FT = 6000 lines a week. nm
x
6000 lines per pay period (2-weeks) and 20 hours per week that is
Just clarifying.
First, what kind of time frame are we talkin? 6000 lines in a week?

I ask because 6 cpl is horrible and if they expect you to produce 12,000 lines in a week in order to get 9 cpl, well that's just nuts.

But I digress, you original question was should you continue to work when you do not have access to your line count --> NO!  And the fact that you are getting the run around should be sending up red flags.

Now you couple that with the 6 cpl and I would have to say this place you work at sucks!

6000 a week for FT - nm
x
minimum 5000/week
I do 6000, about 1200 per day.
5000 lines?
Just saw a job posted and they wanted 5000 lines a day. Seems humanly impossible to me. Does this make sense to anyone?
5000 lines
I thought it was a typo and responded that I would need at least 1000 lines per day (thought it was 500) and he told me to go back and check the add, which I did. 5000!!!???

It is the 2nd add in the job postings.

Will e-mail him again and double-check. Maybe he means per week?!

Thanks for the response.
5000 lines
Duh! Now I do feel stupid!

Thanks for clarifying. Guess I need to practice actually READING completely!

Who can transcribe 5000 lines/day?

I have read on here that some of you can transcribe 300 or more lines per hour, which means it would take you around 16 hours a day!! I do not think there is anyone out there that can transcribe 5000 lines a day. He either means 500/day or 5000/week I assume.

Has anyone ever heard of this company or know who this Timothy Olyphant is? What do you think of this job offer? It says transcription project.

I would appreciate any info and your opinions. Thanks

I could certainly contract 5000 lines/day out to
Just because it's a job ad doesn't mean it is only addressing individuals transcribing alone.

6000 lines for SE in Texas
my region requires 6000 lines for SE, which i think sucks. I was lied to months ago. they said that all offices were going to require 6000 lines for SE's across the board. I don't know what would make me think they were telling the truth!!
I think its 6000 lines per pay period and 20 hours.....but
s
I'm fulltime IC, need to get 10,000 lines per pay period, believe parttimers need 5000 per pay
period.  They've been very flexible with me, as long as I get in the required lines by the end of the pay period.  We use DQS platform, which is user friendly, but I don't think it's as easy to get lines as on some of the other platforms, I think because of the way it counts them.  DSG is a good fit for me, always treated me fairly, pay is on time.
4000-5000+ lines per day of correcting awful VR? No thanks.
x
I was told 6000 lines for 2 weeks when I hired
in as an SE 6 weeks ago.

Full time with Transtech is both. 40 hours per week and 5500 lines per week.
x
12K lines payperiod is 6K lines a week.
nm
I would only do the mininum forms...
required to learn more about the job. To me, it does no good to go through a 30-day process of sorts only to find out say, for instance, pay is not acceptable for you.
How many lines do you do in a week?
,
More than 1200 lines a week?
so what's the point in being so rude to wandering MT?
11,000 lines per 2 week period. nm

150 lph x7-8 hrs or 5500 lines a week for 35 hr min.
X
I know people who are doing 10,000 lines per week, sm
20,000 per period. I find it hard to believe that a recruiter would have discouraged you from hiring on here.
As for hiring now, there are new accounts coming on in December and January; that's why they are advertising for more MTs at this time.
Ugg this is so frustrating! I am going to try to get more lines the first week
of the payperiod and maybe that will help. I have a child but he is away for the summer so I am able to sit and wait 24/7. I just have to juggle the bills this time around, either pay for the furniture or the rent, but not both. Will be lying low this week food-wise too, good thing I am alone and can cut back on going anywhere or buying anything. Perhaps the recession will end and the new accounts will help. Going elsewhere might end up being the same thing, so I am going to overlap TT with something else. Just thinking aloud here... thanks for your feedback. It is hard to talk to coworkers when you are home and don't know anyone in the area who does the same kind of work.

How many hours in a week do you normally work to get your lines in?
Just curious. I work 50-plus hours here to make it work for our family, would love to cut back
I am able to make 10,000 lines M-F every week at eTransPlus - nm
x
Lines to type would be nice for MT week.

Excuse me but I am ahead of my lines for the week anyway sm
so if I want to make an omelete, that is my choice. Was I complaining for being out of work at that particular moment? No. Besides, I have work now and also, we are allowed a 30 minute break to eat by government criteria. I don't know if you know that or not.
11,000 per week editing lines, 5,500 straight typed.
Don't know how much it is for husband and kids. $70 a week for me and two kids.
MQ. PTflex...2000 lines/week and 401K.
NM
Now that bonuses are paid by total lines per week sm
it doesn't matter what your LPH total is, so you can stay clocked in or out for those little things, as you choose.
I love it. Got my full-time lines first week.
First time in years I am back to making my old money again. A good match for me, at least. IMHO. Been in the business over 26 years and I like it a lot. Can see acct. specs while typing, samples, have normals and inserts, etc. Never a problem and that was from day 1. And I am not a recruiter, I am an MT who has been around the block enough times to know a good think when I have it and to stay put. Good luck to you.
Can anyone tell me the required amount of hours/lines for part time per week for Focus? nm
nm
Told minimum PT was 3500 lines a week; requires 2 weekend days a month nm
xx
6000 per pay
s
SE, 0.875 cpl, 6000 l/pp, with
up to 2 cpl incentive for 16K l/pp and quarterly bonuses. Been there 2 months. Love it!

Got labor day bonuses of $40 for first 800 lines and $20 each 400 lines after that.

Getting bonuses this weekend with lots of "mystery" jobs for $10, $15, $20, $25, and $50!
20 hours/5000 lpp
It's on the MLS web site under company info, policies and procedures, part time policy.
AT&T's ULD is only 5000 minutes, which

may cover you for 2 weeks if you work FT.   I'd be looking for another plan if I were you.

I was investigating this a couple of weeks ago and I did read somewhere about unlimited up to 5000 and then after that you would need to get a business plan, but I didn't specifically read anything that said the unlimited was only limited to 5000.

I did talk with someone at AT&T last week because I had switched from them to digital phone service through my cable internet provider and she said we have unlimited long distance for $24.95 and I said yes but your unlimited isn't really unlimited and she said no that the limit was 5000 minutes.

That only probably leaves 5000 who
didn't e-mail you.  A union will NEVER happen.
WebMx will now have 800 MTs, MQ 6000. nm
nm
1200 day x 5 - 6000 (I think) nm
nm
lol. My bad...I meant $5000 consistently
CHEERS!
Spheris now has 5500 to 6000 as of last
ss
MQ has 6000? Ouch - 2 years ago they had 9-10,000
x
5500-6000 month
40 hr wk, large teaching hospital.
I make $4000-5000 but NOT WORKING for a national
I just couldn't even make $1800/month working for a national because they kept running out of work, or had me tied to a computer for 7 days a week, or I was getting up at 4 a.m. just to try to get some work before running out. I certainly would never work for MQ because I would have made less than $1800/month, but that's just me. I now do it independently, and I'm not bragging, but most of my months vary in the $4000/range. A couple have been less, and the most has been $7000/month. JUST NOT FOR A NATIONAL. NO WAY, NO HOW!
Payperiod ... 2 wks....6K lines/week or 12K payperiod.
nm
Nope .. email on 1/18 promised "within the next week." Here we are, 1 week later and no info.
x
The minimum is 5500 per week, NOT 6600 per week. I think you made a typo. :)
NM
Not what I was told; 3500/wk part-time & 6000 wk/full-time. nm
nm
i clear over 800 a week, 40/week; 30+ year experience. (nm)
