It isn't just about MT - it's about all the jobs in the US that used to be good jobs where a worker could make a comfortable living. MT used to be a good, solid career choice when I first started.

And you're right about globalization. I suppose for people in the Third World, globalization is a good thing. For those of us in developed countries, though, it's lowered our standard of living. Call me selfish (and I'm sure many of the throat-slitters on this board will do just that), but I don't want to see my standard of living go down to India's level.
