Very affordable for individual, high for families, sm

but I think all insurance is high for families. 6 holidays, a few days PTO until you've been there over 6 years. (and they keep changing the PTO yearly).

Cost of DeVenture's health insurance for families, anyone??
Considering applying, but in the past, the cost was just too high. TIA
Say "Get Over It" to the auto workers and their families who are getting pink slips. sm

How do you think you would feel if you spent  most of your adult life working for one of these companies promising you security if you stayed with them.

MDI-FL. Last time I checked their medical insurance for families was expensive. Has that changed or
is it supposed to. I know at one point a recruiter told me they were working on making it more affordable but I never heard anything more. That is a big factor for me. I need affordable insurance for my family. Thanks for any input.
I'm high level 4, all acute care, high ESL, many years exp. and highest QA grades...
In case you are wondering...All acute care, all specialties. I request new accounts, and yet they all run out of work...not just during usual slow periods...
I'm original poster and a high level 4 as well with high ESL accts, which I've always had...sm
My accts (10+) for the previous 12 years were all in the LA area. I consider ESL at Webmedx easy, even though my WebmedX accts are supposed to be high ESL. ALL of my STMs accounts are low on work--quite low. I've added more accounts. Not helpful if all are low in work. My supervisor at MQ was more helpful than my Webmedx STM.
They are not MT, but general transcription. Pay not very high. at least not as high as MT work.x

Very affordable!

I have found that Webmedx's insurance is very affordable, more so than a lot of the other MTSOs out there.

okay but is it affordable? for 2?nm

Affordable benefits
Are the benefits affordable?
affordable insurance

I work in a hospital which is merging and our department will be outsourced.  I am looking for a job with afforable insurance.  I would have a new job today if not for the cost of family insurance, over $400 every two weeks.  I've only worked in hospitals were insurance is usually around $100 per pay period for the family so $400 came as a huge shock to me.  My husband as some pre-existing conditions so getting a personal policy is out of the question.  Anybody know of a company with afforable family insurance?

Benefits are very affordable...sm
Benefits are under 200 biweekly for me, and that includes family gold plan, dental plan, vision plan, and life insurance for my husband and kids.  As well, they provide long and short-term disability, 401K, an some other stuff I don't remember.
Depends on what you consider affordable.
It is expensive, but far less than what you would pay if you went it on your own. Employer picks up at least half the tab, possibly more. I know I would pay around $1200-1500 for my family on my own and right now for a family of 6 I pay a little over $550, but that's pretax so actually it reduces down to the equivalent cost to me of about $460 net. For 6 people, I can't complain.

Also, the insurance is pretty good in my opinion. The dental insurance is awesome and under $30 a pay period for entire family (no pre-pay or deductibles) and everyone in my area takes both the dental and the medical.

Not sure on what you mean by 1 or 10 kids. Aren't most insurances this way? They cover yourself or yourself and spouse or yourself, spouse and children. Haven't seen one where each additional child causes the premium to rise.

You have to type 150 lines an hour to qualify, which is pretty easy if you know anything about MT'ing. Have never ever gotten close to that low amount except when first training, even with multiple unknown accounts once in a while. Haven't heard of the 10,000 lines per pay period before.
he's not looking for individual MTs
He's looking for a group that collectively can handle 5000/day.
Does DSG have affordable health benefits? SM
Any idea on the cost of this?  Thanks, :-)
What is Medware's pay range and is the ins. affordable? nm

You will not find any affordable family

about the same and very expensive.  Just the insurance market I guess, my husband's company has it available and with both of our incomes it is a large portion of our monthly expenses. Just my 2c, but I have asked every company I have ever interviewed with and today, family insurance rates are just unaffordabe everywhere.

They didnt worry that it would be affordable for the MTs.
you gotta be kidding, lol
Nope, not affordable. At least not when I left. nm
nm
Still not affordable but better than my husband's so we have no choice. sm
His company is $1410 for a family of 4 and none of us have any illnesses or surgeries. Highway robbery.

