It is a family owned company and
Yes, every report is put on hold until it is released from QA. I guess they go over it,or just release it, I do not know, but every report that is transcribed must be put on QA hold/sent to QA even if no blanks are in it.
Definitely not related. MW is owned by 1 family. nm

No idea of pay, but from their website, they seem to be Phillipine owned, like SPI/Cymed?? And
s
Isnt their family medical insurance kind of high. I think that is
why I passed on them previously and they only wanted to pay 7.5 cpl for 12 years of experience.
Isn't it ironic that "Integrity" would a part of this company's name?? nm
xx
Is this company off-shore owned? sm
I will bet this company is off-shore owned.  My experience has been these companies expect US workers to work like off-shore workers.  They think we are so grateful to have a job, any job, that they can walk all over us and we will take it, just like they do to their countrymen.  US workers who go along with this kind of illegal abuse, deserve what they are getting.  Make MT the job you want it to be, don't accept just anything.  Pick and choose the companies you work for, find out if they are off-shore owned with the token US front men.  Find the kind of accts you want to do and at a price that is agreeable to you.  Testing gets easier every time you do it.   Get proactive.  This will take time, don't rush yourself and don't quit one job until you have another up and in place.
Still a French owned company .
I don't shop at Target for the same reason.
The company is owned by the person who
I don't know much about the company itself, but that would be enough for me not to look at it.  I also don't think the pay is too great, 7-8 cpl.
This is an Indian-owned and run company and they do
outsource. From what I've heard pay is also on the low side.
not a major company - woman owned
around 100 employees but not positive
My experience with quality/quantity with an Indian owned company

I worked for an offshore owned company where it was all about quantity.  Company even kept a HORRIBLE MT just because she cranked out the lines.  Didn't matter her quality was crap and was considered a joke by middle managment.  India did most typing but with US edit.  Typists changed regularly so it wasn't like they learned to do better.  Quality would improve slightly and then would notice, after couple of months, that quality was crap again so we knew we were dealing with a new batch of typists. Even so, the push was always on to get the jobs off US edit and send Indian work straight to client.  Of course, the clients never knew they were not getting US editing anymore, as they got no price reduction when they no longer had that level of work being done on their jobs.  The problem is the facilities accept the crap work so why should the companies change.  It took a while but I finally found a US owned company where quality matters.  Now one of the first questions I would ask a prospective employer is if they are US owned.

I think the owner of MT Daily owned a transcription company which was sold SM
to an Indian company, but I may be wrong.
Is it true Dictaphone is now owned by Nuance (an Indian company)? (sm)

that explains why the downhill slide.

Just like "American" automobiles
About the only thing American about most of the supposedly American car companies these days is the CEO's address. I think if you were to check, Hyundai and Toyota probably manufacture as many vehicles here as Ford, Chevy, or GM, but we're back to the point where if you drive a Cambry made in Kentucky or a Sonata built in Alabama, you get taunts for not driving American. I guess with globalization, US Made simply applies to where the CEO's paycheck is mailed (before being forwarded to where he's cavorting).
Is that individual or family and what is the company?
nm
Lots of Indian workers use "American"-sounding

WOULD LIKE TO FIND A COMPANY THAT HAS DECENT FAMILY INS. BENEFITS AND PTO
I have been working in-house at a hospital and would like to go home to work, but I am having a hard time finding a company out there that offers decent insurance benefits and PTO.. Any ideas are appreciated..
family plan insurance - which company has the best prices? sm
pathetic and true -- I'm basing my decisions on that :(  i just can't spend 1200 a month on insurance.  HELLLP.
Yes, I think you should work for that offshoring company, go for it!. Feeding your family ist the m
Nobody is going to pay your bills and put up a monument for you because you refused to work for an offshoring company!
what kind of company
Absolutely and since like personalities mingle you can basically come to your own conclusion about what kind of company considers a person like sheri to RECRUIT??? Either they are pretty desperate or pretty ignorant, well probably both and dont forget they dont ever ever pay on time or never pay at all. dont work for them or their subs. Before you start ask the company if they sub for proveros or you WILL be sorry. ...
Where did you find that kind of company?
Please do tell, need to move on myself.
What kind of a behind-the-times company is this
that thinks they have to train you in person anyway?! LOL.
1 company, kind of 2 divisions, hourly and SM
as far as how much, I'm sure you realize that is something that has to be negotiated and isn't the same for each employee.  I am not even going to give a range because I don't know if the 2 sides pay the same or not.
I think it's actually a bit more ironic than that
As the Indian economy has grown with offshoring, so has the price tag attached to the workers. While they have an enormous population, they do not necessarily have an enormous educated population...percentage-wise, it's probably equivalent to ours. So now, much like here, the shortage of skilled workers has forced them to pay more for those workers. And, as we have already painfully learned, in the corporate world, the only loyalty is to the bottom line. Consequently, the Indian firms are forced to look for some place to get their work done cheaper, which now is the Philippines. The same things that made India appealing to American multinationals (cheap labor, English speaking) is also present in the Philippines, thanks to the long-term presence of the American Naval bases. If there is a bright side, it's that the work is getting at least geographically closer to our shores again, although admittedly by the time it gets back here, I'm afraid the line is going to make 7 c/l seem like a fortune.
Well, that's ironic
As I'm a pagan, so your Bible analogy made me LOL, thanks!

