Meditech word-based?
Anyone working for company that uses this?  From my understanding they count lines according to the amount of minutes you type.   Those of you experienced on this version of Meditech, please share some insight.  Thanks.
I work in Meditech for KS and am VERY happy. I average 300+ lph. I prefer it as sm
it is like WP5.1, which I loved. To each his own.

There are also two types of Meditech, Magic with is like WP5.1 and Client, which is a Word-based program.
Oops! That s/b I prefer home based work.

small to medium company that works in Word or Word-based program - email me. nm

anyone work for Oracle - do they use Word or a Word-based program - e-mail me nm

Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm

ExText is integrated with Word. Auto correct is a part of Word.
ExText is a Word based platform. When the page opens for you to type the document it will be just like you are typing in MS Word.
Any one use DOS-based Meditech...sm
I just started with a company that still uses this program and am wondering if you can actually get your line count up or if this old program is just a pain. I am a mouse person and this is driving me up the wall, but if I can get good production maybe I need to stick it out. Thanks.
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
Which shortcut program works best with Windows-based Meditech?nm

extext versus meditech
How does ExText compare to Meditech as far was actually working?  Is ExText WORD based?  Or its own particular like MediTech?
I know of Meditech, DocuScribe, TA+ and ExText for HIM and sm
Radnet, Meditech, HBO Star and Misis for radiology.

All of those are compatible with Shorthand.
It can if it is word based
Any word based Expander can be copied over into Medware.
DVI - MS Word based

Meditech Word Client

Any opinions on this platform? MT-friendly?

Thanks!

Meditech Word Client
Thank you very much for the response!  I am due to be starting at Keystrokes soon and wondered about the platform!
chart script vs extext vs meditech
Could someone list out the similarities/differences, pros and cons… Ease of working on them, frustrating parts of each, which you think is friendliest..
THANKS
But I thought that was not Word-based. Is it? nm

Is Emdat word-based?
nm
Is that a Word-based platform?
I just applied for that position and they e-mailed me with some questions.
Word based platform
Are there any GOOD companiesthat work on a Word-based platform?
they run off a word-based platform
it's not very stream-lined and kinda klunky, but efficient enough.  I know they've made recent updates to make it run a little faster, but there were times when i would spent two to three minutes after filling out the screen waiting for my work screen to appear.
What is Iscriptor (Word based??) and ... NM
xxxx
No, it's not Word based at all, totally different...nm
xx
Wrong! This is for one of four new accounts! Two are ExText, one is Meditech and two are Chartscr
Keystrokes is constantly advertising because of new accounts and accounts that want more from us, not to replace people or for bad accounts.

Since the beginning of the year, we have added over 20 new accounts and have over 20 more starting in the next month to two months.

I wouldn't be so quick to cut down Meditech either. Some people (me in particular) really like it. Once you are used to it, it is easy to work in, easy to get lines and easy to use expanders.

Scared off? You should be afraid of companies that are losing accounts, not getting accounts!
Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm
.
It's not word based - keystroke combos are different. NM
xx
Sounds great! Is it Word-based?
I am totally clueless about it!
yes, it is word based. And very user friendly. IMO.
nm.
It's Rapid Text-a Word-based
program. It has most of the templates built in. Very user friendly. Pretty much, if you can type in Word, you can use this platform.
MT-World Transcription - which is word-based. nm

Is the platform good? Word-based? Is the new
position still recruiting? Just passed the written and doing the transcription next..
?If it's not Word-based, it shares a lot of the same commands..sm
So whatever. Ctrl-C, V, X, etc. Agree it can be slow but has gotten better. By far not the best I've used, but also not the worst. Almost last, though. ShortHand is crap, but you can use IT. Good luck.
Word based expanders work with Merit
Hope that helps
Word-based, expander included, easy to use...NM
NM
iType is word based, iText Expander SM...
is included in the program and it works great for me. They were able to import my old PRD files right into it. Cost zero. You do need your own spellchecker. Pretty good program, reasonably MT friendly.
Do they use MT-World software? Is it Word based? Easy? Productive? Thx. nm
s
It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
What in your experience is the most efficient Word-based radiology platform to work on? nm

EXText for Word
What companies use EXText for Word and Transnet?
extext/word
No, I used to work for OSi and they were good to work for, just didn't pay enough. I was offered a job with Trans-Tech, who pay much better, but then I ended up taking another offer.
We use EXText Word
expanders and normals, which is the only way to make it anymore in this business.
ExText word
Don't know what company you work for or if my short-cuts would apply, but I was taught very specific short-cut navigation keys, plus I can use my regular expanders/short-cuts within speech text as needed. Did you get a tutorial/training?
extext word/transnet
OSi and Trans-Tech use that platform.
Extext is basically like typing in Word.
Very easy. My favorite platform of any I have used.
Extext word speech question

I am a new MT, and I am greatful for my new opportunity, but I was told being a new MT means I have to produce like the experienced MTs and show what I can do.   I am working on Extext word speech program, and it seems like no one has an answer about using short cutkeys to produce quicker.  Is there any shortcut keys to use for this program and if so where are they?  Is there a shortcut key for using the numbering without going to the toolbar? any functions to move spaces quicker without clicking the mouse, etc.

I really want to do well.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!!!!!!!

I prefer to be off a day during the week so I prefer a Tues-Sat schedule. nm