We pay $710 a month at Keystrokes. Still high but half.
Yes, Webmedx does have very affordable insurance. sm
I pay 145 a pay period for myself and husband for the gold type insurance (which is the best we can get).
How much is the insurance, is it good, affordable?
I really need insurance and don't want to apply if it is not affordable.
Does the company you work for have affordable (sm
health insurance?   Can you share the name of the company on here or via e-mail? TIA.
affordable health coverage

Could anyone one give the names of companies they work for with good health and dental coverage (individual plans) at an afforadable cost?  Any info given is appreciated.  I consider affordable as not too much more than $100 per month---80/20 plans okay, but prefer 100% coverage plans if they are out there with reasonable deductibles.  I know this is a tall order!  It can also be a noncompany plan, if anyone knows of a great insurance company plan outside of the job.  I am 45 and in good health, just borderline hypertensive (if there is such a thing---although it does make my rate go up).

Thanks!

companies with affordable benefits
Does anyone know any companies that are hiring that have affordable insurance for family?  I need to get a position with insurance.  Thank you for any replies.
I have the individual coverage
and it's about $17 per week.  United Healthcare, good plan.  250 deductable.  I wish I could help you more but I know my regular doctor is on the plan so I am quite happy with the coverage.  Hope that helps.
It's not so much the school, it's the individual.

CUT-THROAT INDIVIDUAL
I know who you are too, and what goes around comes around!
What a pathetic individual

I know what you're alluding to, even though you are too much of a coward to say it outright.  If you can't say anything nice, or heaven forbid be supportive of this individual, then just keep it to yourself.

I, too, work for OSi and have for a few years.  It's bad enough that you come on here and trash the company, now you're making personal attacks?!  Go crawl back into your hole!

Oh yes they can! It depends on the individual sm
QA person, of course. There certainly are some with very strange ideas on the interpretation of transcribed work (they don't take time to read the entire report to get the proper context) and some with vendettas. There are rotten apples everywhere.
Is Medware's health insurance affordable?

I am looking for either family coverage or just husband and wife coverage.  Any idea of how much their insurance costs?  I remember a while back they had their rates listed on their website and they seemed very reasonable.

Can anyone give me an estimate on how much they pay for their health insurance for family.  This would be for the PPO insurance, as I do not reside in Florida.

Thanks guys!!!

Looking for a company with affordable health insurance.
Anybody work for Proscript or DSG, can you tell me how much you pay for husband and wife coverage?  Thanks so much.
Is WEBMEDX's health insurance affordable?
Can anyone tell me more about their benefits, including the health insurance?  Thanks so much.
TransTech - is their insurance affordable? How much do they contribute? sm
For family coverage, about how much is the monthly premium?  Do they pay well?  Do you have to work a set schedule or can you get your lines in within a 24-hour window?  Thanks!
I believe they have several to choose from - affordable and decent coverage, IMO
nm
Axolotl has great affordable insurance!
Their rates are better than any MT company that I know of.
How can you know for a fact how much another individual is capable of doing? sm

I have tried to ignore your constant negativity, and I do feel sorry for you because you must have an unhappy life to want to always rain on everyone else, but enough is enough.

I average 300-350 lines an hour, at 11 cpl that equals over $33/hour.   I have been an MT for over 30 years now, and have been blessed with a natural ability for speed and spelling, and, although there are new things to learn every day, I do not have to spend the majority of my work day looking up things.

I am not trying to be adversarial, and it makes no difference to me what you believe.  I cannot believe I even got sucked this far into defending myself against some stranger.   I wish you well, and hope you have a job that you enjoy as much as I do mine.

Merry Christmas :)

I have individual coverage and I pay less than $100 per month. They pay
the rest. I think it's definitely more for family coverage and I am not really sure what those rates are. I would just call and ask them. They're really nice and helpful.
I have BCBS individual policies for myself and
my last home-living son. When all my children were still at home, they had individual policies that they could take with them.