If these boards have no power, why is GP being sued and why are so many coming unhinged at the thought of it?

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Internet - kind of a DQS-like program. Great company. nm
x
Kind of risky to praise the company you work for
because somebody who must have gotten burned at some job will jump on and announce that no company can be that good, so we must be lying! That we're really managers or recruiters.

< Sigh >
Is Addendum the name of a company? Do they have a website?

Thanks can I google the company and get their website?
X
Isn't it ironic that you're the only

and it's not a bank thing.  Don't forget it's done in INDIA.  2 p.m. there is already our following day   You must be very special and I hope they pay your well to come and post what a great company they are.  Great is not the word I'd use.

It depends on who is offering it, and what kind of work is available. If you posted the company sm
name, we could give more helpful advice.
from now on i'll go straight to the company website. sm
i didn't realize a simple question would stir up some negative comments.  i find the comment about the IQ very insulting and unnecessary.
How ironic!! Game just ended. Sox won.
c
Ironic since the people running it really do SM
have connections with different companies. Just don't feel like knocking themselves out. I can understand that.

I had same airhead test me. Remember one question as is it halter monitor or Holter monitor?. I am not making that up. Pathetic.
Hope you get paid soon - ironic how they

they boast about how the person in charge of this venture is sooo reputuable and then have have this drastic need to hair a lot of MTs on a venture that is still up in the air posted by the VP of the company (dependent on whether or not they GET the number of MTs to commit to their new unsecured Dictiphone venture)??

things that make you go hmmm?  Sounds like a lot of of wind being passed...

Hope you get your check sooner rather than later.  Only time this happened to me, I quit working the *day* payment was supposed to be received, wanted a few weeks, got the check and let them know I wasn't into being played and did no further work.  No pay..no production.  Period.

Larry is their quasi-retired delivery person...see link...had to have been posted by someone from MS.

Speaking of Dell, isn't it ironic that s/m

the first time you call to place an order, you speak with a pleasant, articulate American, but any call after that goes straight to India?

The last time I called Dell, there was such a communication breakdown that I demanded to speak with an American.

Ironic though that upper management's SM

salary, perks and bonuses make yours look *cheesy* also.

Then you need to be professional, give a company website than can be checked out sm
and let people apply there.  Why in the world would you expect people to get their personal info to you, if you are less than professional yourself.  I certainly would not, especially after your post here.
I was told that the company is fined and they take the compalints off their website
after being paid. My husband was working for a plumbing company that had a lot of negative reports (he dosen't work for them anymore thank god) and all they had to do was pay $5,000 to get the complaints taken off. We checked the BBB site again and low and behold there is not one bad complaint against them. I didn't know you could buy the BBB. How does that protect the consumer?
You are pathetic! I have a great life, loving family, work for a great company.
You might want to fix that.

You really don't have to shout (angry person), but yes you are wrong!!

That is my last word to you!

I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
ironic, since OP specifically explained about board answers.
nm
The ad says they treat MTs like family ... what a family that must be! LOL nm

You should check out the Nuance website and the Focus website
Nuance is Dictaphone and since a lot of use Dictaphone equipment, you can say we all have something to do with this. If you are surprised at the website above, look at the US website of nuance. Just IMHO and try to get both sides of the corporation.
She didn't say she didn't have a family. A family isn't just kids. sm

She also said she didn't have kids. Why do you think you're so much better  BECAUSE you have kids?  I am so sick of that attitude.  I don't have kids, never wanted them, but have been discriminated against in jobs because of it.  Everyone figured since I had no kids I could work all the time.  I said NO!  Just because I don't have kids doesn't mean I don't have a life or that my life is not important.

BTW I work part time too.

many owned
they own many...they acquired 24 companies ...

they own dictaphone, escription, dragon, scan soft...

they are huge...
You do know what you just owned up to, right?
You said you went over someone's else's medical records. I could have no contact doing business with my husband's medical office until he put it in writing. When my elderly aunt needed assistance, unable to talk 1:1 with her medical office. I went to her doctor's office, asked them just to listen to me, make notes of what I was saying and they could take it from there to coordinate care for her and that was what was done. I did not have her permission in writing so I as her niece could not do, neither can I take care of my next of kin, that being my husband, without written permission.
MDI in FL is owned by Transcend
.
Employee Owned
Yes, it is absolutely true that they are employee owned, I have worked for them and their office is about 5 miles from me. Truth be told, this is a small company that continues to struggle with a huge turnover and lack of management. Those who have been there for years (people not in the transcription department) have paid dearly for the decline in their stock value over the past several years; it's quite sad.
And you expect us to believe you know anything about TT? First off, it is not owned by a man,
but rather it is owned by two people. Secondly, they have never, not once, cheated me. I know because I checked extensively every single day when I started and *still* check randomly because I have had such bad experienced elsewhere.

The people are nice, they treat me well, the workload is steady, the work is pretty good. Is it perfect? Of course not. It is, though, the best job I have had in 14 years of doing MT'ing at home.

You clearly have some sort of personal problem with Transtech. Go away and wallow in your own misery.
They are Indian owned
Do a search on the Company Board. Many negatives and they are based on India. Can they even post job ads on this board?
Once foreign owned, always foreign owned.
