You will NOT stop off-shoring any more than outsourcing was stopped.
Transcription is a COST. And in this global economy, getting the cost as low as you can plays a major role. MTs didn't do this. No more than people who buy from Dell or use a credit card did it.
There is an option. NO ONE has to work for 7-8 cpl. Go get a job somewhere else. Somewhere that won't outsource you, downsize you, globally economize you.
OR become an MT who knows how to navigate the ever-muddied waters and name your rate and stay busy. It DOES happen :)
