Why? Sometimes you have to repeat it

Posted By: igetit on 2008-12-28
In Reply to: I don't work for TTS, I don't know anyone who works for TTS.... - But Geezzzzzz......

before it sinks in. I don't even know what TTS is, but if there were enough similar posts, you're darn right I'd avoid them. Plus, if other MT's read the repeated posts, they may chime in. This is how class-action suits are filed. All you have to do is look up Soft Scrit to see all the nasty postings from many, many different people. And those postings are TRUE too!

This is sounding like a repeat, repeat
of the sky is falling, better gather up all the acorns and store them away. Be afraid, socialist country, oh now I am shivering in my boots. Not.
Well, as a single mom, do not, I repeat do not,
You will be soooorrrrrrryyyyyy. I guarantee it. There are too many other GOOD jobs out there, keep looking and good luck.
Don't know what is happening with my brief post below, so will repeat. SM
If most of the drafts you get are truly all that good now, then it sounds like you won't even be needed in the not too distant future. Pretty soon those drafts won't need editing. What then?
Repeat, never a problem with my checks
I've never had a problem with PTO, sick leave, vacation pay, or anything else. I also don't have trouble understanding the pay sheets.
If this was repeat occurance, surely you kept last

It has been mentioned on here before but I will repeat because it is true. Sometimes the "fit
either for the company or the MT. What is an dream job for one person is a nightmare job for another person.

I work for a company that is talked about here frequently, both good and bad, and it is hard for me to believe that the bad posts are about the same company that I work for.

I received great training, great feedback, have steady work, like my supervisor, get paid well and on time, etc.

My friend, whom I have worked with at several companies, going back 15 years starting at the same hospital, felt that the SAME supervisor was horrible, the SAME account was terrible and she hated it.

Maybe you are reading into things wrong, maybe not. Either way, it does not sound like you liked the company and/or they did not like you.

One way to avoid this, and it sounds so trite without my meaning to, is to go with your gut instinct and not start with a company that you do not click with.

Maybe they were looking to unload a difficult doctor on you and based on things that you told them, they thought you could handle him/her. Then something happened that made them re-evaluate their opinion of you and/or your work. Maybe it had nothing to do with this doctor, but they were testing the waters to see if you were a team player or to see if you could take a challenge.

All you can do is learn from this and then leave it behind you. Good luck on finding the perfect company. It makes the world of difference when you finally find your home!
No work at MDI, I repeat, No work at MDI!!!
I have just read the below post and I do not want to start any trouble, but it is true, there is no work at MDI.  I have been at MDI for 1 year now and the work is drying up.  I now have to start looking for other employment because I feel they have overhired or have lost some major accounts.  I have contacted my supervisor and I am told try to log on in the evenings or weekends more.  I did, but the work is slim to none.  If anyone is thinking about this company, please save yourself and not come aboard.
