I total agree that poverty of material items cannot compare to poverty of the soul. It would have cost her (or him) NOTHING to get the same message across in kind way. What steps on my corns is that s/he thinks she can judge you and yet has not walked in your shoes. Bottom line is I feel sorry for the Grinch. Anybody who treats anyone in the manner she treated you deserves pity. She cannot be very happy. Don't let her (or maybe it's a him, whatever); sounds like s/he has power issues of her own that are getting in the way of extending a hand of friendship and compassion. Pay her no mind.
