference?  Makes you wonder.  well, if something has changed since I was offered a position, within the last 6 months, let us hear about it.  TIA
TP- Great place
Great place to work, especially as an IC. You work, you get paid, just like things are supposed to work out. Support if you want/need it, no nagging.
Great place to work!
I came to Phoenix after having worked at the 2 large nationals over the past 4 years. I'm SO glad! The do not pay for spaces but the headers/footers more than make up for that. The work is steady, same account (or accounts) and never runs out. The staff are great to work with, helpful and very thoughtful. Great place to work!
Great place to work
Wonderful people, great software, sound quality excellent, benefits affordable, don't really noticed the ESLs, maybe because I'm used to them, or maybe depends on the account.  Pay average.
Great place to work
This is Documed in New Jersey that I am talking about.  I have said this before on MT Stars, but I absolutely love this company.  Been with them for almost 2 years and I can't say enough good things about them.  The management is fantastic.  The office staff is wonderful.  They are very helpful with any problems you may have.  Pay has never been late.  Hope this helps.
They are a great place to work..sm

I have been there nearly 4 years now. The staff is very professional and accommodating.  My schedule is flexible though there is a 24-hour TAT, but you can work the hours you want for the most part, at least on my account.  Pay is always on time, the platform easy, and I rarely hear from QA. So all things considered, I would certainly encourage you to give them a try!

Great place to work
I have been there for about 4 months. I love it there. Everybody there is great. I have an awesome account as well as a backup account. I plan on staying there for a long time. I don't know if they are currently hiring or not. Good luck!
Sounds like a great place, but I wish they
straightened out that I have been reading about here for months and offer some PTO the first year. Everybody needs at least a day or two for illness, child illness, or just some R and R within a year's time. Also wish they hired part time to start out. Oh well, maybe someday as it does sound like a good place to try out.
GREAT place to work

I have worked for MANY companies, and this is the best one I have come across, HANDS DOWN!!!!  You are actually treated like a PERSON.  The communication there is GREAT!  It might not be the biggest, but I believe it's the BEST!  : - )

I do...It's a great place to work...SM
Everyone is very nice and helpful and there is never a shortage of work!
All I know is, when you find a great place, let me know,
I WANNA LEAVE THE Q ALSO, JUST TOO AFRAID.   I think they made me crazy....
Honestly, MQ is a great place to work!
I did work for Spheris before they were called EDIX, and I've worked for a couple of other nationals and MQ is by far the best! The grass isn't greener on the other side, believe me. MQ is the most advanced technilogically. If you don't want to feel like you are going backwards with technology, go give MQ a try. I work out of the Dallas office and the communication with my supervisor, other supervisors, upper management, other co-workers...is EXCELLENT. I love it. I would say at least give it a try before listening and taking the advice of anyone reporting a bad experience. All offices are not the same.
Thomas Trans was a great place
to work.  I worked very closely with Dee and she always went out of her way for me.  Negatives:  No direct deposit, checks always ran late and ran out of work quite a bit.
TT is a great place to work for. It is not that hard to
reach and maintain a decent line count. Incentives are fair and not to hard to reach. ExText is the best platform, at least in my 18 year experience. Great people, tons of work and the ESL percentage is about 20-25%.
I have to agree -- truly a great place to work. sm

There is always a learning curve anywhere, of course, but wiithin just a short time, my production was the same with TT as anywhere else.  The benefits are pretty good, insurance affordable, and as an added bonus, the people there truly care about their employees.   After 30+ years of transcribing, I feel like I finally found my home.

I have worked for them for three years - great place.
Excellent pay and benefits. PTO is better than most companies. They match our 401-K. I like my account and my TL.

Feel free to e-mail me for more information.
Definitely great place to work, 2 year
anniversary coming up and I still love my job.
Ditto...It's a great place to work (nm)

Sounds like you work at a great place
That seems like a much more reasonable line rate for VR, 0.065 - correct.  A lot better than the 0.03 0 0.045 that most offer.  Would it be okay to ask who you work for?
Great place to work - give 'em a try!
:)
MDI-Maryland hires SE. Great place! Love it. nm

Yep. Me too. Nice people, great place to work!
.
Chronicle Transcripts is a great place to work

great place to work at - friendly QA - pay always on time

Great place. People are super to work sm
with and answer your questions, etc.  Pay well and always on time.  If I ever work at home again, I will go back there first.
Proscript is a great place. Nice QA people. nm

Great place to work. I've been there a year.
Exactly what do you want to know?
I definitely want to work.. but not for them. I have found great place to call home where you get..
what you are promised as far as work, pay, and the communication is excellent. MDI-FL should take a few lessons from some of these other companies and you'd have more happy employees. There are far too many team leaders and management out there trying to save face for MDI..obviously.. The rave reviews are NOT from the MTs trying to work for a living.
Haven't found a great place yet . . ., was with last company three years.
Just new this internet thing.
QT gets my vote! I love it! Gross line pay, on time, 1 account, steady work! Great place!!!! nm

Great place - ExText is easy to learn and user friendly. Good pay. Nice, COMPETENT people.
nm
See if you can network with other MTs on the account and...
ask them some questions.

