Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm

small to medium company that works in Word or Word-based program - email me. nm
nm
anyone work for Oracle - do they use Word or a Word-based program - e-mail me nm
nm
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
Word Autocorrect to Emdat InScribe
You can use a tool that Emdat has written to convert your Word Autocorrect to InScribe. It can be downloaded from http://www.emdat.com/software, under Support. Also, feel free to call the helpdesk with such questions as well at 630-743-0500.
It can if it is word based
Any word based Expander can be copied over into Medware.
DVI - MS Word based
nm
But I thought that was not Word-based. Is it? nm

Is that a Word-based platform?
I just applied for that position and they e-mailed me with some questions.
Meditech word-based?
Anyone working for company that uses this?  From my understanding they count lines according to the amount of minutes you type.   Those of you experienced on this version of Meditech, please share some insight.  Thanks.
Word based platform
Are there any GOOD companiesthat work on a Word-based platform?
they run off a word-based platform
it's not very stream-lined and kinda klunky, but efficient enough.  I know they've made recent updates to make it run a little faster, but there were times when i would spent two to three minutes after filling out the screen waiting for my work screen to appear.
What is Iscriptor (Word based??) and ... NM
xxxx
No, it's not Word based at all, totally different...nm
xx
Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm
.
It's not word based - keystroke combos are different. NM

Sounds great! Is it Word-based?
I am totally clueless about it!
yes, it is word based. And very user friendly. IMO.
nm.
It's Rapid Text-a Word-based
program. It has most of the templates built in. Very user friendly. Pretty much, if you can type in Word, you can use this platform.
MT-World Transcription - which is word-based. nm

Is the platform good? Word-based? Is the new
position still recruiting? Just passed the written and doing the transcription next..
?If it's not Word-based, it shares a lot of the same commands..sm
So whatever. Ctrl-C, V, X, etc. Agree it can be slow but has gotten better. By far not the best I've used, but also not the worst. Almost last, though. ShortHand is crap, but you can use IT. Good luck.
Word based expanders work with Merit
Hope that helps
Word-based, expander included, easy to use...NM
NM
iType is word based, iText Expander SM...
is included in the program and it works great for me. They were able to import my old PRD files right into it. Cost zero. You do need your own spellchecker. Pretty good program, reasonably MT friendly.
Do they use MT-World software? Is it Word based? Easy? Productive? Thx. nm
s
It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
What in your experience is the most efficient Word-based radiology platform to work on? nm

RadNet
Similar. ExText is Word based. I prefer it to Meditech for ease of use.nm

Is Apex an internet word-based platform? Havent heard of it...
x
Neither. You can copy into Word but cannot copy back into Emdat.

o

It does work, you do not need to "make" it work.. it works in all word based programs.
x
Yes, it's totally word based, but it's also totally slow.
I haven't had a very good experience using dictaphone EXText. I wouldn't recommend anyone work on this platform. I don't know how anyone can say this is a very productive platform in any way whatsoever. Actually, it is the worst I've ever worked on. I like Bayscribe, DocQscribe, and many others over this setup.
Hired by Emdat or using Emdat software?
I was of the impression that Emdat was software, not a transcription company. Were you hired by Emdat to do transcription for Emdat customers? Or is the company for whom you work just using the Emdat software? Thank you.
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
ExText is integrated with Word. Auto correct is a part of Word.
ExText is a Word based platform. When the page opens for you to type the document it will be just like you are typing in MS Word.
Just wanna work in Word - need company that works in WORD! nm

You use your own expander. Overall I feel it is user friendly and I like it.
Word for Word Medical Transcription
Pros and cons please.
In his ad, he's asking for Word Perfect, not Word, if that matters. nm

Now I wish they would just call me back......no word no word and
What is up with these MT companies that advertise. They don't even answer. I have a great resume, tons of experience. I'm confused.
word for word company
does anyone know about word for word transcription company?  how are they to work for, platform?  thanks in advance!
I was told I could use word pad since I don't have word

I have 1 computer to speak of that I did not buy personally.  the company has their own platform and their own computer to be rented.  I would not be typing in word.  I have never had a problem testing this way before.  I am not saying certified is better.  I was explaining my circumstance.  I have my own personal computer ordered for my use and I wanted to test fast without waiting. geez.

Emdat
I've never used Netcare, but Emdat is great!  Easy to learn, easy to use.  I honestly have no complaints about it.
emdat
oh thank God! I thought it was just me. I worked for a half-day or so on a trial basis for a company using this platform several years ago and i never got how it could NOT stink!! I though it was because they send IMs every two seconds about the weather........but I spent more time on that platform trying to get it to work than I ever did transcribing anything.
Im so glad it was not just me. Emdat - never, ever again.
7 cpl on Emdat
In defense of Allegiant, this is without a doubt the PERFECT job for me. I work whenever I feel like it, nobody bothers me, and I'm only obligated to transcribe 500 lines in 24 hours.

I worked for a large company and made 10 cpl. I had constant interruptions with emails and IMs from an idiot supervisor. I had to research new drug names and instruments and procedure names on just about every report. I was tickled if I transcribed 150 lph. I worked for a smaller company and made 9 cpl and spent half my time with my foot on the backup pedal trying to understand ESLs. By the time my shift was over my head was splitting. I work for Allegiant, make 7 cpl and average 250 lph without breaking a sweat. Not too shabby. JMHO.
What is Emdat? (sm)
Please, what is Emdat?  Also are you limited to transcribing 500 lines per day or can you do as much as you want?  Thanks.
7 cpl on EMDAT

We pay significantly more than that at Lee Perfect.  If you have 5+ yrs exp in a clinical/hospital setting that is current/recent.  I would love to see your resume!!!!

Not a fan of EMDAT

I had the same problem.  I cannot stand typing using the F1 function keys.  I would call technical support where you purchased the foot pedal from and tell them your problems.  If the foot pedal does not work on your computer then get your money back.  I cannot stand EMDAT.

Former EMDAT user.

EMDAT
Lee Perfect out of Chicago and Allegiant out of Indiana use EMDAT religiously.  Apply there.  They are ALWAYS hiring!!!!!!!!!!!!