It was cheaper for me to do buy each of us an individual policy and know that I can keep us insured 100% of the time regardless of whether I changed jobs or not.

The plan I chose for ours has a $5000 major medical deductible but we have not ever had to use hospitalization and I can pay out $5000 one way or another. Office visits are covered 100%. That was my main concern as I wanted the routine items covered. I can handle facing the other big ticket items. I also wanted the lowest premium possible. It was a great bargain for us.

Reports for any individual company. nm

Is that individual or family and what is the company?
nm
This is why I prefer group over individual..

The bottom line is that.. When you have group insurance, you have a set rate, along with everyone else, regardless of your health insurance..and when it renews each year, it will only go up based on the group's rate, nothing to do with your personal health history and it is generally better benefits overall. Now, you have a private policy, can only afford one with a huge deductible (major medical)..well, during the year, you had an emergency surgery, heart attack..whatever.. Well, first off you have that preminum which is high, then you have all of that deductible to meet, upwards of $5000..THEN, your shocked at renewal time that they jacked up your preminum about $200 a month..and then your stuck..You can pay that outrageous amount or go without insurance because another private insurance wont touch you will all of your medical claims in the past 10 years. If they do touch you, it won't be cheap. So, your bad to square one.. crappy insurance at a bad price or signing up with a company for okay rates but better insurance.

I thought I was smart not keeping my group insurance through work because it was $400 a month (deductible $1000 etc..) so I went and got myself a family plan through private insurance for ONLY $196 a month.. Yes, then I had a $5000 deductible and come to find out my prescription benefits were only 50% instead of the $10-40 I had been paying. One of my son's prescription cost us $100 a month with that great insurance, and it would have only been $25 on my old group policy. Yes, I was saving a lot of money..NOT. I did check into my private insurance to get a policy similar to my group one.. and imagine that.. they wanted over $1000 a month for decent insurance. So, no thanks. I'll stay with group..It's worth it in the long run.

Are you looking for individual or family coverage?

A flyer for individual docs:
*If you're like most doctors, you never read dictated medical reports, anyway! Yours, or anyone else's! So why pay through the nose for something you'll never look at?*

*At AchooQuist, we understand the needs of busy docs like you.... men and women who laugh in the face of malpractice suits. That is why we've tailored our MT services to suit your busy, careless, greedy lifestyle.*

*When you joint the AchooQuist team, you'll pay what YOU want. (next-to-nothing). And you'll get exactly what you pay for.*

*We GUARANTEE it.*
Maybe you could solicit work from individual
and give them a good rate for paying CASH. Then no one could prove who you were working for.
Anybody work for TransHealth as an employee and how do you like it? Is the insurance affordable?

Anyone know of a GOOD company with affordable health insurance?

Hi.  I am a 14+ year MT.  I love the company I am with but they offer NO benefits whatsoever.  Does anyone know of a company that is looking for a dependable MT that offers reasonably priced health insurance and would give at least 9-1/2 cents a line (which is what I am getting now). Any help would be greatly appreciated.  THANK YOU!

I have single coverage - affordable - but don't know about family. Call them.
nm
No, Diskriter is owned by an individual - they have never been linked to MQ - never will -
never ever ever ever never - if they ever did join with MQ, I would quit in a heartbeat and never go back to the field of transcription.
Their individual insurance is $52 a mo and their dental and vision
run it up to about $60 a month. If you leave, you also get to Cobra the dental and vision together at $30 a month. I know because I left and went back. Nice folks.
Can anybody recommend where to get individual insurance affordably sm
for self-employed MTs that doesn't exclude pre-existing conditions?  My husband just lost his job and we haven't received the COBRA papers yet and it has been over a month.  I have health problems and really cannot afford to be without insurance so I thought I would ask if anybody here knows of good reasonable insurance for the self-employed but more importantly one that actually will cover something!  Thanks so much!