First of all, in their experience the difficulty of the account and ESL ratio. If they say it's tough, maybe it would be best to ask for another account or go elsewhere. It might just be too much for you at this stage, when there's so much still to learn.

If it's an average or easy account, stick with it and ask for samples, etc.

The poster below mentioned asking that they pay you on production. There may be a reason that they aren't--if you are an employee most states (if not all) have to pay you an hourly minimum wage. If you aren't making production yet, they are doing you a favor.

Bottom line is this--ask questions, and maybe that will help you to make a decision.

You might want to look at another service that has a lot midwestern accounts (Amphion comes to mind, though I do not work there). Those tend to be more 'whitebread' than services that have coastal accounts.

Best of luck, and hang in there!
There is always that "secret network"

that has been eluded to in another post of MTSOs being a very closen woven group who share what employees are doing (that was a post on this webiste).  In fact I was about to leave a company (although I never posted about that) and responded in general about good/bad employers and the next response I got was that I shouldn't speak ill of a company I was leaving while I was still there (my post never mentioned my transition status).  It was rather shocking that someone said that to me when no one knew of my having accepted another job and had turned notice.

Also, if you go through the entire process of testing, interviewing, turning notice, getting your new employer's paperwork and ONLY then find out about this gag order, what would most people do?  I think most people would do as another poster stated.  They don't really read the handbooks and sign them without thought.  I don't think I could sign it even if it meant I couldn't go to work for the intended company.

Would that be GTN. Global Transcription Network?

This forum is to network with fellow MTs and to ask
questions.  Many times, MTs have already searched references and will ask questions here and that is alright. And, while people should attempt to look to their own references first, sometimes a question can be answered quickly and that's ok, too.  Policing of who should do what, when, and where is not really necessary on this site other than by MTStars moderating team.
Anyone ever heard of TNI, LLC - Transcription Network, Inc.?..sm
Has anyone ever heard of this company?  She applied and then received a contract but never tested or talked to anyone.  Has anyone ever worked for or had a problem with this company concerning pay or work?  Thanks in advance.
Premier Medical Network anyone??
Hi there.  Just curious if anyone else out there works for Premier Medical Network out of Kentucky?  I have been having trouble getting paid and am wondering if it is just me??  thanks.
Mitchem Consulting Network?

any info on this company??  Thanks in advance.

Global Transcription Network
Does anyone have any information about Global Transcription Network out of Texas?  Thanks.
Global Transcription Network and Precyse??

Any information would be helpful, you know all the usual questions, i.e. platform, pay, people, etc.

 Thanks

Anyone work for Global Transcription Network
I just got hired on at Global Transcription Network in Arlington, TX. Does anyone know anything about them? They seem real nice and guarantee 800 lines/day. I just dont want set myself up for disappointment if there is something I shoud know about them before I start.
Great place to work. LOTs of work and (sm)
as the other poster noted, somewhat flexible.  Make your lines and they pretty much leave you be.  Communication is great, QA is great.  The platform is extremely easy.  There's plenty of work to go around and then some.
Not me. I hope there is a special place reserved for them in a very hot place.

Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM

Great company, great boss, great account!!!nm

System great, pay good, everything great, but most managers from old Edix, problems, poor people ski
when you are out of work, you are out of luck. If you are good at brown-nosing, are tough enough to be without any self-esteem, and have maybe money coming into the household on the side in case you tick someone off, then you may succeed, for a little while.

Don't ever ask questions or have problems with anything. Don't ever have a problem. Don't think you will have any control over anything you do, either.

A few 'good' managers remained when I left, but the new ones were all from the old Edix, and were completely into numbers, cared nothing for individual MTs...if there is work, you BETTER be working. If there no work, you will hear nothing, no one will help you.
You are pathetic! I have a great life, loving family, work for a great company.
You might want to fix that.

You really don't have to shout (angry person), but yes you are wrong!!

That is my last word to you!

I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
Oracle is great. Bayscribe is wonderful great line counts.
The trainer at OTI will always answer any questions about the platform and if you have any problems they have already worked them out, so just ask. Good luck!
YOG - Lots of work, great office staff, great money. NM

Loved Alltype! Great management and great accounts.
wah  -  i miss it there!
