Betcha tried though
LOLOL
You betcha
they have no legal recourse here. But that tells me all I know about that company--I would never, EVER apply to them and I bet most other folks with good sense would feel the same.
I betcha
the company gets paid for the template though.
betcha i know who it is!!
I finally did move on, sounds the lady I worked for previously. I feel for you!!
I betcha the IRS would investigate
in a heartbeat if someone involved would rat them out.
You betcha it's a scam
and many hospital administrators, HR directors, and heads of large nationals and smaller services know it. Their credential has about as much validity than something that you get out of a Cracker Jack box. Maybe if its officers had been thinking more about working class MTs and less about their own executive (I use the word advisedly here) positions, it would be different, but the AAMT veered off course waaaay back when it was still the AAMT and most people now recognize it for what it is.....or isn't.
You betcha I have job-seeking lately
I just started my second job (one for the insurance, the other for the high cpl it pays) and started my new second job three months ago. And no, I do not get paid like a newbie.
You betcha I care if they have
an association with MQ and India. AMERICAN JOBS FOR AMERICAN WORKERS! Keep the work at home.
I will just betcha that 401k
matching is only for FT employees and from other posts it seems that it can be really hard to make the requisite $900 per pay period, through no fault of your own.  This is a classic carrot/stick management technique.  Offer 401k matching, insurance, vacation time, pie in the sky, and then make sure nobody ever qualifies for it by manipulating the work pools.  Then warn, then demote to PT.
I betcha they'd be tickled to death to get you.
Experience counts for a lot these days.
You betcha some are makin the $4 and some aren't.
nm
Betcha most do (or at least get permission to), and applicants don't

You betcha I have heard of TransAm
It is known as TranSCAM in the industry. I am an old MT from the sixties (will retire in two more years, yay!) and I have comforted more weeping women who have lot money to this scam. If you believe TranSCAM has anything to offer, there is a nice bridge up north of here in San Francisco that I will sell you for fifty bucks. Seriously, my friend, you need a good, decent education. Even with that, I would advise anyone to consider another career. I was lucky to be an MT in its golden age. I now make 50% less than I did in the 90s and I am quite good at what I do. I predict that within five years, the MT industry as we know it will be dead--or all offshored. Good luck to you. If you are determined to become an MT, you need a decent school. I recommend either Andrews or M-TEC. Whatever you do, please, please, please, avoid TranSCAM. These people are parasites.
You betcha - worst schedule on earth it seems.
I've been working weekends for 10 years and seven days a week for 3 years. I'm about ready just to tell the office I'm not doing it anymore - I did my time. If they want to fire me, fine. It's totally ridiculous to be horsewhipped this way. No other profession on earth is forced to work 24/7 the way we are with no days off, no vacation time, nothing ever! - even doctors and nurses get SOME time off, or rotate weekends so they can have some kind of a life. Sheez, even indentured servants and house help in Medieval Europe got one day off every two weeks! SOMETHING to look forward to - some kind of a rest!

So yeah, your message really hit a nerve today:) Believe me, you are not alone. When the heck are we going to organize and stop letting ourselves be bullied by these slavedrivers?
that is either the mtso rate or no middle man at all, betcha-nm
.
Betcha they're located offshore!

I betcha it IS HIPAA regs that rule out wireless
Doctors etc. cannot use cell phones to dictate their reports, right? If this is true, I bet the use of wireless to deliver their dictations to at-home transcriptionists is considered potentially not secure. Well, two modems it is for me and I am really glad I asked this question. Thank you all for your feedback.
