Many other MTs can confirm that
the line counting is different from most companies out there. If you do decide to go with them I would ask for a higher line rate to compensate for that. That is the only way you will make any money there. When I asked for a verification of report numbers to go along with their respective line counts for each the company got very hostile with me and said they could not provide it. I have had email after email from MTs that currently work there looking for a way out but afraid to speak out for fear of being fired before they find something else or fear of being sued. This company is sending out some bad vibes. When MT after MT tells the same story over and over again you have to be inclined to investigate further. If you must try it anyway, be sure that you get all info up front and a very good line rate.
    I can confirm it...
I was offered 9 cpl a few weeks ago on an account with no VR (though the tech installed another platform on my PC (meaning of course I would be doing VR sooner or later, like it or not). This was a second shift Tues-Sat position. Thank God I also heard from another smaller company and very quickly and happily went with them at 8 cpl, no VR, Sun-Thursday 3:30 to midnight, and no offshoring; the no offshoring was what decided me in the end. Plus these folks seem more professional thus far, and I feel very relieved I made this choice.
I cannot confirm or deny this one! No msg.

Can anyone confirm if Execuscribe is a (sm)
    subsidiary of Corporate Transcriptionist's?
When I can confirm my new job, I will sing the name of this company

Never w/MQ but confirm K's info on WebMedx. NM

Just needed to confirm my suspicious on here

Their reputation has gotten so bad, that they have to use another name when they
I applied for a job at Gold Standard Medical Transcription. The reply I got was from Softscript, saying they were interested in having me test for the position. When I emailed back, I asked if "Gold Standard Medical Transcription" and "Softscript" were the same company. The reply I got was "Yes". So their reputation is so bad, they have to disguise themselves with a new name....
Confirm WX post, much more for hard workers. NM

You need to confirm that with Keystrokes as I was told last week it was not. sm
I would assume each account has different software and programs as to whether it is compatible or not. I was told most of their accounts are not. So don't assume that all Keystrokes accounts are compatible.
Obviously not soon enough to save the reputation of
the company and possibly some good MTs.  If there are more like her around there, no wonder they get such bad comments.
I think they have a good reputation, but they don't

They do have a seem lot of happy employees, though.  I don't work for them, just try keep tabs on the different companies on here and how they compare.

    They have a lousy reputation
I'm so sorry for those affected by this. I don't think I have ever seen a positive post about that company in the several years I have been coming to this board.
    Softscript reputation
Apparently, you're the designated apologist for what I would describe as a criminal enterprise, in my opinion. If you are so enamored by them, why not divulge your real name? There is nothing good, decent or kind about this company. Lawsuits a plenty; some settled out of court and hidden. Over 200% turnover of personnel annually because no one likes the management or the supervisors- most are uneducated and many lack any tact whatsoever; losing many contracts. Can't find one fellow MT who thinks it is worth the stress they put you through. Bunch of know-nothings and do-nothings run the place. Trust me, this company will be belly-up within two years! Good luck!
she's here checking on her own reputation. nm
    .
I think having a reputation for suing MTs for
posting on a message board will 'scare off MTs' more than anything else, LOL.
Youch. Can any current TRS'er confirm if this is true? nm

They've had that reputation for years now. How DO these

Good point. I was just speaking of their reputation.

Yes, I second the motion on everything the other poster. Bad test files and reputation
for no pay. I know there was a controversy on here way back about her not paying or something. I cant remember it all but it did not sound good.
Focus has always had a bad reputation as an Indian company to name a few issues
so my belief is that they include that so it sounds like a more creditable company. JMO
the alternative is to allow reputation-damaging lies to go unchallenged ...
Without understanding exactly why TT decided that this lawsuit is worth it on balance, doubtless they were aware it would cause controversy and some (most likely temporary) backlash.

The company I worked for 10-15 years ago that similar sued a couple of ex-employees who went on a rampage bashing them remains one of the largest, if not the largest national around ...

As I said, I don't recall anything about damages ... it may simply have resulted in a court ordered injunction to post no more ...

The medical transciption industry is highly competitive. With the economic downturn of the last year I had expected more than a couple bankruptcies ... I suspect the move from local MTSO's to Nationals is responsible (since they are more likely to qualify for keep-float loans and have more deep-pocket hospital clients who pay on time -- as opposed to shoestring doctors' office practices) -- they also have the deep pockets to pursue litigation.

Again, apparently the people at TT felt that defending their good name in this case was worth it.
Softscript has a very poor reputation. Search the archives and you will see negative info going way
