Old dog here, a little leary of learning a new trick.  Did you find the classes helpful?  I am talking about the ones through Webmedx.

TIA

How would that be beneficial though?
When I sign in and there is no work I do not believe they are holding the work back, in no way would it be beneficial to their company to purposefully create a backlog. In this case it is the doctors fault its not there until the weekend, but, if they are not going to do it in a timely manner I do not believe everyone else should have to step and fetch when they do decide to get around to it. I in no way feel that I am being conned by my company.
AAMT prep course
AAMT package is very helpful!
I don't know about the Webmedx course, but I took the AAMT prep course and test.....sm
and I found it gave me more confidence, but after spending all that money, I must tell you --- in almost 30 years, I have had so MANY very good employers, hospitals, clinics, services,--that told me that CMT means very litte to them, they do not pay extra for it (I know a few companies do), and that they consider things like longevity, hard work ethics, and the knowlege you show through testing and interviewing to be their deciding factor! Does WedmedX charge for their course? If it is free, I guess I would go for it!
People in mangement take classes on how to
.
They used to offer training classes in ShortHand.
Ask your supervisor if that is still offered. The trainer they had while I was there was AWESONE--don't know if she's still there or not.

BTW--I only left because I got an offer from a local hospital that I could not turn down. Overall, my experience with Webmedx was good.
It didn't take me a week to train. I sped through the classes like
wildfire. As a computer instructor, I thought the classes were very thorough for those MTs with not so great technical skills, not grueling, thorough.
